“But he never called .” Jiang Biyun suddenly burst into tears, “I went abroad for so long, you all had my contact information, yet he never called . Maybe his protest wasn’t about the relationship we were forced to end, but about his own life being controlled by his parents.”
“Lin Deng never called you?” He Zhilan was astonished, “That can’t be. When Lin Deng asked for your number, he was so excited. I was still waiting for him to bring you back from abroad to see .”
He Teng had been standing beside He Zhilan the whole ti. Hearing this, he chid in, “Lin Deng told he did call Jiang Biyun, but a man answered. From the way Lin Deng described the situation, it seed like the man said sothing to him.”
Upon hearing that, He Zhilan quickly relayed He Teng’s words to Jiang Biyun and said, “Biyun, could it be that your boyfriend cut off all contact between you and us friends back ho?”
“Why would he do that? He has no reason to.” Jiang Biyun seed sowhat incredulous that Tang Xiao would do such a thing.
“Biyun, marriage is a lifeti thing. I don’t know how to advise you, so all I can say is don’t rush. Take your ti to think it over.” In truth, He Zhilan didn’t know how to persuade Jiang Biyun, so she changed the topic, “You should go to the airport to pick up Tang Xiao. I’ll wait for you at ho.”
Knowing that guests would be arriving later at ho, Father He and He Da discussed going out to buy so groceries. Seeing that it was about ti, they worried that if they left too late, they wouldn’t be able to get fresh produce. So, they took the shopping basket and told He Teng and He Zhilan before heading out.
It was only then that He Zhilan snapped back to reality.
“Brother, do you think it’s really Tang Xiao who’s preventing Jiang Biyun from contacting us? That’s why Chen Xiting’s calls to Jiang Biyun always go unanswered.” After saying this, He Zhilan wore a slightly angry expression, “How can this man be like this! “We haven’t even t him yet. We can’t judge soone based solely on our suspicions.” So He Teng didn’t provide any response, “Thinking too much now is useless. Won’t Jiang Biyun bring him back later for you to see?”
At the airport, when Jiang Biyun arrived, Tang Xiao had already been waiting there for a while. Tang Xiao got Jiang Biyun’s hotel phone number from the Jiang Family and thus managed to contact her. He habitually wore his dark shirt, trousers, and leather shoes, coupled with his striking looks, which made him particularly noticeable at the airport.
As soon as he saw Jiang Biyun, he walked up and hugged her, “Your eyes are red. Did I wake you up too early this morning, so you got upset and cried?”
Jiang Biyun shook her head repeatedly, “No. By the way, I want to take you to et a very good friend of mine first.”
“Sure.” Tang Xiao smiled, seemingly very happy about Jiang Biyun introducing him to her good friend.
After they got into the taxi, Jiang Biyun gave the driver the address. She and Tang Xiao sat on the back seat, one on each side. Tang Xiao held her hand without letting go, while Jiang Biyun’s mind was a ss, with so words she wanted to say but couldn’t.
