"Who?"
"Oblivion. That is her codena."
Phantylia certainly hadn't lived for so long for nothing; she knew a great deal.
"A rather extre Emanator of Rembrance."
"I've heard she has, on many occasions, sorted her mories onto a wheel, deleted the aningless parts, and selected only the useful portions to construct her cognition."
"But deleting too much from the hardware often leads to a system short-circuit."
"Oblivion, true to her na, sotis even forgets her own identity as an 'Incinerator.'"
"Whenever this happens, she will once again wander the cosmos, experiencing the myriad facets of mortal life, and in the end, invariably set foot upon the path of an 'Incinerator' once more."
"This constant, arduous cultivation through experience has allowed her to travel farther down the Path of Rembrance than any ordinary mokeeper."
Phantylia relayed the intelligence she possessed.
"You certainly know a lot."
An ethereal female voice echoed out of thin air.
A chilling texture of Rembrance spread out with the voice, and the temperature of the entire space plumted to its lowest point in an instant!
Black Swan's heart leaped into her throat.
Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
She imdiately went on high alert, ready for battle, and began scouting her surroundings, only to find no trace of anyone in the inverted space.
A voice without a body.
Apart from the Rembrance actively released by Oblivion, she, as a mokeeper herself, could not detect any other related fluctuations.
"Damn, it's cold!"
Leon felt the temperature around him drop significantly and exclaid in surprise.
Whoa, a mysterious ice-releasing babe!
"Should we fight? This is the domain of Rembrance. If we really clash, you might not co out on top."
Black Swan's tone was filled with concern.
"Don't worry. I'm the one with the biggest cup size here."
Leon made the strongest declaration.
"And you should fall back, mokeeper."
He felt that the arrival of this "Oblivion" was perfectly tid.
Once he kicked her to death, there would be no more obstacles.
"Besides , another Galaxy Ranger has entered the Garden of Recollection."
Leon told her to retreat. "Go find him and rendezvous, let him know we're working together, and then just wait for to co back."
"Be careful."
Black Swan knew her limits. Without any hesitation, she vanished in the blink of an eye.
A battle between Emanators was not sothing on her level could participate in. If she stayed, the aftershocks of their clash alone would be more than she could handle.
Besides...
Black Swan thought of the longbow slung over Leon's shoulder.
If a real fight broke out, this Emanator of The Hunt wouldn't necessarily lose, even here on the ho turf of Rembrance.
"Have we t sowhere before, little bunny?"
Oblivion spoke once more.
The inverted space suddenly began to turn as if a chanism had been triggered, and Leon and his follower arrived in a strange new world.
Leon cast his gaze straight ahead.
There sat a throne forged from frost and ice.
"To know so much about ... you're not just a peculiar-looking Heliobus. It seems your origins are anything but simple."
On the throne, a girl whose body was more than half-covered in ice-blue crystals—clearly showing an intention to move closer to Fuli, and who could hardly be called human anymore—sat lazily.
"This little thing has quite a unique look."
Leon could tell she wasn't human with a single glance.
"Are you a Heavenly General of The Hunt?"
Oblivion rested her right elbow on the armrest, her right fist propping up her cheek. A playful smile hung on her lips, giving her the air of a decadent monarch.
"Or an Emanator of the Rangers?"
Oblivion t his gaze directly.
"That depends on your next answer."
As Leon spoke, he took Vanquisher from his shoulder and aid it at her.
"The Holstein Great Silence. Was that you?"
"Yes." Oblivion nodded.
"Then this will be simple."
Leon drew back the bowstring, and a murderous aura erupted from him!
He didn't ask her why she did it.
Because that was the most pointless approach and didn't suit his personality.
He couldn't be bothered to listen to her, and she didn't deserve to speak.
With that inhuman, ghost-like appearance, it was clear she was already lost in her own art, unable to extricate herself.
There was nothing to say. For people like her, there was only one solution: kill!
"It seems you're an Emanator of the Rangers."
Oblivion understood what he ant.
"But it's a pity. Here, I alone am king!"
Oblivion rose from her throne, raised a hand to the sky, and then slamd it down.
Crash!
From all four cardinal directions, rectangular panes of pure, crystal-clear moria sealed Leon in without a single gap, their edges pressed tightly together.
It directly bound his movents, trapping both him and his arrow!
"You will beco a mokeeper too, Ranger."
Oblivion wouldn't kill him; he was a gift that had walked right up to her door.
Pathstriders of Rembrance master all manner of spiritual techniques.
After extracting his original mories, she would use the hypnotic and cognition-altering abilities of Rembrance to convert him into a mber of the Garden of Recollection.
As long as nothing unexpected happened—for example, if his power crushed hers or his will was firm enough—then this outco was set in stone.
"About my affairs... will you tell yourself, or shall I take your mories personally?"
Oblivion shot a sideways glance at Phantylia.
"You've gotten bold. The old you would never have dared to speak to like that," Phantylia sneered.
Oblivion frowned.
Hearing the tone of this Heliobus, it seed she was very familiar with her.
"...Phantylia?"
An absurd possibility surfaced in her mind. "Phantylia?" Oblivion said, uncertain.
"You've still got a sharp eye."
"How did you end up in this ghostly state?"
Before she beca an Emanator, in order to retrieve the mories of a certain planet, she had once joined forces with a Lord Ravager who intended to bring Destruction there.
The one leading the army at the ti was Phantylia.
Her aesthetics of destruction aligned quite well with her own, and even after that, the two had engaged in many deep exchanges.
"You'll soon find out why I've ended up like this. All I can say is that you've truly ssed with the wrong person this ti."
Loyalty prevented Phantylia from saying anything to slander Leon, so she could only speak in a tone of soone enjoying the show.
"What do you an?"
Oblivion demanded she speak more clearly.
BANG!
Before she could press for an answer, suddenly, the defensive barrier made of pure moria collapsed with a deafening crash, and the vengeance of The Hunt consud everything!
"You know what I hate most?"
"What I hate most in my life is when people use their crappy illusions to tarnish my real stats!"
Leon, who had broken out with sheer stats after being trapped for less than ten seconds, took a deep breath. The light shimring on Vanquisher seed to reflect his fury.
"The last person who dared to do that, I spared her life because she still had so residual value."
Leon raised his bow once again.
"But it's a pity. You have no value to whatsoever!"
This ti, the arrow coalescing on Vanquisher was wreathed in roaring flas!
In that instant, Oblivion suddenly understood what Phantylia had ant.
