"Grandma!" Bei Sangyun desperately wanted to catch her, but her own arms were held firmly by the bodyguard. Her eyes turned fierce.

"If you don’t let go of now, I will make sure you are forever unemployed and left to die on the streets," her chilling and cold voice sent shivers down the bodyguard’s spine, making him unconsciously release his grip.

The other guard was also frightened by the threat. They were professional individuals who had traded their talents and freedom to the Lin family in exchange for many benefits. In reality, they worked for Bei Sangyun, not Butler Xin. However, because Butler Xin held more power than Bei Sangyun, they followed his orders rather than those of their true master.

After being freed, Bei Sangyun helped Grandma Bei to stand up.

"Are you hurt, Grandma? How about your knees?"

Grandma Bei wasn’t injured, but the fall had left her with so pain in her hips.

"I’m fine, dear. But who are they?"

Many people in the vicinity had already noticed their group and called the hospital’s guards when they saw the well-built n surrounding Bei Sangyun. The hospital guards arrived in ti, witnessing an old woman being pushed by one of the n in black suits.

The hospital guards blocked the bodyguards that Butler Xin had brought. Forced to step forward, Butler Xin introduced himself to the hospital guards.

While they settled the matter, Bei Sangyun led Grandma Bei to a seat, feeling the weight of nurous eyes still on them.

She locked her gaze onto the bodyguard who had pushed Grandma Bei. Her calm eyes sent a chill down his spine.

The bodyguard felt Bei Sangyun’s gaze and stiffened. He hid his big body behind Butler Xin’s build.

"Grandma, please take a seat."

"Are they taking you back? They wouldn’t hurt you, would they?" Grandma Bei had now recognized Butler Xin and understood who these people were. "If you don’t want to go, let’s not go back. While they are distracted, we can leave."

Bei Sangyun smiled reassuringly, "We can’t escape from the Lin family just yet, but don’t worry, I’ll handle them."

Bei Sangyun heard one of the hospital guards speak to Butler Xin as she approached them. "We will not tolerate any violence here, so please leave once you’ve settled your business,"

"Yes, we won’t be long. Thank you for your understanding."

Finally, after shooing away the hospital guards, Butler Xin turned around to face Bei Sangyun once more.

Butler Xin narrowed his eyes. "Young Miss, neither of us wants this matter to escalate, correct? If you create a scene here, the other heirs will get wind of it." He glanced behind Bei Sangyun, specifically at Grandma Bei, who was sitting a short distance away. "I didn’t expect you to break your promise and et your grandmother, but I’ll overlook it this ti. Now that you’ve seen her, let’s return. I’ll forgive your disrespect towards . I only hope you recognize who your allies are."

Bei Sangyun pointed towards the guard who had pushed her grandmother. "Before we can have a genuine discussion, I want this man to work exclusively for ."

Butler Xin raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"I’ll co with you peacefully, but my first condition is that you give this man."

Butler Xin glanced at the bodyguard, who trembled.

The bodyguard could not help but curse his bad luck. The mory of the young girl’s intense gaze ca flooding back, making him wonder if the young miss might actually harm him. He considered that many wealthy people had dark intentions. Could she be one of them?

"Why did I have to get caught because of this?" The guard muttered quietly to Butler Xin.

Butler Xin chose to ignore him.

"Very well. He will now answer to you. Please co with , Young Miss."

"Prepare a place where we can talk privately first. I’m sure you have questions for . You wouldn’t want to reveal certain information to my father, would you?"

Butler Xin stiffened. Was she referring to ’that’?

He contemplated for a mont as he locked eyes with Bei Sangyun.

Bei Sangyun t his gaze unwaveringly.

Butler Xin felt a sudden wave of anxiety. Could it be that she really knew sothing? But who had inford her of these matters?

He gritted his teeth. He didn’t want to be in a vulnerable position, but he had no choice but to accept her suggestion this ti. It was better to extract answers from her than to risk his secrets being exposed to others.

"Very well. I’ll make the necessary preparations."

Butler Xin didn’t notice that his tone had changed as he spoke to her. Instead of disdain and arrogance, there was now caution in his voice, and his gaze changed to one of intrigue when he glanced at Bei Sangyun.

Bei Sangyun then turned to the bodyguard, causing him to stiffen.

She smiled, but her eyes remained cold. "It’s ridiculous that I have to seek my butler’s permission just to order my people around. And it’s even more ridiculous that my own people dare to lay a hand on ."

Butler Xin heard her words and froze, looking back at Bei Sangyun.

Bei Sangyun wasn’t just addressing the guard; her words were directed at him as well.

Was it a warning?

Butler Xin was stunned once again. How could he have imagined that the young girl who had been submissive towards him just a few days ago could beco so defiant?

How could soone change so much?

Butler Xin felt a sudden curiosity. He wanted to see how Bei Sangyun would handle the guard who had dared to harm her grandmother.

Bei Sangyun stepped forward towards the guard. "What is your na?"

"...my s-surna is Huang."

"Guard Huang, what do you think is the punishnt for soone who harms their master?"

"...Being exiled from the family and having their rights as a guard revoked."

"You’re wrong." Bei Sangyun smiled darkly at him. "It’s having the hand that dared to harm cut off. I’ll feed it to hungry dogs while you watch your hand being devoured and swallowed. But I won’t fire you; I’ll let you work hard like a dog until you die, with or without an arm."

Guard Huang turned pale, feeling his blood run cold.

"T-that’s... That’s not in the contract..."

"What the master says is the rule. This is my rule from now on, understand, Guard Huang?"

Despite her youth, this girl had the power to make her words a reality, and he didn’t take her words lightly.

Guard Huang suddenly rembered a story that he heard from his comrades who worked for other families. So of those wealthy people were really sick in the mind and did so cruel things. And even if they kill soone, they can get away from it.

"I... Please forgive , Young Miss!" Guard Huang suddenly kneeled out of fear.

Bei Sangyun narrowed her eyes dangerously. "There are many people watching us. Do you really want your feet cut off this ti?"

Guard Huang imdiately stood up, now genuinely frightened of this young girl.

"I might be crazy in the past. But I promise myself I won’t be like that as long as my grandmother is here."

Guard Huang: ?

He looked puzzled.

"So, I’ll give you another chance this ti. Your life is now tied to my grandma’s safety. If she’s hurt or uncomfortable in any way while I entrust her safety to you, it won’t just be your hands and feet on the line. Are we clear?"

Guard Huang had no doubt about Bei Sangyun’s words. Despite her youthful appearance, her nacing gaze and threatening words left no room for doubt. She was deadly serious!

"...I understand."

"I couldn’t quite hear you. Do you want your tongue to join the list of things to be cut off?"

"....I understand, Master." Guard Huang replied quickly and with a loud voice.

Bei Sangyun gave Guard Huang one last aningful look before turning her attention back to Grandma Bei.

Butler Xin observed their interaction, feeling a deep sense of strangeness.

Was this truly the sa little girl he had raised for eight years? How had she changed so drastically in just a few days?

When had she developed the ability to threaten and dominate others so effectively?

After Bei Sangyun settled Grandma Bei into the hospital’s VIP room and assigned Guard Huang to ensure her safety, she left with Butler Xin.
