Because there were guests at ho, even though Ding Jinshi knew Ding Long wouldn’t be coming back, she didn’t imdiately take her daughter back. Instead, when the guests hadn’t left, she took her daughter back to the room on the pretext that her daughter needed to rest early.

"I’m going to pick them up," Ding Long replied without turning back, "I won’t be eating at ho. You won’t wait for anyway. I might stay at the Ding Family tonight."
"Hey, hey, hey! Co back here!" Ding Mother chased after him, but Ding Long got in the car and drove off, leaving her calls useless.
Ding Jinshi had taken her daughter out to et with Zhou Chenyue and Chen Shan. Staying at the old house of the Ding Family during the New Year had stifled them, so when Ding Jinshi received Chen Shan’s call, she took her daughter out.
The four of them were playing at Chen Shan’s house. When it was alti, Chen Shan suggested eating out since none of the three won in the house were skilled in cooking.
