He Da was in the kitchen, and for this lunch, everyone ate to their heart’s content, with each person wishing they had more mouths to taste his food.
In the past, when He Da and Lin Deng’s business hadn’t grown, He Da would cook every day. At that ti, He Da was single and didn’t have Chen Ning as his fiancée yet, so everyone often enjoyed his cooking.
But now it’s different. He Da and Lin Deng have beco busy big bosses, and He Da also has Chen Ning, who can shoo people away, so it’s rare for everyone to gather and enjoy He Da’s culinary skills like today.
Watching He Da and Chen Ning being so lovey-dovey made Qi Chengnan and Chen Yun a bit envious.
They sighed, "Should we learn from He Da? It seems having cooking skills makes it easier to find a wife. Look at He Da, he just spoiled Chen Ning’s taste buds, and now she’s serious about Chef He. Do you think if I learn to cook, I can find a perfect wife?"

With that, Chen Yun and Qi Chengnan started bickering, punching each other immaturely, luckily the place was big enough for them to fool around.
After lunch, everyone considered that Lin Deng had just been discharged and needed rest, so after sitting for a bit, they left his place one by one.
After being ho alone for a while, Lin Deng called the company’s driver to take him to the won’s prison. Since the last ti he saw Ye Zi, Lin Deng had been calm for a long ti, and he started missing Ye Zi.
"You seem thinner." Lin Deng’s first words upon seeing Ye Zi were not out of politeness or to fill the silence, but because he genuinely thought Ye Zi looked thinner.
"It’s good to be thinner. I’ve always wanted to lose weight but never succeeded." Ye Zi smiled and shifted the topic away from herself, "Have you been discharged?"
"Yeah." Lin Deng nodded, "Is it because you don’t feel comfortable inside? Is it the food or the living conditions? If it’s the food, I’ll arrange special als and snacks for you. If it’s the living situation, I’ll have them change your room."
"The food and living conditions are good." Ye Zi answered simply, "How about you? How’s your recovery going? What did the doctor say?"
"Recovering well." After a pause, Lin Deng asked, "If everything is good, why have you lost weight?"
The two of them desperately wanted to ask about each other more but were reluctant to talk about themselves. One would ask a question, shift it away, and the other would pick it up and shift it back.
It was barely concealed, and their conversation shifted awkwardly.
Until Ye Zi stopped answering, suddenly lowering her head in silence, no longer looking at Lin Deng.
"What’s wrong, Ye Zi? If sothing’s not right or soone’s giving you a hard ti, you must tell ." Seeing Ye Zi with her head down, seemingly crying, Lin Deng got a bit anxious, "Whoever’s giving you trouble, I’ll stand up for you. In one year and three months, you’ll be out."
