It’s so hot with my long hair sticking to my shoulders.”
“I lost control last night and forgot about your first day of school today.
There are quite a few hickey marks on the back of your neck from last night,” He Teng explained seriously.
Upon hearing this, Zhilan’s already pink face turned completely red!
She nodded and then turned on the faucet, using the act of washing her face to cover up her embarrassnt.
After so thought, Zhilan added, “Perhaps I should cut my hair short.
The sumrs in the capital are even hotter than in our county.”
“No,” He Teng decisively commanded, not giving Zhilan any chance to argue.
Zhilan pouted and succumbed, although she didn’t understand why He Teng was so adamant about not allowing her to cut her hair short.
By the ti the two of them had packed up and left the hotel, it was already half past twelve.
After a casual lunch at a nearby restaurant, they headed for Capital University.
Capital University is not located in the city center of the capital, so when they arrived at the gate of the university after lunch, it was already mid-afternoon.
There were many freshn like Zhilan carrying large woven bags at the entrance of Capital University.
Upon entering the campus, Zhilan felt incredibly relaxed.
The agitation caused by the hot weather vanished, and she found every view in the university particularly pleasing to the eye.
“Wait for in the shade over there.
I’ll go register for you and then take you to your dorm.” He Teng dispatched Zhilan to a shady spot three ters away, quickly taking the enrollnt materials from her and heading off to a faraway line.
There was already a girl sitting in the shade by the tree, fanning herself with a big leaf.
Seeing Zhilan, she enthusiastically greeted her.
“What a coincidence, you’re a freshman too?” Ya Dan, also a freshman at Capital University, started the conversation.
“My na is Ya Dan, what’s yours?”
Zhilan looked at Ya Dan, unsure where her comnt of ‘such a coincidence’ had co from.
“Don’t you rember ?
We stayed in the sa hotel last night!
You were on the third floor, and I was on the second.
We t at the hotel entrance!” Ya Dan explained.
Zhilan gave a sowhat embarrassed smile, as she hadn’t noticed Ya Dan in the sa hotel.
“My na is Zhilan, I’m in the departnt of Foreign Languages.
What about you?”
“Chinese Departnt!” Ya Dan replied with a genuine smile, moving closer to Zhilan as she spoke.
She helped Zhilan move her stuff to one side before asking, “Who is the man who brought you here to register?”
Without waiting for Zhilan’s response, Ya Dan continued guessing, “I bet he’s not your brother, hahah~ Is he your husband?”
Of course, Ya Dan wasn’t psychic.
Her guess was based on the fact that the two had stayed in the sa hotel room the previous night, and they didn’t resemble siblings at all.
So, she figured he must be Zhilan’s husband.
“Yes,” Zhilan confird, smiling softly without adding any further comnt.
When Ya Dan heard Zhilan confirm it, her excitent increased and her smile deepened, “The fifth person in line in front of your husband… that’s my husband!
He brought here too!”
