Her roommate, who had t Ding Long more than half a year ago, recognized him and directly led him to Ding Jinshi’s dormitory door before leaving.
Ding Long stood quietly by the door for a while, listening to the sounds inside. It was now a little past ten in the morning here, and Ding Jinshi’s roommate had said she hadn’t gone out that morning, yet the room was very quiet.
After listening for a while, Ding Long finally raised his hand to knock on the door. He glanced at the cold dicine in his hand, feeling sowhat worried inside.
After a few seconds of knocking, Ding Long finally heard soone respond from inside. Then ca the dull sound of slippers on the floor, gradually becoming clearer.
For the past few days, Ding Long had been unable to shake off his worries. That day, he had urged Ding Jinshi over the phone to see a doctor, but from her tone, it was clear she was just placating him. He knew her character, and since she hadn’t honestly agreed, she surely wasn’t planning on doing it.
Indeed, as Ding Long had said, Ding Jinshi had stayed in the dormitory for several days without going out. When the door was knocked, she was lying in bed with a book, a bundle of tissues beside her. Hearing the door, she thought it was her roommate. This school’s dormitories were not like in most schools back ho, where many people lived in one room. Here, the dorms were more like suites. They lived in one dormitory, but everyone had their own room and their own space.
The heater was on in the room. Since Ding Jinshi hadn’t gone out, she had been wearing only a thin-strapped silk nightgown for the past few days. The fine straps held together a loose piece of silk, and as her well-developed chest moved under the silken fabric when she got out of bed to open the door, it was faintly visible.
Ding Jinshi hadn’t expected Ding Long, who should have been celebrating the New Year at ho, to be the one knocking at the door. Wearing cotton slippers, she went to open the door, her reactions a bit slow from her dizziness. Ding Long initially thought that Ding Jinshi’s reaction to seeing him was too indifferent. She just turned around and went back inside, like it was no surprise at all. He rembered that her father hadn’t ntioned anything to her. After a mont, seeing Ding Jinshi’s reaction, he realized this girl was just slow on the uptake.
