Chapter 963: Chapter 103: Senior Sister An Is the First to Be Eliminated

After finishing off the Nascent Soul cultivators, Ling Yunpo swiftly scanned the surroundings and noticed several cultivators attempting to flee in panic within the distant cloud layers.

He hesitated briefly but quickly decided there was no need to pursue them.

Since the secret realm periodically broadcasts his location as the Tai Yin Sword Master, rely letting a few cultivators go wouldn’t pose any “leak of information” risk.

On the contrary, these cultivators could spread tales of the Tai Yin Sword Master’s terrifying might, deterring those who might have designs on pursuing him. Thus, letting them go was clearly more beneficial than harmful.

“Let’s move.” Ling Yunpo quickly said upon returning to Senior Sister An.

“Where to?” An Zhisu asked.

“To the seabed,” Ling Yunpo replied.

The two pointed their sword light downward and soon subrged into the seawater.

The further they dove into the deep sea, the more difficult the chaotic currents beca to resist. Soon, Senior Sister An found it hard to maintain her balance and began swaying precariously.

“Hang on for a little longer, Senior Sister,” Ling Yunpo urged her. “The seabed offers poor visibility and is full of hidden currents—making it the perfect place to conceal ourselves.”

“Junior Brother, don’t forget that the secret realm broadcasts your location periodically,” An Zhisu countered with a differing opinion. “Even if the seabed can obscure light, it won’t completely prevent pursuit.”

“Moreover, these turbulent currents not only hinder the enemy but also limit us… We’d be better off staying above the surface. No matter how many co after us, we kill them all!”

Ling Yunpo felt a headache coming on, realizing Senior Sister was fed up with sneaking around and dissatisfied with the lack of battle opportunities underwater—hence her objection.

Lying in wait at the surface wasn’t entirely out of the question.

After all, if things went awry, they could simply dive back underwater at any mont.

The two remained above the sea, waiting for their pursuers to arrive.

However, for so reason, even after waiting a long ti, no cultivators attacked them.

While An Zhisu grew bored of waiting, Ling Yunpo sensed sothing was amiss and quickly instructed the Kunlun Mirror to expand its scanning range.

A sweep revealed hundreds of cultivators hiding sneakily in the higher cloud layers, apparently plotting sothing!

Seeing their numbers, Ling Yunpo felt an imdiate headache.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t defeat them; rather, annihilating so many cultivators at once would make hiding his strength impossible.

Once the news reached Shushan, everyone would think—Wow, the Tai Yin Sword Master is unbelievable, wiping out nearly a hundred Nascent Soul cultivators single-handedly. Wouldn’t Kunlun’s Changgeng Sword Master be child’s play for him…?

That would be shooting himself in the foot.

While Ling Yunpo second-guessed himself, the cultivators in the clouds had no such worries. Since dying in the secret realm wouldn’t result in actual death, soon, ten or so reckless individuals charged directly toward the duo below.

“Good timing!” Before Ling Yunpo could suggest retreating for now, An Zhisu’s eyes lit up, and she imdiately flew her sword to et them head-on.

Her counterattack startled the dozen cultivators.

Facing ten tis her numbers and still daring to charge head-on—how bold was this Shushan cultivator?

In the next mont, they understood the reason for her recklessness.

As they closed within a hundred ters of her, the cultivators unleashed their Daoist magic, released magical treasures, and flooded the sky with dazzling lights aid at An Zhisu.

An Zhisu remained unfazed and swiftly entered Man-Sword Unity, causing her sword light to explode!

The sword light skillfully threaded through gaps between the countless streaks of brilliance, then swept rapidly across the crowd. Imdiately, three or four Nascent Soul cultivators’ chests burst open, turning them into white light.

Panic broke out within the ranks of the cultivators. Many began flailing chaotic spells outward, hoping to lock onto An Zhisu’s position.

Ling Yunpo watched from below, inwardly marveling.

Even though the enemy had superior numbers, Senior Sister An’s Innate Sword Heart had already discerned their greatest weakness—lack of teamwork.

Most of these Nascent Soul cultivators ca from small sects and were accustod to fighting alone. Rarely do they face situations requiring coordination with allies, and once An Zhisu disrupted their formation, their lack of coordination beca even more glaring—everyone fought on their own, with so even struggling to avoid harming their own teammates.

This chaos further eroded mutual trust, allowing An Zhisu to continue her slaughter as the remaining cultivators not only had to deal with her but also feared getting hit by friendly fire—leaving them completely trapped and constrained.

“Looks like you won’t even need to step in,” the Kunlun Mirror remarked. “Your Senior Sister alone will finish them off.”

“No,” Ling Yunpo replied.

“Why not?” Kunlun Mirror curiously asked.

“Because there’s one scenario where teamwork isn’t necessary,” Ling Yunpo said.

The Kunlun Mirror quickly scanned the area and found that the first wave of Nascent Soul cultivators had mostly been slain by An Zhisu.

The subsequent cultivators had learned from the first group’s failed charge, opting not to engage An Zhisu directly. Instead, they hurled long-range Daoist magic, magical treasures, and Flying Swords toward her from a safe distance.

When nearly a hundred Nascent Soul cultivators attacked simultaneously, the sheer scale of the assault beca overwhelming. Countless streaks of brilliance tore through the curtain of torrential rain, all converging on An Zhisu.

Even with An Zhisu’s murderous aura, she dared not face such a concentrated attack head-on. She swiftly pulled back her sword light and, together with Ling Yunpo, dove into the seawater below.

Heh! Ling Yunpo sneered inwardly. Fighting or not, they still had to retreat.

As the two dove into layer upon layer of seawater above, countless streaks of brilliance rained down, striking the water’s surface. Invisible, massive shockwaves rippled outward, combining with the seabed’s treacherous currents to toss them into disarray—their movents montarily beyond control.

Suddenly, the surrounding water temperature began to rise sharply.

Looking downward, Ling Yunpo spotted a half-extinguished, dim stellar remnant still radiating intense heat, quietly yet dangerously lying on the seabed.

An Zhisu, swept by the undercurrents toward the stellar remnant, instantly dissolved into white light amidst the scalding water—unable to hold on for even a breath.

“Ah Jing, teleport!” Ling Yunpo urgently shouted in panic.

In a swirl of disorienting motion, he was whisked away from the stellar remnant, returning to safer, cooler waters.

After this sudden episode, Ling Yunpo felt a mont of lingering fear, realizing that the seabed was no less perilous than the surface.

On the surface, you’d only be pursued; in the depths, if swept into a stellar remnant’s heat range, you’d be vaporized into white light in an instant… Oh, but I have Ah Jing’s teleportation, so I’m fine.

Scanning upward again, he noted that the cultivators hadn’t pursued them into the sea, clearly wary of the seabed’s deadly currents and scorching stellar remnants.

If you dare not co down, then I’ll just have to go back up!
