Chapter 938: Chapter 78: The Seven Treasures Mystical Garden, The Heart of the Heavenly Do
After becoming a Kunlun Elder, although the authority beca extrely heavy, the things to do daily seed to have decreased significantly.
Apart from daily cultivation and ntoring disciples, there was plenty of free ti to allocate, without being forced by the sect to handle various trivial errands—of course, there had been no wars recently in the Cultivation Realm, nor any ancient secret realms erging. As a result, the elders were rather leisurely, only gathering once a month in the Jade Void Palace to fulfill their duties in discussing and deciding sect matters.
Ultimately, spending the entire eting in ditative concentration is sufficient.
The lifespan of those in the Nascent Soul Realm can generally reach over five thousand years, so everyone takes their ti on matters; spending several months debating one issue is considered normal.
It is said that Kunlun Taiqing Sect is relatively better in such matters, as Ziwei Master dislikes dragging things out. In so smaller sects, however, things get exaggerated: Nascent Soul elders essentially lean towards non-intervention, yet when they do get involved, it’s usually to oppose sothing—leading to policy stagnation because nobody wants to waste ti persuading them.
On this particular day, Qiu Changtian was once again summoned to a eting in the Jade Void Palace.
Arriving at the main hall and seeing an unexpectedly complete roster of attending elders, he imdiately knew sothing major must have occurred.
A big event was coming!
As he pondered with a thoughtful expression, Ziwei Master suddenly spoke:
“Clouds drift across the North Sea; rain sweeps through Southern Ming. The dark force lies in central command; the Heavenly Canopy descends to the divine barracks. The divine officer holds the jade seal; Tai Yi raises the golden banner.”
“Changgeng, how do you think these lines about the Golden Que Secret Realm should be interpreted?”
Qiu Changtian paused briefly before responding:
“Based on the correlations from previous secret realms, these lines likely hint at the location of the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden.”
“Clouds drift across the North Sea; rain sweeps through Southern Ming. Since it ntions clouds and rain, it must be sothing hovering high above the Heavenly Do.”
“Morning in the North Sea, evening in Southern Ming. This suggests that the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden is either vast enough to encompass the entire Divine Land, including parts of the North Sea and Southern Ming, or it moves extrely fast, traversing from the North Sea to Southern Ming instantaneously—thus fulfilling the condition of simultaneous rainfall in both places.”
“Considering the subsequent lines ‘The dark force lies in central command; the Heavenly Canopy descends to the divine barracks,’ I believe it’s more likely an extrely fast-moving entity.”
“Otherwise, if it were as large as the Divine Land, then with the dark force central command and the Heavenly Canopy barracks guarding the secret realm, there would surely be massive numbers of guards spread across it—making it difficult to remain unnoticed.”
At this mont, a Kunlun Elder suddenly interjected:
“Though logically speaking, terms such as ‘central command’ and ‘barracks’ imply military oversight, it doesn’t necessarily an they must perate every corner of the secret realm. Could it be possible that the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden itself is extrely vast, but the core area within it is small, requiring fewer guards?”
“If the core area is small, then why must the entire realm be so vast?” Qiu Changtian countered.
The other party fell silent in deliberation.
“Yet if it’s an extrely fast-moving entity, it would explain why it has remained undiscovered.” Qiu Changtian continued. “Even less likely is creating such a vast realm unless there’s a specific reason to do so.”
“So then, Elder Changgeng, where do you think the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden is located?” another Kunlun Elder asked. “If it’s truly an extrely fast-moving entity, does that an it continuously patrols the skies day and night?”
“Considering the vastness of the Divine Land, if it transitions from the North Sea in the morning to Southern Ming at night, its speed would undoubtedly be so fast as to remain undetectable. How, then, can we pinpoint its location?”
If the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden cannot be located, then there is little hope of finding a way to enter it.
“Leave that aside for a mont.” Qiu Changtian paused briefly before continuing, “Fellow elders, have you ever considered—what is the fastest thing in the sky?”
Everyone exchanged glances.
Clouds? Wind? Surely not birds?
“Naturally, the Heavenly Do is the fastest.” Ziwei Master suddenly remarked. “The Heavenly Do completes a rotation around the Divine Land continent in one day.”
“If we say the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden moves extrely fast, then what allows it to move that quickly?” Qiu Changtian added. “Birds flap their wings; wind is driven by pressure from hot and cold air currents. If the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden is attached to the Heavenly Do, then wouldn’t its traversal from the North Sea in the morning to Southern Ming by evening make perfect sense?”
The Kunlun elders fell silent, each expressing admiration through sighs.
To put it simply, even in a cultivation realm with highly advanced cultivation practices, the convenience of spells and skills has limited the developnt of scientific reasoning.
Many cultivators learn about spells and divine skills by strictly adhering to what’s recorded in ancient texts, seldom questioning why things work the way they do.
Why does the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden move? Because it’s attached to the Heavenly Do. The Heavenly Do rotates, and so does the secret realm—whether or not this theory holds true in practice, it certainly sounds plausible.
As for how to approach the Heavenly Do, that’s not sothing Nascent Soul realm cultivators need to worry about; it will require intervention from immortals instead.
After the eting, Ziwei Master summoned Qiu Changtian and asked:
“What you said earlier—are you confident about it?”
“Not confident at all,” Qiu Changtian replied.
“I see.” Ziwei Master nodded.
If Qiu Changtian had sworn by his words and resulted in Chi Song Immortal investigating only to find nothing, it would certainly impact his reputation in the eyes of the immortals.
Since it’s rely speculation, it’s fine—at worst, they’ll patrol the skies and see what happens. No harm done.
Bringing Qiu Changtian to the Heaven’s Gate Hall, Ziwei Master relayed Qiu Changtian’s suppositions to Chi Song Immortal.
“Does Changgeng have confidence in this?” Chi Song Immortal’s reaction was precisely what Ziwei Master had anticipated.
“This junior has no confidence in it whatsoever,” Qiu Changtian replied. “But if the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden is indeed suspended high in the sky, then even if it’s not attached to the Heavenly Do, it must still require patrolling the skies to track its path.”
“I see.” Chi Song Immortal nodded. “I often patrol the skies with other immortals, yet I’ve never encountered such a ‘secret realm attached to the Heavenly Do.'”
“But if the secret realm travels thousands of miles per day, following the rotation of the Heavenly Do, can immortals clearly discern it?” Qiu Changtian pressed.
“Probably not,” Chi Song Immortal replied with a shake of his head. “The speed of the Heavenly Do is beyond my capability.”
If even immortals admit they cannot match its speed, how fast must the Heavenly Do truly be?
Qiu Changtian pondered for a mont before asking:
“How does the Heavenly Do move, in terms of its trajectory?”
“Its movent varies throughout the four seasons,” Chi Song Immortal answered. “In general, it revolves. During sumr, its rotational center shifts southward; in winter, northward.”
“So, at the rotational center, the Heavenly Do essentially appears stationary,” Qiu Changtian quickly remarked.
Both Chi Song Immortal and Ziwei Master were montarily stunned.
Though the two were both seasoned and highly skilled cultivators, unfamiliarity with pure mathematical concepts such as linear velocity and angular velocity limited their comprehension in such areas.
Now, with Qiu Changtian’s guidance, they imdiately understood.
“If the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden secret realm is indeed adhering to the inner wall of the Heavenly Do,” Ziwei Master said gravely, “Could its movent speed vary depending on the rotational center’s position throughout the seasons?”
“For instance, on a particular day of the year, the position of the Seven Treasures Mysterious Garden might align with the rotational center, allowing cultivators from the Lower Realm to enter; the rest of the year, it rotates around the center, making it impossible to locate or access?”
