"Young- I an, Master, you have to et your father in his office. If you do not show up, he will co here. The consequences afterward will be grueso," Butler Xin urgently advised Bei Sangyun, who was currently in her room.

Butler Xin knocked on the door, attempting to convince Bei Sangyun to et with Lin Ginxian, who was waiting in his office in a furious state.

Bei Sangyun’s voice emanated from inside the room, "Let him be. His anger will pass. You should be more concerned about ’my’ anger than his."

Butler Xin: "...."

He really wanted to open that stubborn head to see what was inside.

Why did she suddenly lose her temper and did such an outrageous thing?

She even did it in front of Old Master Lin! Was she thinking at all at that ti?

"Master, per our agreent, I shouldn’t question your actions. However, what you did makes it hard for to comprehend whether you truly desire the official heir title. The Old Master had been favorably inclined toward you due to your achievents in school, but you jeopardized it in an instant! I can’t help but think that you acted out of temper. The Master I served isn’t so shallow as to be unable to endure a little bit of scolding."

Suddenly, the door swung open, revealing Bei Sangyun in a new set of clothes.

"You are right. You shouldn’t question due to our agreent. I threw water in his face out of temper. I am indeed shallow, and I have no intention of enduring even a ’little bit of scolding’."

Butler Xin: "...."

She had indeed answered all his questions, but he hadn’t expected to hear those answers directly from her.

Had he truly made the right choice, or had he been deceived by an unpredictable young girl?

"Master, it seems you’ve chosen to reveal your true nature to them, but I strongly advise against it. It’s not yet ti to act imposingly at this ti. Your power and influence are still limited. Right now, the best course of action is to apologize to your father and soothe his anger so that he can assist you to the best of his abilities. There’s nothing to be gained from angering him."

"Nothing to be gained? You are wrong with that. I gain a bit of peace of mind- Hiss." Bei Sangyun hissed a bit as her swollen cheeks got in the way of her talking. It hurts a bit.

"I am taking it back. I just got angrier." Her eyes flashed with fierceness.

"Master! I am begging you! Please don’t act recklessly and apologize to Master Ginxian."

Butler Xin was truly struggling. He began to doubt whether siding with this seemingly irrational girl was the right decision.

Bei Sangyun crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Butler Xin, you worry too much. I may have left a poor impression on the old man, but it won’t last long. In two weeks, my opportunity will co."

Butler Xin, who had been questioning his choices, stopped in his tracks. "Opportunity?"

"Yes. That old man’s friend is coming here soon, and that will be my chance to shine," Bei Sangyun explained with a casual shrug.

Butler Xin was dumbfounded. Was Bei Sangyun delusional?

He was better inford than most of the mansion’s staff. He often had information before even the other masters were aware of it. So how did Bei Sangyun know sothing he didn’t?

Butler Xin was convinced that Bei Sangyun was making it up. His lips twisted as he believed he had fallen for her deception.

He couldn’t help but curse himself inwardly.

How had he fallen for such a cheap trick? What was wrong with his judgnt?

How could he have been so foolish to believe and risk everything for this inexperienced and ignorant person?

Butler Xin’s expression suddenly shifted to one of anger. How dare this girl make a fool out of him!

"I haven’t heard any news about a visitor coming to the Lin Mansion, nor have I heard of Old Master Lin’s friend coming here," Butler Xin remarked.

"Ah? The old man should have announced it today," Bei Sangyun paused, recognition dawning in her eyes. "Oh, I must have arrived too early, and he missed the chance to announce it. What a coincidence. It might be a blessing in disguise."

In the past, when the old man announced family dinners, everyone attended, including her.

At that ti, she had just achieved the top rank, and Lin Ginxian had boasted about it, making her the center of attention.

It briefly improved the old man’s mood, but it was followed by a battle of sharp and hidden words between the sons.

The old man had grown unhappy, but he hadn’t left like he did today. Before his departure, he had still managed to announce that his friend would be coming.

The old man stood up with a disappointed expression. "I wanted to bring the family closer together, but seeing you all like this makes wonder if it’s the right decision to introduce you to my longti friend who has just returned from France. However, since I’ve already committed, make sure to control your tempers and not let him and his family witness this unsightly side of yours."

With that, the old man left, his back displaying his discontent.

Bei Sangyun smirked as she recalled that incident. "This ti, we’ll have the advantage if we prepare early, Butler Xin. You got lucky."

Butler Xin took a deep breath. He’d had enough of this. He wouldn’t tolerate any more of her nonsense.

"Young Miss—"

"In two weeks’ ti, the old man’s friend and his family will visit here from France. At that ti, the old man will use the opportunity to test the heirs. Since no one knows about it yet, we can seize the chance beforehand. You can gather more details from the old man’s personal butler. It should be an easy task for you to gather the information, right?"

Butler Xin’s words paused as Bei Sangyun spoke at the sa ti as him. He wasn’t inclined to believe her words, but when he heard her last sentence, he hesitated once more.

Could that information be true?

Old Master Lin’s friend from France? Who could it be? Why didn’t he know anything about it?

Butler Xin stared at Bei Sangyun, trying to gauge whether she was telling the truth.

Bei Sangyun held her stinging cheek. "I don’t want to talk too much. Handle the matter with that Ginxian. I’ll have to go back to grandma."

"Master, you’re grounded," Butler Xin reminded her.

"Who cares? I’m going to leave, and no one can stop ."

"But there are many guards who can stop you," Butler Xin pointed out, gesturing to the hall.

Bei Sangyun didn’t see anyone in the hall, but based on Butler Xin’s gestures, she assud that Lin Ginxian had stationed hidden guards who would keep her grounded in her room. They must be lurking in the corners.

Bei Sangyun frowned. What she despised most was having her freedom restricted.

"But don’t worry. I can handle it. You have an afternoon class. Please attend it. I’ll talk to your father to lift the grounding for the sake of your schooling. However, you won’t be able to go to the hospital, as those guards will surely be watching you from a distance."

Bei Sangyun wasn’t pleased.

"You can contact Guard Huang when you arrive at school. Once I’ve dealt with Master Ginxian, I’ll find a way for you to see Mrs. Bei."

Bei Sangyun gazed icily at the empty hall.

Her impulsiveness urged her to leave the mansion without caring about anything, to defy Lin Ginxian and the Lin family altogether.

After living as the boss of her own life, she wasn’t accustod to having soone dictate her life. She allowed the madness in her heart to take over. Only by being crazy could she hope to diminish her own insanity.

However, if she let her recklessness take over, she would be endangering Grandma Bei as well.

Bei Sangyun took a deep breath to calm her tumultuous thoughts.

"Fine. I’ll go to school. I’ll leave the rest to you."

Butler Xin inwardly breathed a sigh of relief.

He had been afraid that this unpredictable young woman might suddenly run away without any concern.

He hadn’t yet confird if her words were true. Once he verified the information from Old Master Lin’s personal butler and confird its authenticity, then Butler Xin would begin to take action.
