After thanking the doctor, Ding Jinshi’s father realized he had been worrying so much that he was drenched in cold sweat.

"Thank heavens, Jinshi and the children are finally safe!" Ding Jinshi’s stepmother also breathed a genuine sigh of relief. Although not her biological daughter, she had watched her grow up and their relationship had llowed over recent years. Ding Jinshi cherished the son she gave birth to, and Ding Jinshi’s stepmother’s concern for her was sincere.

"I’ll have the driver take you ho first; there’s Baobei at ho, and the son needs your care. I’ll handle so matters here and return later. By tomorrow morning, Ding Long should also be back." Ding Jinshi’s father reassured his wife with a few words, arranged for the driver to take her ho, and then directly called Chen Yun, later making a trip to the police station. Afterward, he took his people straight to Ding Jinshi and Ding Long’s house.

When everyone arrived, apart from the servants left behind, there was no one there. With a stern face, Ding Jinshi’s father took the people directly to the large courtyard. In the dead of night, a group stord into Ding Long’s parents’ ho, allowing the police to take both in-laws away.

"In-law, what is this? What’s this all about?" Ding Long’s father was dumbfounded, even forgetting to struggle. "In-law, today’s events are all a misunderstanding."

"Shut up! A misunderstanding? Is that what you call a misunderstanding?" Ding Jinshi’s father punched Ding Long’s father in the face. "You intentionally hard my pregnant daughter, nearly costing her and her unborn children their lives. My daughter is fighting for her life in the hospital while you, the culprits, can sleep peacefully at ho? You don’t even care to visit the hospital!"

Upon hearing the accusation of intentional harm, Ding Long’s father imdiately argued with the police.

Ding Jinshi’s father laughed coldly, "Not to ntion that all the Ding Family’s servants witnessed your actions, do you think you can escape if I want you inside? When Jinshi gave birth to Baobei, you ignored it; out of consideration for Ding Long, I endured it without holding you accountable. What? You think my daughter Ding Jinshi is easy to bully, that she doesn’t have any family to stand by her while you squash and mold her as you please?"

He paused, curling his lips into a disdainful smile, "Oh, I heard from Xi Ma that you consulted Mr. Fortune Teller, who predicted that Jinshi was carrying two daughters? Since you trust this fortune teller so much, why didn’t you have him predict whether you’d spend a life incarcerated? Oh, by the way, let tell you, Jinshi barely survived and gave birth. The doctor said it’s a pair of healthy boys. I wonder, will Ding Long still acknowledge you as his cruel and heartless parents? I’m curious, will you ever get to see the grandsons you’ve been so obsessed with in this lifeti?"

After speaking, Ding Jinshi’s father signaled to the people with him, and Chen Yun’s n dragged them away rcilessly.

By dawn, everyone in the courtyard was aware of the news. Ding Long’s parents were taken away by the police for allegedly intentionally harming their daughter-in-law. The previous night, Ding Jinshi, hard by her in-laws, brushed past the Ghost Gate and remains unconscious. Fortunately, the two children inside her were born unscathed; they are twin sons.

The plane landed, and Ding Long rushed to the hospital without stopping. The first person he went to see was not his newborn sons, but his wife, lying pale as snow, through the ICU glass.

His eyes were terrifyingly bloodshot.
