.....

A group of juniors were standing in front of the school gate, drawing the attention of the students who were entering the school grounds.

These juniors seed to be searching for soone as they kept staring at the faces of every senior male student. They kept glancing at their phones and sighed in disappointnt.

When Fei Chuan appeared, the bored juniors jumped in delight.

"That’s him, right?!"

"Long bangs, pale skin, thin, and gloomy... That must be him!"

"Quick, contact our school’s flower!"

The juniors were in commotion, and their loud voices beca clearer as Fei Chuan approached.

When he was a few ters away from the gate, the juniors suddenly lined up and asked him with an awkward smile, "Senior, could you please co with us? We have sothing important to tell you."

Fei Chuan paused in his steps and frowned.

He had a bad experience with people blocking his way. He noticed their junior’s uniform. Even the juniors were making moves on him now.

He ignored them and continued walking. The juniors tried to ask him again but he answered in cold silence. Since they could not stop him, they had no choice but to step aside.

They followed him awkwardly all the way to the senior’s building.

Fei Chuan was about to enter the senior’s building and the juniors were getting anxious. Finally, one brave junior student ran to the front and blocked his way.

"Senior! Could you please give us a few minutes? Our school flower wants to et you."

There was no way Fei Chuan would step into this trap. He looked coldly at the junior students, expressing his disinterest in whatever flower.

"Step out of the way."

The junior was startled. He did not expect Fei Chuan to be so cold.

He thought the target would be timid and would agree to the eting, especially after hearing about the junior school’s flower. But Fei Chuan glared threateningly at him instead.

Fei Chuan was thin and could be easily overlooked with his gloomy appearance. But once he stared darkly at soone, he could put pressure on people.

His cold glare scared the junior student.

As the student stood frozen, a haughty voice sounded from behind the group.

"I had to rush over here just to et you. Are you still not going to et ?"

The juniors beca lively upon seeing the newcor.

"Young Miss Xiaoni!"

Lin Xiaoni strode toward Fei Chuan with her chin raised.

She looked at him from head to toe. She had never seen the target, so she was quite curious about him. However, upon seeing his ’weak’ appearance, her interest was imdiately lost.

She had scolded her driver to rash over here imdiately. Just to et this weak-ass person.

Still, this was the person she had to win over to her side.

"You’re Fei Chuan, right? I’m Lin Xiaoni, the youngest granddaughter of the Lin family. I heard my cousins have wronged you. If they asked for an apology, don’t forgive them. Actually, don’t even et them. " Lin Xiaoni stated arrogantly.

"You don’t have to be afraid to offend them. Just tell them that you’re on my side. They won’t dare do anything to you. Including the school tyrant that everyone is afraid of. I am not afraid of her."

Lin Xiaoni’s bold and haughty statent left Fei Chuan speechless.

This was the first ti they had t, yet she was already ordering him around as if he were her slave.

Fei Chuan scoffed. He replied with equal arrogance, "I’m not afraid of anyone. I don’t plan to forgive anyone easily."

"Good. Then-"

"And I am definitely not on your side." Fei Chuan added coldly. He glared at the student who blocked his way, "Now stepped out of the way."

The junior student woke up from his daze and stepped aside.

Fei Chuan didn’t linger and entered the seniors’ building, leaving behind the stunned Lin Xiaoni.

...

Fei Chuan opened his locker and found a bunch of letters and a bouquet of flowers again.

Fei Chuan: "...."

These trashes again...

He clearly sent the ssage across yesterday. Why these things still kept appearing in his locker?

Fei Chuan threw everything on the trash without checking it. It would be a waste of ti to read them.

After disposing the ’trash’, Fei Chuan resud his way to the classroom.

Just as he finished climbing the stairs a voice sounded behind him.

"Fei Chuan, you won’t easily forgive those people right?"

A male student who had headphones around his neck was leaning on the wall.

Fei Chuan glanced at him cautiously.

He recognized this student. He was Bei Sangyun’s cousin, Lin Sanju. The brother of the Lin girl who talked to him the other day.

Fei Chuan had a bad impression of the Lin family. Because this family was just as ssy as the Fei family.

The people inside were arrogant and despicable, much like every mber of the Fei family.

The first example was the arrogant junior who introduced herself as part of the Lin family earlier and the Lins in his classroom.

Not to ntion this was the family that turned Bei Sangyun into the tyrant she was right now.

So he was very averse to this Lin family that most people looked up to. He did not want to talk or build a relationship with any of them.

Even another Lin family mber appeared in front of him, Fei Chuan first reaction was to avoid them.

He ignored Lin Sanju. Just as he passed him by, Lin Sanju laughed with a hint of ridicule.

"You are still snobbish as ever. You clearly did not change. So why are you letting those people mock you? It’s not like you, Fei Chuan."

Fei Chuan paused and turned to face Lin Sanju. He looked at the young man standing before him with narrowed eyes.

"Do you know ?"

Lin Sanju, seemingly unfazed by the encounter, unwrapped a lollipop and casually placed it in his mouth.

With a nonchalant deanor, he responded, "Of course, the youngest master of the Fei family and the treasure of the Chuan family, Fei Chuan. You were quite famous when we were kids, and I still rember how the adults used to praise you back then. Compared with my less-than-intelligent sister, Bei Sangyun is smart and figured it out. It seems her strategy to keep you in check worked rather well."

Fei Chuan raised his brow.

It was unusual for soone to recall his status as a talented young master of the Fei family. He believed that everyone had long forgotten his existence, given that it had been a long ti since he was celebrated as the cherished young master of the Fei and Chuan families. Now, he was nothing more than an outcast from the family.

However, Lin Sanju was still wrong.

He did not seem to know that he and Bei Sangyun had known each other before that’s why the latter kept him in check.

Lin Sanju’s all-knowing facade was pierced through instantly by Fei Chuan.

"So?" Fei Chuan inquired, raising an eyebrow. "Are you disappointed that I haven’t lived up to your expectations?"

Lin Sanju shook his head, the lollipop still in his mouth, as he continued to speak. "No, I’m not disappointed. In fact, I’m pleasantly surprised that you’ve chosen to remain low-key. It’s sothing we both seem to have in common."

"Have in common?" Fei Chuan pondered, his gaze locked onto Lin Sanju. He found it absurd that the other man could claim such a connection between them.

Although he was not paying much attention to the Lin family, he still got so idea about this family.

Unlike him, Lin Sanju still had both of his parents with him. Lin Sanju chose to be low-key by choice, while he was forced to do so for his own survival.

He was abandoned and totally lost his qualities to contend for his family’s inheritance while Lin Sanju was given an equal chance like his other cousins.

What similarities do they have with each other?

"You were buying ti and keeping all cards with yourself. But I don’t think that’s enough. You need allies who are sa-minded as you. Rather than Lin Sunji or Bei Sangyun, ally with instead." Lin Sunji offered.

Fei Chuan scoffed, "There’s nothing alike on us."

Lin Sanju frowned. He was showing his sincerity but Fei Chuan remained cold.

"Did you choose Bei Sangyun?"

Fei Chuan’s face turned ugly. Why the heck would he ally with her?

That’s the person who tornted him in this school.

Seeing his ugly expression, Lin Sanju got his answer. He was relieved. After all, based on the posts in the school forum, the two seed to be growing closer.

But then he frowned, "Then did you side with Lin Sunji? I heard you rejected her apology though."

"Apology?" Fei Chuan blurted out. Why did he keep hearing this word?

Seeing the confused expression on his face, Lin Sanju realized sothing.

"Ah...so she hasn’t ntioned anything to you. You must have rejected her before she could even start." Lin Sanju laughed. No wonder Lin Sunji was very angry.

"...What do you an?" Fei Chuan asked.

"Lin Sunji manipulated so students to bully you and place the bla on Bei Sangyun. I thought Bei Sangyun had told you. But it seed she didn’t."

Fei Chuan was stunned.

This was the first ti he was hearing it.

"Lin Sunji might look for you later. If I were you, don’t forgive her." Lin Sanju smirked, "But judging from your expression, you won’t forgive her. And that’s enough. Let’s see each other again."

There were many students coming up. So Lin Sanju could not continue the conversation and left.
