Later on, Lin Deng would visit her every month or half a month, bringing her all kinds of delicious food, which made her appetite even better. When she moved to the army base, as long as she wanted to eat, there was never a shortage.

Over ti, her increased appetite stayed with her until now.

The elders in the village all said that having a healthy appetite is fortunate; the more she eats, the healthier the child will be. But after coming back from a prenatal checkup, the doctor told He Teng to control He Zhilan’s food intake to avoid the baby growing too large, making delivery difficult, so He Teng beca extrely concerned.

"Brother, give another half bowl, please~" He Zhilan held an empty bowl with a pitiful look, pushing the empty bowl towards He Teng, pointing at it, "No more rice."

"You’ve already had two bowls; that’s enough." He Teng directly took the empty bowl away.

"I haven’t had snacks these past two days, and you still don’t let eat enough! You’re stingy! You’re a tyrant! A dictator! I’m going to tell Dad you’re mistreating , not letting eat enough is one thing, but surely you can’t starve your child, right? I’m going to tell Dad you’re being a bully!" He Zhilan was truly about to go crazy; she really wanted to eat~

"It’s the doctor’s advice. If Dad knew, he’d persuade you too." He Teng didn’t even glance up as he collected the bowls and chopsticks, getting up to wash them in the kitchen. Seeing He Zhilan had gone silent, he found it odd and turned around, catching her sneaking so food with orchid-like fingers. He was amused on the spot, "Wife, stop eating. If the baby gets too chubby, you’ll have a hard ti."

Only then did He Zhilan reluctantly pull back her hand, sitting in her chair sulking, mumbling a few tis without looking at He Teng.

Of course, she knew He Teng was doing it for her own good, but sotis she really couldn’t control her temper. Being He Teng’s wife was so tough! Before, when she didn’t want to eat, he insisted. Now that she wants to eat, he refuses!

When He Teng finished washing dishes and ca out of the kitchen, he found his little wife still sitting in the sa spot, unmoving, clearly sulking.

These days, He Teng had completely grasped He Zhilan’s temper.

Initially, everyone said He Zhilan’s temper hadn’t worsened due to pregnancy. Honestly, it was because she had no one to vent her temper on. Now that He Teng was with her, she had soone to unleash it upon and started to show her temper.

Especially these past few days when she’s been deprived of snacks, she would be in a bad mood several tis a day, but her displeasure was solely directed at He Teng.

There was no other choice; after all, he was her husband! The baby in her belly was his. Who else could she vent to?

Nonetheless, He Zhilan was naturally a good-tempered person, so once He Teng understood her temper, she was quite easy to appease.

He walked over, embraced the unmoving little woman into his arms, and softly said, "Still angry? Once the baby is born, you can eat whatever you want and I won’t stop you. I don’t mind if the baby is chubby, just worried you’ll be the one to suffer during childbirth. You’re my only wife, and when there’s food, how can I not think of you?" After finishing his words, he lightly kissed He Zhilan’s lips, and upon hearing her faint hum, He Teng knew she was no longer upset.

It seems that won, especially pregnant ones, most want to hear sweet talk from their husbands and most want their husbands’ thoughtful care and affection.

Probably because as the months passed, the belly beca heavier, when the baby was eight and a half months, He Zhilan even needed He Teng’s help to turn over in bed at night. She had to maintain one sleeping position all night without moving, which was truly a painful experience for soone who wasn’t accustod to maintaining a good sleeping posture.
