"If anyone is giving us a bad na, it is you. You are the one that has failed to comply with the Alliance; you are the one that is getting the rest of us in trouble. However, everything will go back to normal if you just co back," sighed Pippa. I would like to say that I felt sorry for her, but as much as I seed to have developed emotions on whatever planet I was just on, they clearly left as soon as I had to deal with her.

"I don’t play nice, and I especially don’t play nice to others that want to put a collar on and tell what to do. Has the Alliance inford you of your true purpose?" I asked curiously, not exactly caring about her answer.

"My purpose is to hold the front line for the Alliance with the rest of the humans," answered Pippa, once again flipping back her hair. "That is my purpose."

I truly tried to hold back the chuckle that threatened to erupt, but it was next to impossible. "You really an to tell that the Galactic Alliance of Sentient Beings is so weak that ten humans and their ships are enough to keep all the baddies out?"

I an, I understood that she was young and that she probably didn’t have a lot of knowledge that ca with age and experience, but even she should be able to see through that bullshit. Right?

"We are stronger than anything that they have protecting them right now because we have AIs," explained Pippa. "I realize that you have never heard of the Great AI War, but it was sothing that happened. Now, our ships are the only ones with AI; that is why they need us so badly.

Okay. I was going to do my one good deed for the next decade right now and hoped that the little fool would listen to . "No, that is not why they need us," I said. "They need us because we are universal breeders," I continued with a brittle smile. I was really not impressed with that fact.

For the first ti since the call between us connected, there was silence on her end.

"What do you an?" she asked quietly.

"I an, that the reason why we were stolen from our ho and brought out here is because the Thuzirusians have discovered that we are the only species in the entire universe that can act as a universal breeder to any of the other species. Congratulations, Pippa. You have made a deal with the very Devil that is going to sell you to the highest bidder. Or bidders. I an, after you give birth, your purpose is done, and you can be sold to the next one that needs offspring."

She stared at for a minute before shaking her head. "No, not possible; that will never happen. We are an endangered species, according to the Alliance, and that will never happen. Besides, I have never heard of the Thuzirusians. You have probably made it all up. That’s right; you are a big fat liar. Yup, I shouldn’t believe a word that you say."

Great, now I broke her. Oh well, it wasn’t my job to make her see what was right in front of her face. My good deed was done.

"And being listed as an endangered species just ans that there is a limited number of us. And what happens in marketing when there is more demand than there is supply?" I could hear another alert, letting know that soone else was trying to get my attention.

I was never this popular before. I didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. But either way, I needed to wrap up my conversation with her. "All right, I am only going to say this one last ti, so please pay attention. I will not co to heel. I will not have anything to do with the Alliance, and anyone that tries to change that will find out just how strong the Sisalik made Jun Li."

I looked at the lens in the corner, and the video call between and the Birdbrain turned off. "All right, who is the next one?"

"The next one is our client that wants to arrange a eting in order to hand off the zmaj," said Jun Li, and one of the little bots ca rolling into the bridge with my rciless helt in its arms.

"What the hell is a zmaj?" I asked Jun Li before turning to the little bot. Patting it on the head, I give it my thanks before asking it to go grab one of the furs from the X94 craft. It spun around and quickly sped out of the room.

I grabbed my hair and threw it into a quick bun so that it wasn’t too obvious and put the helt and veil on. It wasn’t the exact sa outfit, but I needed sothing to hide my face and skin. The bot ca in with the white fur my guardian angel had given yesterday. I quickly wrapped it around my shoulders, wishing that I had a broach or sothing to keep the two ends together.

Apparently, the bot was much smarter than I was because it held up a beautiful, circular pin that I could use. The design on it was simply stunning, and I took a few minutes to study it. "Is this another passive weapon?" I asked Jun Li as I quickly placed it on my fur. I rubbed my fingers over it and hissed as sothing seed to have cut .

I stuck my finger in my mouth to stop the bleeding. Yeah, it was definitely a passive weapon. "Sorry, what did you say?" asked Jun Li.

"Nothing. Keep the lens up; I don’t want them to be able to see my legs or anything like that," I said as I took my finger out of my mouth and inspected it. There was a red dot on the pad, but that was all. I would have to be more careful in the future.

"Understood. Are you ready?" asked Jun Li.

Once again, sitting tall in the captain’s chair, I nodded my head sharply.

"What do you want?" I demanded as soon as the video feed was established. I was surprised to see two males on the other end, one of which I knew.
