This fight would be the showdown of the two Super-High Risk Psyker Abilities, the Dinsion Empyrean and the Holy Judgent of God. Both of them were fairly powerful, and their Psyker Abilities were exceedingly dangerous to use normally.
In fact, it wasn't that hard for Arcturus to figure out what her Super-High Risk Psyker Ability was because, as the direct mber of the House Luxford, it was rather common knowledge that the House Luxford had Innate Psyker Ability.
When it ca to the descendants of the Psyker, they could also inherit the Psyker Ability of their ancestors, and the chance that the child would inherit the Psyker Ability of its parents was actually very high.
The House Luxford was one such Psyker Lineage that had inheritable Psyker Ability...
In fact, they were the sole Bloodline Lineage Aristocracti Hosue that had Super-High Risk Psyker Ability as their Innate Psyker Ability. Though not many of their mbers awakened the Holy Judgent of God, most of them managed to awaken only the weakened version of the original ability nad Judgnt.
The basic prerequisite of the Psyker Ability was to Analyze the opponent's attacks and then essentially Judge their worth based on the worth of the host.
If the Judgent was negative, the user could entirely destroy the ability, and if the Judgent was positive, then the attack would pass, but due to the analysis itself, the host could use the information about the attack to break it apart rather easily.
Even the Judge Psyker Ability was graded as High-Level Psyker Ability due to its versatility and usage, though the greatest weakness of the Judge Psyker Ability was that it lacked offensive prowess almost entirely.
It was essentially an overpowered auxiliary ability that was very powerful in the right hands and needed to be supplented with another set of combat abilities and skills so the user would be able to showcase its true worth.
And then there was the Holy Judgnt of God, which was the original true ability that belonged to the ancestor and founder of the House Luxford. It was in the essence the sa thing like the Judgnt Psyker Ability with several differences.
One of the most notable ones is that if the Concept of Judgnt was negative, then the user didn't have just the option of destroying the attack, but at the sa ti, they were able to "hijack" the control of their opponent's power that was judged and use it against their creator.
At the sa ti, when it ca to the positive Judgents, they were able to weaken the attacks and everything related to them drastically. And apparently, the Holy Judgent of God also gave the user so sort of passive resistance towards the Psionic Energy to a ridiculous degree.
Even compared to so species that had innate resistance towards the Psionic Energies, the one that was provided by the Super-High Risk Psyker Ability, the Holy Judgnt of God was standing at the top of the pyramid.
It wasn't classified as the Super-High Risk Psyker Ability for nothing, and it was clear that the House Luxford attained all of its power thanks to this ability. Right now, there are no more than four publically known people with the Holy Judgent of God within the House of Luxford.
Sotis, he marveled how much public information one could find about anyone at the Imperial NetSpehere or the Extranet if they searched even a bit. But at the sa ti, it was rather understandable because the Holy Judgent of God was a very famous Psyker Ability across the entire Desolate Cosmic Region, in fact. Find adventures at m_v l|e-
There were not many such excellent and powerful Psyker Abilities in the surrounding hundred galaxies or so.
Still, even when it cos to the Holy Judgent of God, the user needs to be very skilled at the Psionic Arts or at the other form of combat because even though the Holy Judgent of God was fairly powerful, it wasn't sothing that had trendously high combat prowess and destructive powers on its own.
Once again, it was just boosted auxiliary and supportive ability.
He also managed to find that the mbers of the House Luxford were excellent in the Psionic Arts like anyone else, and they were complenting the existence of the Judgent Psyker Ability and the Holy Judgent of God Super-High Risk Psyker Ability.
That wasn't really good for him because it was the area where he was faltering the most, and he knew that if he was fighting skilled Psionics, it would be troubleso as he was primarily the close-quarter combatant who preferred to deal with his enemies by his sword.
Soon enough, each of them was prepared for the combat, and to his surprise, he noticed that Jeniael was using the sword as her weapon of choice.
This wasn't sothing that he had expected because, according to the information on the Imperial NetSpere over the topic of the House Luxford, it was noted that they were all excelling at the Psionics and combining it with the Judgtn or the Holy Judgent of God.
Not to ntion, the skilled Psykers with the Judgent Psyker Ability, especially the Holy Judgent of God, could even boost up their Psionics with the usage of their Psyker Ability to a ridiculous degree.
Because the Judge Ability and the Holy Judgnt of God allowed them to "Judge" things, they could, in fact, use it on their own Psionics, which in turn would boost up the capabilities of their own Psionic Arts and Psionic attacks and skill by a huge degree, which in turn, greatly increased their combat prowess and lethality.
He was surprised to see her using the sword and engaging him in close combat because, this way, she was essentially depriving herself of a natural advantage that the Holy Judgent of God provided to her.
However, another part of his was already pondering if it wasn't for sothing different that she was going for the close-quarter combat... he already had a vague idea that one of the possible reasons was that she was skilled in the usage of the Psionic Arts or that she didn't have a talent.
But that last one he forgone quickly because everyone stemming from the Bloodline Lineage Aristocratic Houses had a very strong talent for Psionics.
The chances for soone being born into such Bloodline Lineage like that of the Luxford and also being born with the Super-High Risk Psyker Ability but without sufficient talent for the Psionics would be either a very bad joke, a twist of fate, or an unimaginable degree of bad luck.
Still, he decided to observe for the ti being and see if his suspicions were true.
In the fight between two Super-High Risk Psyker Abilities, the stronger ones would win in the pure, straightforward exchange if the second Super-High Risk Psyker Ability wasn't special in so way.
As they were standing in the sparring room that was for the exclusive use of the Special Class Course students, neither of them had done the first movent for several minutes already because the only thing that they were doing was observation.
After several monts of observation and a good amount of impatience and tension in the air, they rushed toward each other simultaneously with their training swords in their hands.
Neither of them was using their real weapons because that could be dangerous in the sparring; thus, they were using only their training ones. Still, even though they were only the training swords, they were made from the superb materials so they should be able to withstand their powers completely.
Everything at the Imperial Phoenix Military Academy was made with that in mind and everything was just best of the best.
After a few initial exchanges with Jeniael Luxford, Arcturs ca to the conclusion that she was a very good swordsman and was extrely proficient in real combat and close-quarter combat.
Neither of them was using their Psyker Abilities because, for the ti being, they were just testing their limits, reflexes, and everything around the combat so they could properly gauge the threat level of their opponent.
Only when both of them gathered enough information would they be going to fight for the real, as this was sothing akin to a weird warming-up season.
Only after approximately fifteen minutes did both of them stop, look at each other with so sort of tacit understanding, and decide to use their Super-High Risk Psyker Abilities. Arcturus decided to start slowly and just called out the Empyrean Power for the start while he could see that Jeniael was glowing with golden-light energy or sothing around her entire body.
When Arcturus looked at Jeniael, who was already using the Holy Judgent of God, he felt a sense of danger and dread, which was sothing that he wasn't feeling very often. One could say that he never felt it in his entire life when he was fighting soone of the sa Grade.
The Holy Judgent of God was releasing the energy that was causing anyone who looked at it to feel so sort of reverence when looking at it.
Now that he looked at Jeniael, who was using the Holy Judgnt of God in an entirely different fashion compared to what he had seen about the Super-High Risk Psyker Ability on the Imperial NetSphere.
When soone was famous, especially in cases like the House Luxford, which belonged to the top Bloodline Lineage Aristocratic Houses of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya, their Super-High Risk Psyker Ability was very famous, and there was plenty of information about the public sources.
As he dodged the strike of her sword, which was cracking with the almost holy-like energy of the golden color, he realized her fighting style.
It didn't escape his sight that during the entire fight, she wasn't using even basic Psionic Arts, even a single bit, but was costly using just the sword and elentary Psionic Energy Techniques to strengthen her physical capabilities because she was a warrior as well.
'So my suspicions that she can't, for whatever reason, use the Psionic Arts is true... and her combat style is essentially the Anti-Psion Knight... dammit, those are the worst out there.'
Arcturus through, because the last thing that he wanted to fight against was the Anti-Psion Knight. This was more or like an occupation or discipline that one could specialize in, but the number of the geniue Anti-Psion Knights was extrely low.
They were even rarer than the users of the Super-High Risk Primal Psyker Abilities because of the unrealistically harsh requirents for being the Anti-Psion sothing occupation, be it Knight, Warrior, Assassin, or whatever is out there.
The essence of the Anti-Psion Occupation lay in their unique capabilities to negate the Psionic Energy, and they were trained to kill Psionics and Psykers by nullifying their natural advantages in real combat.
Most of them were either born with special physiques on whose Psionic Energy wasn't effective, and they were essentially immune to the effects of the Psionic Energy, while so were born with the Psyker Abilities that were able to either negate, nullify, or do sothing about the Psionic Energy.
Jeniael was achieving the sa result through the effects of the Holy Judgent of God, which allowed her to Judge and nullify the Psionic Energy of her opponents.
At the sa ti, from a certain point of view, she was even more dangerous than the Anti-Psion Knights, because she could use the Holy Judgnt of God to take control of the power of her opponents and use it against them.
With the Holy Judgent of God in the place, Arcturus knew that using the Dinsion Empyrean was problematic because he could easily find himself at the sharp edge of his own sword.
That was the last thing that he needed in this fight.
Aside from that, her Warrior Cultivation was probably equally impressive because it was clear that she was a natural Body Refiner Warrior, not soone who was using technology to achieve higher Grades like himself.
She was a real deal because she was about 50% stronger than he was and around 30% faster than he was, which was the result of the Orthodox training when it ca to the Warrior Profession.
When Jeniael activated the Holy Judgnt of God, her power increased drastically, and she imdiately started attacking Arcturus like a machine and pushing him back greatly.
Because her skill with the sword was superb, Arcturus needed to really give it all to keep up with her.
Without the use of the Empyrean Power openly, he stuck to swordsmanship only because, in the end, it was one of his strongest sides. Yet, because Jeniael was costly using the Holy Judgent of God that was targeting his Psionic Energy that he was using to boost his capabilities, she was slowly getting an upper hand in their spar.
When Arcturus attempted to send a few Psionic Blasts towards her way, she just slashed them apart with her sword as the Holy Judgent of God completely negated them all as they dispersed into nothingness as they had never appeared in the first place.
She was especially skillful when doing that, as he created distance between them when she was destroying the Psionic Blasts as he flipped backward and landed around fifteen ters away from her.
"So, what's your case? Can't use the Psionics or just won't use them?"
Arcturus asked as he looked at his opponent, noticing that the beautiful white-haired woman frowned a bit, but soon enough, her expression returned to normal.
"The first one... who would have thought that soone with the House Luxford would be born with zero talent for the Psionics. While I was born with the Super-High Risk Psyker Abiuility of the House Luxford, the Holy Judgent of God, and Advanced-Level Attunent for Psionic Energy, my talent for the Psionics is zero, and I can barely use only the most basic ones. You could imagine that the rest of the House Luxford wasn't really looking favorably on due to this..."
A certain part of him was surprised that she was willing to tell him this, but he understood her situation. For the House Luxford, which was priding itself for its high mastery in the Psionic Arts and Psionics, being born without the ability to use the Psionic Abilities properly or to use them as all was...
Sothing utterly shaful.
What made the situation worse was that, she was soone who was born with the Holy Judgent of God, but due to her other disaiblities, most of the Elders in her family viewed her like a deadweight that would never achieve anything due to her lack of the Psionic Art Aptitude that was non-existent.
