Riverside.
Temporary Camp.
In the basent, Fang Xing neatly sorted and stored the bird at and feathers.
That Second Rank Demon Core, although a fine item, was of no use to him, and he couldn’t find an Alchemist to refine it into a Foundation Establishnt Pill, so it beca a re collectible.
However, this collectible was precious enough to warrant space in his storage bag.
Ever since acquiring the storage bag, Fang Xing had found moving much more convenient. Of course, due to the bag’s sensitive nature, he definitely wouldn’t take it to the Blue Star Federation, using it only around here.
And because both storage bags had limited capacity, he couldn’t fit all of the Second Rank Demon Beast at inside, so they were just tools to increase his carrying volu during a move.
"This place could be modified a bit to beco a permanent camp."
After depositing the spoils of war into the warehouse, Fang Xing looked around and felt fairly satisfied.
Compared to the market square, this place had little Spiritual Energy, hence it wouldn’t attract many Demon Beasts.
Not like at Qinglin Square, where even a short absence on his part caused the blood and flesh of a Second Rank Demon Beast to trigger a massive Demon Beast free-for-all!
Even on the third day, a new Second Rank Demon Beast appeared, seemingly coveting the territory of the Golden Feathered Vulture!
This made Fang Xing realize that he couldn’t stay in the market square any longer, prompting him to return to this original landing site.
"Now, even if I can kill a Second Rank Demon Beast with one strike, if a Top Grade Second Rank Demon Beast manages to claw at a few tis, I’d definitely suffer... And if I’m ambushed again, or face a more cautious Second Rank flying beast that doesn’t land, that would be troubleso..."
After the previous battle, Fang Xing had a clear understanding of his own strength.
He even had a vague comparison and concept of the Immortal Path’s cultivation system and the Martial Arts system of the Blue Star Federation.
"Realms are realms, combat power is combat power."
"Just discussing realms, the Federation Martial Arts, with First Realm skin and flesh, Second Realm Sinews and Bones... is equivalent to the Postnatal Martial Artists of this world, at best sowhat more Perfect."
"And Third Realm Rough Jade equates to the Innate Martial Artists of this world! Also comparable to early-stage Qi Cultivators..."
Although Cultivators looked down on Innate Martial Artists, they at least acknowledged that Innate Martial Artists had the power to threaten early-stage Qi Cultivators!
"Four Realms Martial Artists with courage and will, discussing solely realm, should be between late Qi Cultivation and Perfect Qi Cultivation... Fifth Realm Outer Realm, might be comparable to Foundation Establishnt? Then a Six Realms Martial Arts Golden Core, similar to a Core Formation real person of this world? At least the lifespans seem about the sa..."
Whether it’s the Martial Arts Golden Core of the Blue Star or the Core Formation real persons of this world, their lifespans seem to be around four to five hundred years.
But Fang Xing hadn’t reached that realm, so his speculations might not be accurate.
"Of course, that’s about realm, but combat power is sowhat disproportionate."
"At least a Second Realm martial artist from the Federation can learn A-grade Martial Arts, and after mastering the basics, can fight an Innate!"
"For a Third Realm Rough Jade, if they get their hands on an S-grade Martial Arts, an average mid to late Qi Cultivation practitioner must be careful not to be killed outright... There’s a slight possibility to threaten a Foundation Establishnt Cultivator."
"As for , a Four Realms Martial Artist, I’m beyond the normal standard, after all, few can cultivate so many Martial Arts to such a high degree at the Courage realm... So, back on the Blue Star, I could perhaps challenge so weaker Outer Realrs? Once Dragon Elephant Skill advances to the Master level, I’m at least equivalent to a Second Rank Body Refining Practitioner."
"As for Cultivators in this world with weak physiques, getting close to ans death! Even a powerful Second Rank Demon Beast could be killed by in a mont of carelessness..."
Fang Xing knew very well that humans had an advantage over Demon Beasts in that they used tools.
Therefore, to kill that Demon Bird, he would definitely use his Green Rainbow Sword, to ensure a clean and efficient kill.
Even when facing a powerful enemy, he would not hesitate to employ his Gunfighting Skill.
"If we’re talking pure combat power, there’s really no comparison... Otherwise, bring Zhong Yuxiu here, arm her with a Military cha, and she could run amok amongst those at the Foundation Establishnt Stage... yet she’s only at the Third Realm Rough Jade."
"Looking at this, the Martial Arts of the Blue Star Federation seem to be even more formidable than those of the Immortal Path of this world? At least they have higher burst potential and faster progress!"
Fang Xing began to ponder how to blend the strengths of both ways.
Or rather, to extract lessons from the Immortal Path civilization to create his own path of ’Immortal Martial.’
"But... my experience is still too limited."
"Qinglin Square is just a backwater in a backwater, and the Cultivators there can’t represent the full spectrum of practitioners."
"Maybe there are truly formidable Foundation Establishnt cultivators that can easily slay Second Rank Demon Beasts... if they wield so powerful Magic Treasures, they might even match the power of so low-ranking chas?"
Amongst Cultivators, there are indeed Magic Techniques that allow the lower-ranked to unleash higher-ranked power.
The most common are Talismans!
If a Qi Cultivator were to use a Second Rank Talisman, that would surely be considered unleashing Foundation Establishnt-level combat power.
This holds true for Talismans, even more so for Magic Artifacts and Arrays.
Especially Arrays!
They epitomized the collection of small contributions to overco the strong by the weak!
In Fang Xing’s opinion, Arrays were the strongest ans to enhance personal combat power amongst the hundred skills of cultivating immortality and could possibly rival the Federation’s lower-ranked cha.
For instance, if a Qi Cultivation Perfect Array Master operated a Second Rank Array, there was a possibility that they could trap Zhong Yuxiu in her cha.
After all, with Zhong Yuxiu’s current strength, she couldn’t handle a very powerful cha.
Of course, should Zhong Yuxiu change her profession to a Galaxy Fleet commander, just bringing a single battleship could at least require a Third Rank, or even Fourth Rank Array to block.
...
A month’s ti passed in a blink.
In the Great Wilderness, within a dense forest.
Bang bang!
Terrifying collision sounds rang out continuously, making the ground quake and trees topple.
Birds were startled into flight en masse, while nearby smaller animals fled in all directions, scattering to the winds.
Bang!
A dark shadow charged fiercely and slamd into Fang Xing, blasting him away like a cannonball.
Fang Xing’s body quickly retreated as if he had been hit head-on by a speeding train, snapping three ancient trees thick as a waist before slowly coming to a stop.
He patted his unscathed chest and looked at the Second Rank Demon Beast across from him, suddenly smiling, "Thrilling... Let’s go again!"
The Demon Beast was a crimson wild boar, standing over three ters tall, currently shooting out flas from its nostrils.
"Just had to use a spell, huh? Can’t handle playing rough!"
Fang Xing dashed forward and grabbed the boar’s hoof.
Then with a heave!
He lifted the huge Demon Boar like Hercules lifting a cauldron, hurling it hard towards a nearby hill!
Boom!
Amidst the Demon Boar’s snorting cries, a massive dent appeared in the hill, with rocks flying in all directions.
"Deserving of a Second Rank Demon Beast, even if it just advanced, it has quite the tough hide."
Fang Xing moved his shoulders and neck, giving a thumbs up.
During these days, he had been earnestly practicing martial arts, having grown tired of eating Demon Bird at.
Moreover, so martial skills required real combat to progress, prompting him to seek out opportunities for actual combat.
He avoided danger with drones and found this newly advanced Second Rank Demon Beast.
Its strength was almost equal to his, allowing him to fight without using the Green Rainbow Sword, relying solely on his physical defense and brute strength.
—Of course, Fang Xing admitted to himself, he was craving braised pork.
"Snort, snort!"
The crimson boar rolled around and got up, feeling quite helpless against this opponent.
It was just too tough!
No matter how it charged or even used its innate Demon Fire attack, they seed to have no effect.
On the other hand, just a few attacks from its adversary would injure it.
Now it shot out a great amount of black smoke from its nostrils, quickly enveloping the surroundings, obviously planning its escape.
Demon Beasts were quite clever; they wouldn’t desperately fight an opponent they couldn’t beat.
"Trying to leave? That’s a pity for such a worthy target."
Fang Xing sighed, slapped his storage bag, and the Green Rainbow Sword instantly turned into a streak of green light, landing in his palm.
With a swift move, he was already next to the Demon Boar. The sword beca a fierce green streak, exploding with power!
The sword light was like a dragon, enchantingly swift, piercing the neck of the Demon Boar with a fierce swipe!
A huge boar’s head soared into the air, blood gushing forth.
"Today we’ll have pork blood and intestines soup... let’s also prepare so pork dishes. The leg at of this boar is not bad, I can marinate it first..."
Fang Xing began dissecting the Second Rank Demon Beast, a hint of joy on his face.
"Has my strength progressed to the point where I can crush a low-grade Second Rank Demon Beast head-on?"
He knew his own affairs best.
The previous victory over the Golden Feathered Vulture was due to luck and the elent of surprise.
Had it taken the fight seriously from the beginning, he would’ve only had the option to flee.
But this Second Rank Demon Beast was different; it was a true kill, with no flukes!
Even if it were to happen ten more tis, the outco would surely be the sa.
"My strength has indeed progressed..."
Fang Xing glanced at his attribute bar and noticed his martial arts realm had changed:
[Na: Fang Xing]
[Age: 18]
[Profession: Martial Artist]
[Fourth Realm: Courage (57/200)]
...
"The cultivation of the Courage Realm should be related to the Mud Pill Palace... This data suggests that my Mud Pill Palace is now roughly a quarter filled with spiritual power..."
Combining this with the attribute panel, Fang Xing speculated on the cultivation of the Mud Pill Palace.
For a Martial Artist in the Courage Realm, Martial Arts Will is the most important!
Each ti a martial skill is cultivated to a master level, gaining enlightennt from it, it should greatly enhance the Mud Pill Palace and spiritual power, with many benefits!
"However... my birthday has passed without realizing..."
Looking at the increased age, Fang Xing couldn’t help but feel sentintal. Even according to Blue Star Federation’s laws, he was now of age.
"If I hadn’t transmigrated, the original Fang Xing clearly couldn’t have succeeded in the college entrance exams... Turning eighteen and finishing high school, I would have probably been conscripted into the military right away... into the most dangerous cannon fodder troops."
"Those from natural families could pull strings to join technical or logistics units, or even the Space Forces... but bio-humans definitely end up as front-line cannon fodder!"
Bio-humans, burdened with loans, have no choice in their military service, most likely ending up in Secret Realm Forces, facing the minions of Evil Gods, the kind that go into battle with knives!
Natural people, on the other hand, had it a bit better. Apart from logistics, most were probably assigned to the Space Forces, serving in space fortresses or the Galaxy Fleet. They might not encounter a major battle for years. Even if they did, many would operate safely from behind screens with relatively high safety.
Of course, if such Space Forces were defeated, there could be casualties on an organizational scale!
And so natural people, hoping to hone their martial paths or for other reasons, would willingly join the Secret Realm cannon fodder, fighting to the death with the minions of Evil Gods every single day!
Fang Xing was reflecting when his expression suddenly changed, turning to look at his storage bag.
Sweeping over it with his spiritual power, he saw a Mysterious Iron Token amongst the items, emitting a faint glow.
