Bei Sangyun walked through the hallway, gently rubbing her stomach.

She was eager to finish her al quickly and wanted to leave the dining table early, so she hurriedly swallowed most of her food. Since she couldn’t savor the flavors, she hastily ate and ended up causing discomfort in her stomach.

Fortunately, the elderly man at the table sensed that everyone had eaten their fill and must have eaten dinner sowhere. He decided to conclude the al promptly, getting straight to the point.

So, like Bei Sangyun’s father, who had received information from Butler Xin, were already expecting the announcent. In comparison, the others had just learned about it.

Bei Sangyun could easily tell from their expressions that they were already planning so preparations.

Regardless, Bei Sangyun was relieved that she wouldn’t have to endure sitting at that awkward dining table while facing Lin Ginxian’s piercing gaze.

"Lin Sangyun."

Bei Sangyun rolled her eyes, inwardly. ’Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.’

What terrible luck.

Bei Sangyun didn’t slow down her stride and continued walking.

"Bei Sangyun!" Lin Ginxian’s irritation grew as he saw Bei Sangyun ignoring him. He called her by her forr na.

Bei Sangyun paused and turned around, feigning surprise. "Oh, were you calling ? My apologies, I didn’t hear you clearly."

Lin Ginxian took a deep breath. This troublemaker had been growing bolder with ti. If he didn’t need her for his plans, he would have dismissed her long ago.

"Co to my office."

"No, I have plenty of tasks to attend to."

"You! Don’t test my patience!"

Butler Xin, who stood behind Lin Ginxian, beca anxious and signaled for Bei Sangyun to follow along.

Bei Sangyun shrugged, wearing a cold smile. "I don’t have ti to test your patience. Didn’t you hear what that old man said earlier? If you want to be chosen as the host, you should give enough ti to prepare and study French. I only have two weeks before those visitors arrive. Surely, you don’t want us to fall behind your brothers, right?"

Lin Ginxian frowned. Despite his disdain for Bei Sangyun’s attitude, she was right. There were only two weeks left for her to learn about the visitors.

Butler Xin stepped forward. "Master, I will surely keep a close eye on the young miss."

Lin Ginxian harrumphed. "Ensure she grasps the basics of the language in two weeks." He turned to Bei Sangyun. "Don’t you dare slack off; I will test you in two weeks."

As Lin Ginxian left, Butler Xin sighed in relief and approached Bei Sangyun. "Young Miss, I have prepared several French classes for you, starting tomorrow. There are audio and practice lessons. For now, please watch these videos—"

Butler Xin handed the tablet to Bei Sangyun. He had devised a thod to expedite her French language learning.

Although Bei Sangyun had taken so language courses in the past, considering with many languages she had learned back then, she might have forgotten the basics.

Bei Sangyun rejected the tablet. "There’s no need for that. Cancel all the classes."

Butler Xin was about to protest when Bei Sangyun spoke in fluent French.

"Je sais déjà comnt converser en français." (I already know how to converse in French.)

Butler Xin was stunned. As soone chosen as the personal butler of the heir, he was expected to be proficient in several languages, including French.

The young miss had just spoken fluent French with the right intonation and no awkward pauses!

Butler Xin gulped and decided to test her. "Comnt as-tu appris à parler français?" (How did you learn to speak French?)

"J’ai suivi le cours de base auparavant. De plus, je dois utiliser la langue française lorsque je parle à certaines personnes." (I took the basic course before. Also, I have to use the French language when speaking to certain people.)

Bei Sangyun frowned, as speaking French brought back unpleasant mories. She had endured imnse suffering during those tis.

In order to be chosen as the host, she had cramd within two weeks, learning the language tirelessly, often without sleep. She did not relax even while she was walking and practiced French.

But despite her efforts, she was only able to learn the basics and was only able to converse slowly like a toddler.

Not to ntion the hardships she had faced after stealing the role of the host, she also had to go through a lot of ordeal after becoming the official heir, diving into foreign languages to conduct business deals swiftly and seamlessly.

In pursuit of the skills she desired, she had sacrificed her youth and health.

Bei Sangun did not want to dwell on those mories. "Anyway, I am confident without the classes. So, send to the hospital."

Butler Xin gazed at Bei Sangyun in awe. He had witnessed her struggle during the language courses before, where she had tackled it only in two months before taking another language course. It was enough to only get the gist of it.

But right now, what the Old Master wanted was soone who could speak and reply in French, soone who could entertain the guests and act as a host. In other words, a fluent speaker.

However, achieving fluency typically requires at least a year or two of consistent practice. So it was very admirable that Bei Sangyun managed to be fluent in such a short ti.

Butler Xin realized there was much he didn’t know about Bei Sangyun, which made him speechless with a sense of awe.

"Very well, I’ll prepare the car. But please keep your promise to return before dawn."

In another wing of the Lin mansion, Lin Sunji also received a new schedule for her French classes.

"You’ll need to cancel your afternoon school classes and use that ti to study French. The butler will provide you with the materials. Fortunately, I managed to bribe Master Lin’s butler and learned about the announcent in advance. Although you only have a half-day advantage over the others, it should be enough to put you ahead," Li i, Lin Sunji’s mother, made the preparations.

Lin Sunji smiled, "Don’t worry, Mom. I did well in my previous French classes. I still rember the basics."

"Basics won’t suffice. You need to beco fluent. Besides, Bei Sangyun scored higher than you. Lin Ginxian didn’t seem surprised earlier; he must have learned about the announcent as well. You and that illegitimate daughter are starting from the sa point, unlike the others. Of course, Lin Zhe and Lin Fei are exceptions. But it’s crucial not to fall behind Lin Ginxian’s daughter. Don’t let her outdo you this ti."

Lin Sunji nodded solemnly, "I won’t let her win. She just got lucky last ti; it won’t happen again!"

Li i patted her shoulder, "I know my daughter is intelligent. You’ll leave Lin Ginxian’s daughter in the dust."

Lin Sunji nodded, her confidence boosted.

Suddenly, she had a thought.

She glanced to the side and saw her twin brother, Lin Sanju, on the couch with his headphones on, deeply engrossed in playing gas.

Good, her brother wasn’t listening.

Lin Sunji turned her attention back to her mother.

"Mom, when can we put our ’plan’ into action to get rid of her? I can’t stand her arrogance at school any longer."

Li i patted her head, "Be patient. If you expose her now, she will only get a lighter punishnt. What we want is not a simple suspension. We have to get her expelled." Li i’s eyes glead with determination.

Lin Sunji pouted, "But it’s taking too long. Besides, that bitch is acting strangely."

"Strange?"

"Yes. She suddenly made an announcent to not touch her target."

Li i: "?"

"What does she an by that, Mom? Is she going to stop bullying him? Or is this just another one of her tricks?"

Lin Sanju, who was seated not far away from them, paused, causing his character on his phone to et an unfortunate end. He ’tsked’ and resud playing.

Li i fell silent. She tried to avoid getting involved in her children’s affairs as much as possible. She only tends to provide guidance and ideas to her daughter. She believed in her daughter’s need for growth, so she left most of the plans to be executed by her personally.

As a result, she didn’t have many details, such as who the target was or why Bei Sangyun had chosen that person.

Unlike, Lin Xiaoni’s parents who spoiled their child and made her grow stupid, Li i was determined to raise her daughter to be smart, as an heir should be.

After so thought, Li i added, "Just keep a close eye on her. She might be altering her plans. Rember, with her notorious reputation, it will be easy to create a major disturbance that could result in her expulsion. Think it through."

Li i dropped a hint for her daughter. If that student were to be severely injured and hospitalized due to Bei Sangyun’s bullying, and with all the evidence her daughter had gathered and nurous witnesses present, it would be relatively easy to push the illegitimate daughter for expulsion.

Her daughter, Lin Sunji, would then ascend to the top rank, while Bei Sangyun would tarnish the Lin family’s na and potentially be expelled from the heir competition.

Lin Sunji took her mother’s words to heart. However, compared to the experienced Li i, a young person like her hadn’t thought to that extent.

"Don’t worry, Mom. There will be plenty of opportunities, especially since the two of them have beco seatmates."

Lin Sunji said with eagerness, she already had a lot of devious ideas inside her head.
