Chapter 940: Chapter 80 Golden Flowing Light

Ti flows unceasingly, like a swift steed glimpsed through a crack, vanishing in the blink of an eye.

It was once again winter—that is to say, in a snow-covered region like the Kunlun Mountain Range, describing it as “eternal winter” would be no exaggeration, so it went unnoticed by all.

One day, the Ziwei Master summoned Qiu Changtian to the Jade Void Palace. As soon as they t, he stated succinctly:

“There has been a discovery at the Extre North Heaven Pillar.”

“Oh?” Qiu Changtian asked in surprise. “Has soone been stationed there by the celestial beings for observation?”

“It was I who arranged for soone,” the Ziwei Master replied. “After all, your analysis that day was reasonable and grounded. I feared missing an opportunity, so I sent one of your senior brothers to keep watch there.”

Qiu Changtian inwardly chuckled. Reasonable perhaps, but with no solid evidence; it was re conjecture.

That senior brother, sent to such a freezing wasteland because of a single comnt from him, truly had bad luck.

“Just recently,” continued Ziwei Master, “your senior brother sent a ssage via flying sword, reporting seeing a streak of light streaking across the Heavenly Do, disappearing swiftly, yet recurring daily.”

“It remains unclear whether it is connected to the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden,” Qiu Changtian cautiously replied. “It must be confird before reporting it to the celestial beings.”

“Indeed,” Ziwei Master said approvingly.

When lacking any clues, one can propose various hypotheses; the celestial beings know they are guesses and will not take them too seriously.

However, when evidence suggesting a potential lead erges, only for the celestial beings to later discover it is unrelated to the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden, disappointnt becos inevitable—best to avoid such situations.

Thus, the two set out from the Kunlun Mountain Range once more, riding their swords northward to the Heaven Pillar, where they t a Kunlun cultivator who ca forward to greet them.

“Sect Leader.” The cultivator, once a direct disciple of the Ziwei Master and now at the Nascent Soul Realm, referred to him as “Sect Leader” instead of “Master.” “It is at that spot, appearing daily at the exact sa ti.”

Qiu Changtian checked the ti and, based on his senior brother’s indication of the location, confird the approximate range before patiently waiting.

Shortly after the appointed ti, a streak of golden light streaked along the Immortal Seal Script rivers on the barriers of the Heavenly Do, swift as a startled swan or a bolt of lightning, vanishing in the blink of an eye beyond everyone’s sight.

The Ziwei Master imdiately beca serious and asked:

“This happens daily?”

“Daily,” the senior brother replied, “though initially it appeared slightly later; it has since shifted earlier.”

“Changgeng.” Ziwei Master pondered for a long while before softly asking, “What do you think?”

anwhile, Qiu Changtian consulted the Kunlun Mirror:

“Well? Did the scan reveal anything?”

“It did,” the Kunlun Mirror replied. “It is a spatial entrance, akin to the one at the peak of Yuling Island where the Dao light flows; there must be a secret realm hidden within.”

“As for what lies inside, that cannot yet be determined.”

“Hmm.” Qiu Changtian then said to the Ziwei Master, “The earlier appearance seems to align closer to noon.”

“I have recently spent so free ti studying details of the Heavenly Do’s rotational points.”

“The Heavenly Do’s rotational points oscillate east and west daily and migrate north and south annually. The closer they are to the Extre South or Extre North, the smaller the east-west oscillation becos.”

“This ans as the rotational points approach the Extre North, the areas around them on the Heavenly Do will slow sufficiently to observe—then we can scrutinize what that golden light actually is.”

His words remained cautious; he stopped short of claiming the golden light was definitely the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden, suggesting only they “investigate further.”

Ziwei Master remained silent for a long while before finally saying:

“I will invite a celestial being.”

The golden light tracing so close to the barriers of the Heavenly Do, even if unrelated to the legendary Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden Secret Realm, was certainly sothing extraordinarily rare, requiring a celestial being’s intervention to claim.

About half a day later, the Chi Song Immortal arrived elegantly at the site.

“The golden light?” he asked Qiu Changtian as soon as he landed.

“Yes,” Qiu Changtian replied, describing the light in detail, while his senior brother looked on in envy.

“It sounds like a spatial fissure,” Chi Song Immortal mused. “et here again at the appointed ti tomorrow.”

Though they awaited the appointed ti the following day, Chi Song Immortal did not idle. Guided by Qiu Changtian’s earlier indications, he flew close to the barriers of the Heavenly Do, his flowing sleeves weaving as he manipulated nurous talismans and magical treasures, carrying out unknown preparations.

By the afternoon of the next day, at the precise mont, all eyes widened with anticipation. The golden light once again appeared on ti, moving with the rotation of the Heavenly Do, poised to vanish from view.

Chi Song Immortal’s robe sleeves swept, and with a low cry, he reached for the golden light.

A myriad of talisman scripts erged mid-air, causing the golden light to briefly freeze… but in the next instant, its radiance erupted violently, shattering all the runic scripts. The golden light vanished from all sight once more.

Qiu Changtian: ………

The others: ………

Chi Song Immortal, however, showed little frustration on his face. Standing silently, he stroked his beard in contemplation.

After a while, he suddenly spoke:

“Ziwei.”

“Yes,” Ziwei Master quickly stepped forward.

“Station cultivators here to guard this area,” Chi Song Immortal said slowly. “This golden light’s trajectory is drawing closer to the Heaven Pillar daily.”

“When it finally converges with the Heaven Pillar, that will be the mont of opportunity… I must consult with Long Eyebrow and Wan Xiang on this matter, so let there be no leaks beforehand.”

“Understood,” Ziwei Master replied crisply. “The only ones privy to this are the four people present.”

“Good.” Chi Song Immortal glanced at the senior brother, then at the silently-standing Qiu Changtian, and smiled, “This success owes much to Changgeng’s deduction.”

With that, he transford into a streak of light and vanished.

Judging by Chi Song Immortal’s certainty, it seed he had confird the existence of the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden… for otherwise, notifying Shushan or Penglai prematurely, only for it to be proven untrue, would surely bring embarrassnt.

Qiu Changtian mused inwardly and then heard Ziwei Master say:

“Changgeng, Tongzhu, you both shall remain here and ensure that no outsiders approach.”

With that, the Sect Leader also turned into a streak of light and disappeared.

Qiu Changtian smiled wryly for a mont before clasping his hands respectfully toward Elder Tongzhu, saying:

“I seem to have inconvenienced you, Senior Brother.”

“It is no issue,” Elder Tongzhu replied with a laugh. “Since the celestial being regards this matter with such importance, having us here wards off anyone in the sect from probing and leaking information.”

“That goes without saying,” Qiu Changtian agreed.

“I’ve built a cave dwelling below on the ice plains,” Elder Tongzhu continued with a smile. “If you find yourself free, co by, and we can chat.”
