Ding Jinshi was directly shocked by Chen Shan’s bold action, "Pervert!" she cursed under her breath, then moved further away from Chen Shan. She knew that it wasn’t just the two of them like before, when they could sleep together and play without fear.
"I thought you’d be as open and enthusiastic as the people from M Country after going abroad. Not bad, you haven’t learned anything bad." Chen Shan chuckled, "Tell what you really think about Lan Li now. You’re back; do you want to rekindle your relationship with Lan Li?"
"Wanting and reality are opposites. I, Ding Jinshi, have my own pride. I can’t go begging him to take back, begging to reconcile with him. The fault in our relationship wasn’t mine; it was his." Ding Jinshi shook her head, downed the glass of beer in her hand in one go, the chilled beer flowing through her whole body, cooling her to the bone, "After all these years, the only one who couldn’t let go is the foolish . Seeing him tonight, you see how calm and indifferent he is. So, I think I’ve been miserable for so many years, just like a fool."
After a pause, Ding Jinshi casually placed the empty glass on the table and leaned back on the sofa, "I hate him."
"Yeah, when Lan Li gets cold, it’s truly admirable." Chen Shan remarked, "Back then, he broke up with you so decisively, and when you et again after years, he’s so calm. Jinshi, don’t love Lan Li anymore. A man like that, loving him will only hurt yourself, no one can really understand what’s on his mind. How much ti does a woman have to waste? You’ve already spent your most passionate years on him, and now, as you see, that’s all he is to you. So, you have to force yourself to let go. Jinshi, go love soone else, love soone who deserves your love, soone who wouldn’t abandon you even if the world falls apart, love soone courageous enough to love you. My dear Jinshi deserves to be cherished by a man a thousand tis better than Lan Li."
Ding Jinshi didn’t respond, she reached for the bottle of wine, but missed it. As she was about to get up and open another bottle, she suddenly looked up towards Ding Long’s direction, unsure if it was a coincidence, he was staring at her, likely aware of her intention to get up, so he frowned at her, with a look that clearly said, no.
Ding Jinshi awkwardly smiled and sat back down; forget it, she’s still living under soone else’s roof, better not drink too much and risk Ding Long kicking her out of his house in anger.
Everyone continued to party in the private room until midnight, and it was only due to Zhou Chenyue and Zhou Hongjin’s presence that they didn’t keep going all night.
Everyone knew Ding Jinshi was currently living with Ding Long, so naturally, Ding Long and Ding Jinshi left together, while the rest went their separate ways.
Late sumr nights in the capital are arguably the most pleasant ti of day; with the car windows down, the speed up, wind blowing on the face, especially cool.
By the ti they got ho, it was already one in the morning. Ding Jinshi glanced at Ding Long, who hadn’t said a word to her since they left the nightclub, feeling a bit suspicious, "I only drank the one glass you allowed tonight, didn’t sneak any more."
"I know, it’s late, go take a bath and get so rest." Ding Long nodded, his expression was sowhat bland, lacking the charming smile from the day. He had probably had quite a bit to drink that night; despite sobering up with the drive ho, he still felt stifled upon entering the house.
