Ram didn't bother listening to the scar-faced man. He stepped backward, his expression calm with a grin on his face, silently signaling for Korrin and the remaining Fire Mages to take over.
The scarred man noticed Ram's retreat and smirked. "Running already? What if you brought more people with you, it's all insects... Pathetic!" he spat, raising his heavy sword and gesturing for his subordinates to advance. "Crush them!"
Korrin stepped forward, his confidence unwavering. The fire mages beside him readied their spells, their hands glowing with spell markings as spiritual power pulsed through their veins.
"You talk too much," Korrin retorted with a smirk, his aura intensifying. "Let's see if your strength matches your arrogance."
The Fire Mages split into groups, forming a periter to counter the regrouping gang mbers.
Streams of fire erupted from their hands, clashing with the glowing armor of their opponents.
The gang mbers, emboldened by their gear, charged forward with incredible speed and coordination, with fierce expressions on each of their faces, their glowing light armor absorbing the impact and damage from the fire spells.
A burly fighter at the forefront swung a massive mace, smashing through a wall of fla with sheer brute force.
His comrades followed closely behind, not much affected by the fire and the heat around them.
Two half-Drow Fire Mages stepped forward, summoning a towering column of fire that spiraled upward before crashing down on the advancing enemies.
The ground beneath the gang mbers cracked and blackened, yet they pressed on, their armor blocking the brunt of the attack.
One of the gang mbers laughed mockingly, brandishing his heavy sword as he charged through the fire.
The Fire Mages adjusted their aim, targeting the exposed joints and gaps in the glowing armor using fire arrows.
A direct hit finally staggered one of the gang mbers, his armor slightly flickering. He fell to the ground with a groan, clutching his side.
Encouraged, the mages intensified their assault, with stronger spells. Nevertheless, in front of their eyes, the previously injured gang mber rose once more, setting his sights on the adjacent Fire mage.
Ram observed the battle carefully from the rear. The gang mbers in armor matched the Half-Drow Fire Mages in speed, strength, and even resilience.
The fiery barrages that had devastated the unarmored thugs seed far less effective against these opponents.
Korrin stepped forward, his flas intensifying as he prepared a larger spell. He looked at the scar-faced man, like Ram he also stayed behind with his heavy sword on the ground.
Watching Korrin's actions, he grinned but still didn't interfere with Korrin.
"Fla Bomb!" Korrin roared, releasing the gathered spiritual power into a concentrated orb of fire toward a group of advancing gang mbers.
The orb exploded on impact, engulfing several in a large inferno.
When the flas subsided, most of the gang mbers were still standing, though their armor bore visible scorch marks.
The attack from Korrin only slowed them slightly, the glowing light of their armor pulsed, emitting bursts of energy that seed to repair minor damages while amplifying their speed and attacks.
Ram narrowed his eyes, noticing sothing unusual. The spiritual power emanating from the armored gang mbers fluctuated wildly.
At rest, it was faint, almost undetectable, but whenever they moved or attacked, their spiritual auras spiked dramatically.
"What is going on?" he muttered, focusing his Spiritual Eye on the armor itself. A translucent panel appeared before him, detailing the armor's specifications:
[Na: Spiritual Power Maneuvering Gear]
[Type: Power Amplification Device]
[Grade: Silver]
[Technology: Spiritual-Conducting Alloy Frawork Energy Core Amplification]
[Skills:
[Energy Surge]: Temporarily boosts the wearer's physical attributes (strength, agility, and durability) by 35 -50% through channeling stored spiritual energy.
[Pulse Barrier]: Emits a short-lived energy barrier upon impact, reducing damage from energy-based attacks.
[Overclock Mode]: Enhances all attributes at the cost of rapidly depleting stored energy, putting strain on the wearer.]
[Additional Features:
[Core Energy Source]: High-capacity spiritual energy cube.
[Defensive Layering]: Multi-layered alloy with self-repair capabilities when powered by spiritual energy.
[Mobility Enhancents]: Hydraulic actuators powered by spiritual energy for increased speed and agility.]
"Spiritual Power Maneuvering Gear…" Ram muttered; his voice tinged with surprise. "No wonder they're holding their ground. This tech amplifies their attributes and even slowly repairs itself."
This thing not only amplifies the spiritual power inside those gang mbers but also supplies more concentrated energy using an external energy source reducing the user's spiritual power consumption.
This not only enhances the wearer's physical attributes but also maintains them at peak state. Similar to the Bio Armor he was using through combining with Groot, except the usage principle and the amplification effect were lower than his.
"Figured it out, have you? Too late now!" The scar-faced man noticed Ram's distraction and laughed mockingly. "Hehe... that's the modified spiritual power amplification gear..."
He lunged forward, his heavy sword crackling with energy as he aid a devastating swing at Korrin.
The heavy sword, now crackling with energy, carved through the air with an audible hum, Korrin's eyes flared as he noticed the scar-faced man's sudden movent.
Looking at the strong montum caused by the scar-faced man's sword, he gritted his teeth, his spiritual power surging as flas began to spiral around him, forming an intense barrier of heat and fire.
"Wall of Flas!" Korrin roared, thrusting his hands forward. A towering inferno erupted between him and the incoming attack, engulfing the scar-faced man in a swirling blaze.
The scar-faced man didn't falter. He charged straight into the wall of fire, his heavy sword leading the way.
The crackling energy surrounding the blade clashed against the intense heat, creating a shockwave that pushed back even the nearby fire mages.
Ram, watching the intense exchange, activated his Spiritual Eye to assess the scar-faced man's attributes. A translucent panel appeared before him:
[Na: Graal Fenrick]
[Race: Human]
Continue your adventure with My Virtual Library Empire
[Profession: Tier 4 Swordsman]
[Physique: 174.5]
[Spirit: 132.9]
[Skills: Basic Swordsmanship (Mastered), Heavy Strike, Piercing Thrust, Armor Breaker]
[Crushing Blow]: A devastating sword strike that focuses the user's strength into a single point, capable of shattering defenses and stuns the target upon impact.
[Energy Rend]: A slash infused with spiritual energy, creates a shockwave that travels toward the target.
[Unyielding Aura]: Temporarily increases resistance to all forms of damage while enhancing attack speed and power.
[Spiritual Blade Infusion]: Temporarily coats the sword with spiritual energy, enhancing cutting power and range.
[Overdrive Strike]: Channels all stored energy into a single, overwhelming attack, but leaves the user temporarily weakened after execution.]
Ram's eyes narrowed as he read the information. "This guy seems more troubleso than Korrin, with a balanced physique and spirit attributes and powerful skills beyond Korrin's level. Those last two skills... they'll be trouble."
As he erged from the flas, he grinned wickedly. "Is that all you've got, mage?" With a roar, he swung his sword again in a powerful arc, the blade slicing through the remnants of the Wall of Flas.
Korrin jumped back, narrowly avoiding the strike.
Although Graal tried to cover up, the heat from his flas had taken its toll on him, causing him so damage.
However, there was a huge attribute difference and a level difference between them, giving him a huge advantage but he still couldn't figure out why this group of fire mages were so strong.
When Graal checked before, he clearly felt that all of the cloaked n were just Tier 3, but when his subordinates fought with the fire mages, he clearly felt whether it was their spiritual power intensity or the physical attributes were all topnotch at the sa level.
He even doubted whether the guys in cloaks were also using the Spiritual Power Amplifiers, but after finding Ram's earlier surprised expression, he concluded that they weren't.
And the only explanation he can co up with is that it's their true strength, "but how can there be such a powerful group?"
"Where did they co from? Why are they helping that brat and following his orders?" It was due to this reason, and after watching Korrin's earlier attack, he took action himself.
Trying to eliminate Korrin as soon as possible to minimize their losses. In addition to Korrin, he also felt a slight threat from another clocked man who was dealing with the escaped gang mbers.
"Damn it, this guy's tougher than I thought," Korrin muttered under his breath as he escaped from the scar-faced man's attack.
Although his attributes are lower than the opponent's, he had an additional 100% damage increase from his Half Drow Bloodline, an additional attribute increase from [Species Evolution Master] together with the additional increase of Molten Core pepper.
Even so, all he could do was just hold the opponent from attacking other Half Drows.
anwhile, the Fire Mages continued their assault, raining down fire spells on the advancing gang mbers, while trying their best to block the incoming attacks using their defensive spells and wands.
One of the Fire Mages was caught off guard as a gang mber lunged at him with a spear.
The spear's tip glowed faintly with spiritual power, and when it connected, the mage was sent sprawling, the fire shield around shattering like glass.
He groaned in pain, he grasped his side, narrowly missing the vital organs. Quickly, another mage rushed to his aid, summoning a wave of flas to force the attacker back.
From the rear, Ram observed everything carefully. His calm expression didn't waver, but his mind raced with various thoughts.
"The armor isn't invincible and seems to consu large amounts of energy. Their movents slow down slightly when the energy pulses. There's a weakness..."
