Konoha Village, the next morning, Kagami was called into the laboratory by Tobirama.
"Adjusting the proportions of the fusion agent is always a ti-consuming process, but we all know that once your vision is lost, the front line will collapse imdiately." Tobirama said gravely, "Ti is running out."
"So, Master, your aning is..." Kagami understood that if Tobirama had called him here, he must already have a plan.
"The mutual fusion of gene solutions requires a lot of experints to obtain data, and clearly, neither ti nor resources can afford such consumption."
Tobirama scrutinized him and slowly said, "I rember your ocular technique. Not only can it observe the imdiate future, but it can also consciously interfere with reality to alter the possibilities of the future, thereby choosing the path you decide, right?"
"That's right."
Kagami nodded, thinking that his teacher was indeed impressive, having such a thorough understanding of his ocular technique.
"That's good. I plan to use your precognitive abilities to avoid failed fusion ratios, which will significantly reduce the number of experints." Tobirama explained, leading him to a new experintal instrunt.
This is a machine that can automatically adjust the concentration ratio. By inputting different numbers, it can produce solutions of corresponding concentrations, thereby controlling the fusion of Hashirama's gene solution and Kagami's gene solution.
Under Tobirama's careful guidance, Kagami quickly learned how to operate the instrunt.
"Next, activate 'Takamagahara.' To avoid excessive strain on your left eye, you need to think as quickly as possible..."
Tobirama pointed to the glassware inside the glass, "Choose the right proportions, and the gene solution will imdiately begin to fuse. Whether it succeeds or fails, it will all be in your foreseeable future."
"I understand!"
Kagami widened his eyes, his left Mangekyō spinning, his fingers resting on the instrunt. Although he hadn't moved yet, his eyes already showed countless tilines, as if facing a complex fork in the road.
As the thoughts in his mind changed, the future in the 'Takamagahara' vision kept flickering, countless images flashing by like movie film, each one a possible future.
But without exception, all were failures!
His face was calm, but his eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and tiny beads of cold sweat appeared on his forehead, clearly undergoing a trendous ntal challenge.
Tobirama focused intently, his gaze fixed firmly on Kagami's face, and even he couldn't help but feel tense.
Ti ticked by second by second, and finally, after a long 2 minutes, Kagami wearily closed his eyelids, shutting off the Sharingan.
Tobirama noticed that his left eye was completely bloodshot, vivid and dripping.
"I watched 14,000,605 futures." Kagami opened his eyes, and although he hadn't done anything, he was gasping for breath.
"And the result?" Tobirama held his breath, his right hand gripping the armrest tightly.
Kagami tremulously extended a finger, "Only one set of data is correct... and it's the only one!"
He carefully and solemnly input a set of data, then pressed the button.
"Buzz..."
The instrunts operated at high speed, adjusting until a drop of blue solution fell into the glass vessel, blending with Kagami's genetic solution to form a dark purple color.
Imdiately after, a drop of golden solution flowed down the pipette, landing in the vessel along with Tobirama's heart, which was almost leaping out of his throat.
"Gulu gulu."
Golden threads spread and diffused within the purple droplets, and after a slight tremor, the droplets slowly turned crimson gold, eventually settling into a calm, unwavering state.
"Suc... Success!"
Tobirama's face showed a rare excitent as he grasped Kagami's hand, his eyes trembling: "It's unbelievable! Kagami, you've accelerated our progress by decades!"
"This set of data is too important!"
"If it weren't for your ocular technique, even with ample resources, I wouldn't know how long I'd have to experint alone. Completing the experint before the war ends would be impossible! You... have accomplished a great feat!"
Kagami forced a smile, his eyes filled with exhaustion, and said, "So, can I inject the gene solution now?"
"Almost there!" Tobirama quickly jotted down the last data input by Kagami, his movents hurried. "Don't rush, the next task is to attempt injecting the gene solution into your cells. We can only proceed with the injection after confirming everything is normal. We only get one chance, so we can't afford to be careless!"
He imdiately threw himself into work. "We've already obtained a sample of your cells. During this ti, you can go rest..."
...
January, the 14th year of Konoha.
The frontline Cloud forces regrouped and launched a fierce assault on Kikyō Mountain once again.
Uchiha Kagami imdiately returned to the Kikyō Mountain position to fight alongside his comrades from Konoha.
However, this attack from Kumogakure was unusually fierce, with a montum of breaking the cauldron and sinking the boat. It seed that the entire elite force of Kumogakure had been mobilized, determined not to stop until they breached Kikyō Mountain.
Kinkaku was like a madman, rampaging across the battlefield, even at the cost of serious injuries, he relentlessly bombarded Kikyō Mountain with Tailed Beast Balls. If it weren't for Kagami holding him back and tily using Hiraishin to transfer his comrades, the main force of Konoha would likely have suffered heavy casualties.
Even so, many companions from the Sarutobi clan and the Ino-Shika-Chō trio were lost. Although the position was held, Kagami still blad himself deeply for it.
On the eastern front, the forces led by Uzumaki Mito have been intermittently engaging with the Second Raikage for several weeks. Although they have temporarily restrained the enemy, the situation is not optimistic.
The reason for this is that the enemy has changed their tactics. The Second Raikage and Ginkaku have split their forces, with the Raikage continuing to command the surprise attack unit, while Ginkaku has begun guerrilla warfare, attempting to bypass the blocking forces and strike directly at Konoha.
This forced Mito to disperse so of her troops. Fortunately, there were mbers of the Hyūga clan in the team, which allowed them to detect the enemy's movents before they could break through the blockade.
But Ginkaku was as cunning as an eel. When Mito wasn't around, he would go on a rampage, wreaking havoc everywhere. But as soon as Mito arrived, he would never linger, turning and fleeing without even a word, completely disregarding any sense of honor.
This repeated several tis, leaving Mito ntally and physically exhausted, in unbearable misery, yet still having to muster her spirits to fend off the Raikage's attacks.
...
By the end of February, Tobirama finally completed the cell sample experint. After countless analyses and comparisons, every cell and tissue of Kagami seamlessly integrated with Hashirama's genetic solution. The balance between Yin Release and Yang Release was perfectly harmonized, forming a unified whole.
Next, he entrusted all the affairs of the village to the higher-ups, while he himself, disregarding the hardship, spent day and night in the research institute, all for the sake of increasing the success rate of the experints and extracting more gene fluid from Hashirama again.
After repeatedly reproducing the previous experint and confirming its accuracy, he finally notified the intelligence team to allow Kagami to return to the village.
