Chapter 1333: Chapter 1333 Ding Long Surrenders 16
“Is it possibly a normal part of postpartum recovery?” Chen Yun, being single, didn’t understand much about these things. So, he suggested that He Teng go to the hospital and ask Bian Muhe, since Bian Muhe is at least a doctor and should know.
Seeing that there wasn’t anything else going on for the mont, He Teng left the police station and drove straight to the hospital.
In Bian Muhe’s office, a few people from Chen Yun’s departnt were talking to Bian Muhe. When they saw He Teng, they greeted him and, understanding that he had sothing to discuss with Dr. Bian, tactfully exited the office.
“Why are you here?” Bian Muhe asked as he stood up and poured a glass of water for He Teng.
“I ca to ask you sothing.” He Teng accepted the water but didn’t drink it, placing it back on the table, “Do won tend to sleep excessively like they did during pregnancy after giving birth?”
“Not true.” Even though he’s not an obstetrician, Bian Muhe had the basic knowledge, “In the first few days after delivery, the body is quite weak, so they might sleep longer than usual. Generally, in normal circumstances, a woman recovers in just two or three days post-delivery. Although they still can’t be up and about, their spirits usually rebound. Why, is Zhilan sleeping excessively?”
“Yeah.” He Teng nodded, “After falling asleep, she seems to have frequent nightmares and often wakes up sweaty.”
“She’s probably bottling up too much inside, feeling low. They say you dream about what’s on your mind, so perhaps she dreams about your child.” Bian Muhe sighed lightly and shook his head, “I’ll arrange for a specialist to contact you later and teach you so strategies. I need to visit Ding Jinshi now; would you like to co along?”
“I’ll co.” He Teng replied, following Bian Muhe out of the office, “How are Lin Deng and Ding Jinshi doing?”
“They say nothing is sadder than a heart gone dead. Perhaps it’s because she’s accepted her daughter’s departure, Ding Jinshi seems to be recovering physically and emotionally stable. Lin Deng, however, remains unchanged.” Bian Muhe shook his head, “Bian Xiulin has taken charge of arranging matters for Ding Jinshi’s daughter, and in three days, the funeral will proceed from Ding Mansion.”
The two entered Ding Jinshi’s hospital room, where Zhou Chenyue, Zhou Hongjin, and Chen Shan were present.
Seeing He Teng, Ding Jinshi proactively started a conversation, asking about He Teng’s son, “I know a bit about Zhilan’s premature birth, but if Xiulin hadn’t ntioned it last night, I wouldn’t have known about the incident with your child. When Xiulin asked yesterday, I was in a bad mood and feeling unwell, so my response was not very clear. When Baobei and I were kidnapped by Lan Song’s parents, although I didn’t see a child with them, I vaguely rember hearing them ntion sothing about a boy. Lan Song’s parents have gone insane with revenge and aren’t rational. You should investigate this further; maybe they did take your child.”
“We’ve already taken photos of Lan Song’s parents and are investigating at the hospital. If they were around the hospital in the days after the birth, then we can be sure they’re involved.” He Teng frowned, “You heard them ntion a boy? What did they say?”
“I just heard them ntion the word ‘boy.’ At the ti, they gave sleeping pills, so I wasn’t very clear-headed and didn’t catch much.” Ding Jinshi recalled her daughter’s suffering and said, “I hope your child wasn’t taken by them. Their thods of revenge are quite brutal.”
