Capítulo 1664: Chapter 1664: Because I Love You 94
“Do you really want to know? If I tell you, don’t go saying I’m taking advantage of you again,” said Ding Jinshi.
“You go first,” Ding Long said with a slight curve of his lips.
Ding Jinshi lowered her head and took a bite of her fried egg. As she chewed, she seed to be contemplating whether to speak or not while staring at Ding Long. After swallowing the bite, she slowly opened her mouth and said, “I actually had a nightmare last night. I dreamt I married you and beca your wife, and then I dreamt we had a daughter together, and that dream scared awake.”
Ding Long’s expression changed instantly, but he quickly masked it.
“That’s what you call a nightmare? Marrying , becoming a family, having children—such a dream that others would kill for, and you dare to call it a nightmare!” Ding Long gritted his teeth, “Ding Jinshi, I have to say, a dream reflects one’s thoughts. If you had no interest in , you wouldn’t have such a dream for no reason. Ding Jinshi, you are indeed coveting my handsoness. You rogue! It’s bad enough that you take advantage of in reality, but you even do it in your dreams!”
After Ding Long spoke, he put on the expression of a little wife being harassed by a bully, his innocent and scared look was truly pitiful, making Ding Jinshi reflect for a mont whether she had done sothing utterly wrong to him.
“Oh please! Who’s coveting your handsoness? It might be a dream for others, but for , it’s a nightmare! You’re a rascal, a stingy landlord. I’d have to be crazy to want to marry you.” Ding Jinshi quickly downed the porridge in her bowl and then stuck her tongue out at Ding Long before running off hurriedly, resigning herself to washing the sheets.
“Saying one thing but aning another,” Ding Long tossed four words at Ding Jinshi.
But when Ding Jinshi was out of sight, he sighed and helplessly curved his lips into a self-mocking smile.
On Monday, Ding Jinshi returned to work. Because of a high-profile engagent party, she had beco sowhat of a local celebrity in the office. Everyone knew that Ding Jinshi was the fiancée of Ding Long, the big boss, and that this big boss never had scandals with other won because he was deeply in love with his fiancée.
Ding Jinshi even saw two enlarged photos in the newspaper. One was a picture of her and Ding Long exchanging rings, where both were looking down at each other’s hands with great coordination, and the other was a photo of them kissing. At that ti, she had her eyes closed, while Ding Long was looking at her with open eyes. Due to the angle, only the side of Ding Long’s and her face was visible, but for so reason, Ding Jinshi felt that the photo genuinely depicted her and Ding Long as an incredibly loving couple.
“So, Jinshi, were you dazzled by how beautiful the photos of you and your fiancé were?” asked Colleague A.
“It’s not that exaggerated,” Ding Jinshi chuckled lightly, wary that her colleagues might continue dragging on the topic of her and Ding Long, so she quickly changed the subject.
Thinking about Ding Long, who had spent the entire day yesterday looking at her with an accusatory face as if it wrote, ‘I hate hypocritically denying won,’ and that woman, obviously referring to Ding Jinshi herself, the well-aning, innocent victim with no place to air her grievances.
