After winning the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi, Manchester City received a hero's welco as they returned to Manchester.

When captain Kompany appeared holding the Club World Cup trophy, the fans outside the Etihad Stadium went wild.

This was the first world championship in Manchester City's history.

But the real celebration would take place two days later, during the 17th round of the Premier League.

Due to their participation in the Club World Cup, Manchester City's Round 16 ho match against Arsenal was postponed to January. So currently, they had one ga less than the other teams in the league table.
