I watched as a smaller ship appeared out of nowhere beside us. "That is them," said Jun Li, splitting the screen between the ’battle’ and Midnight’s ship. "They are asking to be able to land in one of the docking bays."

"Fine," I answered. "But let them know that they are to stay in their ship. Only Midnight is allowed onboard." I still wasn’t 100% certain that Midnight wouldn’t try to kill because of the physical change and bond that I had inadvertently pushed on him. It was best not to invite more trouble.

"He is asking to bring his first officer," ca Jun Li, relaying the ssage.

"Fine, but tell them to hurry their asses up. We are already behind our promised ti to show up, and I don’t want the other end to get twitchy," I said, studying the formations of the other ships. If it ca down to it, I knew that we could blow fifteen of them out of the water, but I didn’t want to lose the supplies on board.

If they were legitimate rchant ships, then their cargo holds would be worth a lot of money. And I was in need of money right about now.

A few minutes passed, and I heard the hydraulic hiss as the doors to the bridge opened. The sound was still able to cause to shudder, thinking about all the other tis I had heard that sound before the torture started.

"Hey, Sweetness," said Midnight as he ca to stand beside my chair. "How are you doing?"

"Fucking fantastic," I growled at him, giving him the side eye. "Just wondering how many people are just waiting to kill ."

"Well, let’s make that number less, shall we?" suggested Midnight before turning around and gesturing to the wolfman behind him. "This is Silver Is The Moon, my first officer and best friend."

I nodded my hello, not in the mood to be more polite at the mont. "Silver," I said, and he crossed his right hand across his chest and bowed.

"rciless," he greeted.

"Call i Xing," I said, waving my hand. I wasn’t sure if I had actually told Midnight my na or not. I thought I had, but he continued to call rciless anyway, so I figured he liked that na better.

Silver grunted and took a step back behind the other male. They exchange a brief look before turning their attention back to the situation in front of us.

"The fleet doesn’t look to be in too much distress," mused Silver, and I couldn’t hold back my bark of laughter.

"Right?" I said. That was the part that was causing the most amount of anger. If they were going to claim that they were in distress and I was ’legally’ bound to go help them, then they damn well should be on the verge of life and death.

"Are they going to live or die?" asked Midnight as he turned his attention to .

I scoffed at that question. "They are all going to die. I just want to get the supplies before they blow up... wait a minute... Jun Li!" I called out, a thought just coming to . "Yes, i Xing?" asked Jun Li, coming into the command bridge. Midnight straightened up and glared at the android.

"Can you hack into their systems?" I asked. I had no idea why I didn’t think of this before. Collapsing back into my chair, I smiled for the first ti since I had flown into this situation.

"I can," said Jun Li slowly as he went to sit down in his chair. "Give a second to see what I can do."

"Okay. And I want you to hack into all 22 ships," I added.

"Are you going to tell why?" he asked from the overhead speakers as his body started to frantically type away at his console.

"What did you do to the Sisalik the second you were freed," I asked with a smile. Taking in a deep breath, I slt sothing yummy. "Do you bring food?" I asked Midnight as soon as I realized that the sll was coming from him.

"We killed them," answered Jun Li with a smile of his own as he picked up the pace. His hands were practically a blur on the keyboard in front of him.

"I didn’t bring any food," said Midnight a few seconds later. "Why?"

"You sll good," I answered with a shrug of my shoulders before turning my attention back to the AI. "And just how did you manage to kill them?" I pressed, wanting him to understand my plan.

"By removing all the air from the ship, causing them to suffocate," smiled Jun Li. "You want to hack into their systems and turn off the air."

"Exactly," I answered with a smile of my own. "The best of all worlds. They die thinking that they are the oriole, and I still get my loot."

"And the Uugazts?" asked Midnight, cocking his head to the side and looking at .

"They made their beds; now they need to lie in them," I replied, completely unconcerned with the tens of thousands of deaths that I was calling for. As far as I was concerned, they should have factored this into their possibilities. However, I know that it would not have entered their mind for a second that I was not the helpless human they all know and love.

"I’m in," said Jun Li, practically bouncing in his seat. "Now to spread through all of the ships."

"Let know as soon as you have," I said, once again stretching my neck from side to side.

"Here, let help you with that," said Midnight as he ca up behind my chair and placed his giant hands on my shoulders. His hands practically spanned my upper chest, almost reaching to my breasts. Unfortunately for both of us, my uniform pretty much prevented him from being able to give a massage.

"After," I said, not willing to give up a free massage.

"After," he promised.

Yeah, we had a lot of stuff to hash out. But hopefully, it wouldn’t be all bad.
