When Ding Long got ho, Ding Jinshi had already been there for a while, lying on the couch and sighing incessantly. When she saw Ding Long walk in, she glanced towards the door and complained, "Why are you just getting back? What could you possibly have to talk about with that lunatic Gu En for so long? "Have you fallen into a money pit? Aren’t there fruits at ho?" Ding Long found it quite amusing, sat down beside her, rubbed her head, and then handed Ding Jinshi the fruit on the coffee table, asking, "Does Gu En co to see you often?"
Ding Jinshi took the fruit plate and started eating grapes. Upon hearing his question, she shook her head and replied, "After the wedding feast, she ca to my workplace once, but I didn’t go to see her. She’s a total joke. Before the wedding feast, she ca to saying she hoped I would get back together with Lan Li, and she’d help because she couldn’t stand Lan Li’s current girlfriend. Oh, right, she told today that Lan Li is getting engaged."
"What? Do you feel bad hearing that Lan Li is getting engaged?" Ding Long asked in a half-joking tone.
As expected, Ding Jinshi rolled her eyes and continued eating grapes with a smacking sound.
Ding Long already knew about Lan Li’s engagent. He heard about it from so people in the compound during the new year. He worried that Ding Jinshi would find out and it would affect her mood during the holidays, so he took her on a trip to the south to avoid anything related to Lan Li, and to avoid his own family issues, which were beyond reconciliation.
"Whether he’s getting engaged or married is none of my business." After a while, Ding Jinshi finally spoke up and then sat up straight, looking seriously at Ding Long. Although not explicitly said, Ding Jinshi was truly content with her current life.
Ding Long’s pampering left her with not a single complaint about him. Ding Long was like the perfect partner, always considering and arranging everything for her beforehand.
Of course, Ding Jinshi secretly wished he could generously pay off her debts.
Ding Jinshi’s indifferent expression greatly pleased Ding Long. He curled his lips into a smile, nodded, and got up to head to the kitchen to cook. Before leaving, he reminded his "little wife" not to eat too much fruit before the al, and snatched a grape from her hand to pop into his mouth.

"How can you enjoy these when they’re so sour? Has a dog swallowed your taste buds?" Ding Long asked.
"Really? I think they’re quite good. I’ve been liking stronger flavors lately!" Ding Jinshi found Ding Long’s disgusted expression particularly delightful, peeled another grape, and offered it to Ding Long, "Co on, eat more fruit—it’s good for you!"
"You can have them all to yourself." Ding Long was forced to swallow another grape but didn’t say anything, imdiately walking away.
He assud Ding Jinshi was just playing a prank, so he didn’t think much of it. But when he ca out after cooking and saw the entire plate of grapes empty, his face turned dark.
