"The prototypes of the simulated Aeons were created by Ruan i, Screwllum wrote the underlying logic, and with a little bit of scientific magic, we connected the virtual Aeons to the real Paths."

"And that's how the 'Aeon' of the Simulated Universe was born," Herta explained.

"Is this one the real deal?" Leon asked.

"Not real, but just like it."

As a rare and valuable partner, Herta was willing to answer so of his questions.

"Under the connection of the 'Paths,' the Aeon in the Simulated Universe is equivalent to a terminal. Its divinity and wisdom both co from the real Aeon."

"So there's no difference from the real one."

"So you guys still fabricated its appearance?"

If it were a real-ti projection, Leon didn't think Lan would be holding a bow.

"Yes, but that's not important."

Herta urged him to act quickly.

"Go on, Lan ca for you. Ask it about Fuli. You might get the answers you want!"

Both are "Aeons." Although they couldn't summon Fuli itself, Lan would have to do.

"Uh, talk to it?"

Leon recalled the ti the two of them had almost co to blows.

Lan might not even know. And if he talked to it, he was afraid it would be protective of its own and start an "Aeon" war right here in the Simulated Universe.

Lan looked at the bow slung over his shoulder.

It said nothing, as if it couldn't believe it would have passed on its own bow.

"Senior of the Simulated Universe, thank you for coming to see ."

Leon noticed its gaze and simply smiled.

"You gave this bow yourself, no need to worry."

"Although I did use a few little tricks at the beginning, you didn't take back this gift at the final mont. I believe I have truly earned the approval of The Hunt."

"The philosophy of eting violence with violence is undoubtedly my own—my path in life, and I will continue to walk it."

Lan did not reply.

From the mont it saw the hunter, it knew that was a choice it had made.

It was certain of its own judgnt.

So its appearance today was simply to see what kind of person its successor was.

Lan raised its longbow.

Then, it vanished, its speed too fast to follow!

From beginning to end, it never uttered a single word. But before leaving, it conveyed its stance to him.

Be bold, be confident, do what you believe is right. Walk the night road that no one else can, and it will bear all the consequences with you!

This was the final ssage Leon received.

Lan had absolute faith in its own judgnt, even this simulated version in the Simulated Universe.

"This is what I wanted to see!"

Herta declared like a bloodthirsty spectator.

"Unbelievable! An 'Aeon' actually resonated with you. For a higher-dinsional being to pay such close attention to a single person is simply unheard of!"

Leon had logged into the Simulated Universe as himself, not as a simulated "Aeon." In other words, he was just an "Emanator."

"Emanators" are products created casually by "Aeons," who are mostly indifferent to them.

Although Lan is relatively personable, it doesn't necessarily place much importance on its "Emanators." Do you rember how many pieces of bread you've eaten?

Logically, the status of an "Emanator" shouldn't make any waves in the Simulated Universe.

It was nothing compared to major events with special significance, like the Emperor War.

But Leon had clearly stirred up a tempest! Lan had shown up imdiately, as if drawn by his scent, and had once again acknowledged his philosophy!

If this weren't a false god in the Simulated Universe, this step in reality would have been the ceremony for an "Emanator"! He had not only gained approval in reality, but had gained it once more in the Simulated Universe.

Leon was truly a die-hard follower of "The Hunt." She could only say that when it ca to practicing the Path of "The Hunt," no one could surpass him!

"Wait, why are you so excited? Lan's appearance was useless. Weren't we trying to bait Fuli?"

Leon reminded her not to forget their objective.

"Don't rush. Let pull up its data. In a mont, you'd better say sothing to provoke it."

Herta's virtual avatar said, while her real self outside began to get busy.

"Sothing to provoke it?"

Leon thought for a mont, then shouted.

"Fuli, are you ready? I'm here to check your code!"

"?"

Herta typed out a question mark.

She thought calling Nous "talhead" was disrespectful enough, but she never expected to et a true master of the art!

A chill crept up his spine, a hazy mist veiled his eyes, and an imnse, intimidating pressure washed over him!

The mont the words left his mouth—

It floated in mid-air, looking down on him with oppressive, imperial authority. Herta hadn't even pulled up the data when Fuli, the Aeon of "Rembrance," appeared before him without any warning!

"Yo, we et again. This is the third ti, isn't it?"

Leon greeted it like an old friend.

Without a doubt, Fuli couldn't possibly have appeared because of what he said. The "Aeons" weren't that petty.

If Lan could sense the aura of "The Hunt" on him, there was no reason Fuli couldn't perceive the "Rembrance" it had left on him.

"You vanished before I had a chance to ask anything last ti. You have to give an answer this ti."

Leon said, looking at the glass face that had only the outline of a visage, with no facial features.

"Why exactly did you entrust March 7th to ?"

Leon asked point-blank, "Why did she lose her 'mories,' and why did you seal her in ice?"

Fuli said nothing.

Then again, all higher-dinsional beings like the "Aeons" were like this, preferring to act profound by staying silent.

"Fine, if you don't like words."

It was a rare chance to see Fuli again. Leon definitely wasn't going to let it go so easily; he had to get to the bottom of this.

"Then use your favorite thod, 'mories,' to reveal the whole truth to ."

Fuli remained silent.

This ti, however, it raised a hand, as if preparing to do as he said and reveal the whole truth to him through 'mories.'

As it slowly responded, Leon felt a chill on his face, the fine hairs on his skin standing on end.

"Hey, wait, sothing's not right!"

Herta noticed an anomaly in the data and quickly spoke up.

"There's a problem with both your data and Fuli's! You have to log out imdiately, or I can't guarantee your safety!"

Herta was one of the few ntally sound geniuses in the Genius Society. Anyone who had t other mbers of the Genius Society would think so.

Unlike the other geniuses, who were all flawed in one way or another, her unusually high moral standards led her to have much stricter requirents for her experints—at the very least, she had to ensure the test subject's safety.

If an experint was lost or failed, you could always do it a second ti. But if a person was lost, they were gone for good, with no chance of revival.
