The lively park, filled with laughter monts ago, turned eerily silent, thick with tension and bloodlust. It seed that a bloody fight could break out any mont.
Head Master Fei looked around in surprise and realized the situation. Even though he had brought a large number of his people, they were still outnumbered. All the people in the park, whom he thought were civilians, were actually the other party’s people.
He had expected Bei Sangyun and the people behind her to prepare beforehand while not giving him enough ti to do the sa. But to fill the entire park—a public place—with her own people and turn it into their territory to make a safe place for Fei Chuan was truly incredible.
"...So this is why she chose this place," Head Master Fei muttered. But then his eyes glinted.
This wasn’t the only thing he had prepared beforehand.
As he was about to send a signal again, Fei Chuan spoke.
"You should call back your n before the police beco aware of the situation here. If a fight truly breaks out, you will lose your n. You don’t want them to die in vain, do you?"
Head Master Fei paused. Fei Chuan was indeed making sense. But with his reinforcents on the way and with ’that,’ there was still a chance they could win.
Ignoring Fei Chuan’s warning, he took off his hat, a signal for the sniper to shoot.
However, after waiting for three seconds, there was no tranquilizer dart hitting Fei Chuan. It was unusually silent.
Head Master Fei glanced at the nearby buildings. There were four snipers in total, two with tranquilizer bullets for Fei Chuan and two with real rifles to shoot those who tried to block their way.
With four snipers on his side, he was not too worried, even though they were outnumbered in the field.
But, no one responded to his signal.
While Head Master Fei was frantically glancing around, Fei Chuan’s phone rang.
Fei Chuan picked up the phone. Seeing the caller, a smile subconsciously appeared on his lips.
He did not answer the call but handed it to the flustered Head Master Fei instead. "I want to answer the call, but I think this is for you."
Head Master Fei accepted the phone in bewildernt. He was still trying to understand why his people failed to respond to his signal. Did they betray him? Or were they apprehended?
But those four had just confird their positions right before Fei Chuan appeared. What was going on?
Head Master Fei glanced at the ringing phone and saw the caller’s ID.

He answered the ringing phone with many thoughts in mind.
"Head Master Fei, it’s ." Bei Sangyun’s voice sounded on the phone.
Head Master Fei: "...."
In one of the nearby buildings across the park, Bei Sangyun stood at a floor-to-ceiling window, holding a telescope to her eyes and speaking into the earpiece connected to her phone.
She had been watching them intently since the beginning.
"I thought you were just going to say goodbye to your grandson. But instead, you play such disgusting tricks. You went against your word."
"...He is my grandson. He needs to go back to his ho. Even if I have to drag him, I will."
"So you were even prepared to shoot him?"
On the other line, Head Master Fei paused. It seed his snipers had been apprehended.
"Those are tranquilizers...."
Bei Sangyun scoffed. "Yeah, I figured. I almost went mad when I saw your snipers ready to shoot my Fei Chuan. So I had my n use your n’s rifles to shoot them. Two of them are just sleeping like babies while the other two...tsk."
Through the telescope, Head Master Fei’s expression darkened. "...You killed them? You’re barely twenty and already so ruthless. I worry for the future of the Lin family."
Fei Chuan, who was beside Head Master Fei, glanced at him darkly. Head Master Fei felt his grandson’s dark gaze and stiffened for a second.
This grandson of his...how dare he glare at his own grandfather?!
Bei Sangyun glanced at the two snipers whom her n brought in, bleeding from the leg but still alive. She shrugged. "Says the person who is ready to kill at any ti and put his own grandson in harm’s way."
"I have no intention of harming my grandson. He is better off with the family than with people like you. Let him go, Bei Sangyun. If you do, we will not pursue this matter any longer. We will even withdraw the lawsuit. What do you say?"
Bei Sangyun rolled her eyes at Head Master Fei’s nonsense.
The Third Chief beside her signaled an ’okay’ sign, indicating the success of the operation.
She smiled. "You are being too talkative today, Head Master Fei. Are you buying ti? Too bad, the reinforcent team you’re waiting for can’t co."
Through the telescope, Head Master Fei grimaced.
They even know about the reinforcent team.
He glanced at his watch and then turned his gaze to the horizon. The reinforcent team that the Fei family had gathered at the last minute should have arrived by now.
Were they really... gone as well?
Bei Sangyun adjusted the telescope to watch his every expression.

"...Who are you?" Head Master Fei could not help but ask out loud. He was so shaken that he was even asking such a ridiculous question.
Bei Sangyun smiled over the phone and adjusted her telescope toward Fei Chuan.
Fei Chuan’s handso face ca into view. The morning sunlight shone over his head, creating a gentle halo around him. His fair skin glistened in the light, and the scenery behind him paled in comparison to his beauty.
Bei Sangyun’s overbearing gaze softened imdiately, her smile turning sweeter. "I am Fei Chuan’s girlfriend, and his future wife."
