Fei Huan Jiang brought his unusually silent three cousins with him.
Fei Yuxuang, Fei ngqi, and Fei Ling sweated under the pressure of the gazes around them.
No one noticed their strange expressions or gloomy faces, as if they were being shoved onto an execution platform.
Fei Yi Lang was too delighted about their presence to notice. "Tell us, did you three witness what Fei Min did?"
The three did not respond and just lowered their heads.
Head Master Fei was hesitant about this, but he still led the interrogation. Knowing how aggressive Fei Yi Lang was, if the latter led the questioning, it would not look favorably on them.
"Fei Yuxuang, I heard you were with Fei Min earlier. How did the three of you arrive together?
Since it was the Head Master asking, Fei Yuxuang couldn’t remain silent anymore.
"...Fei Min heard Fei Chuan could not attend the banquet because he was sick. He wanted to visit him, and so we followed him."
"Hmph. My son was very concerned with that brat, yet his kindness was taken advantage of and used against him!" Fei Yi Lang comnted.
Fei Yi Lang’s comnt had pulled most people to his side. They murmured and exchanged glances as they picked on Bei Sangyun.
"What is this? Did she really just co here to disrupt the event? Fei Min visited his sick cousin out of concern; how did it beco bullying?"
"Defending a friend, did she say? I think she just wanted to use this opportunity to cause a ruckus."
"Tsk. Did the Lin family know one of their people ca here and made an embarrassnt of herself?"
The surrounding murmurs caused Head Master Fei’s expression to ease a bit. Fei Yi Lang beca even more confident.
The latter asked with anticipation, "Since you ca with my son, then you have seen everything that happened, right?"
Fei Yuxuang sweated. "...Yes. Fei ngqi and Fei Ling saw it too."
The two sweated more as their nas were ntioned again.
Head Master Fei glanced at the two ntioned people. He was thinking about what question to ask to shift the bla to the Lin family rather than Fei Min and the Fei family. Although it seed these kids would lie to save Fei Min’s face, he still did not want them to lie in front of everyone.
But soone was very impatient.
Fei Yi Lang turned to the two. His eyes fell on Fei Ling. This child and Fei Chuan were half-brothers. And based on what he had seen so far, although this child appeared obedient and gentle outside, he hated Fei Chuan the most.
"Fei Ling, you saw everything, right? Then can you tell us what you have seen?"
Head Master Fei frowned, "Fei Yi Lang, I told you to stand aside."
This fool kept making things worse!
But Fei Yi Lang wouldn’t give in. Why was his father carefully tiptoeing around when the favor was on their side? This was such an opportunity sent by the heavens!

"Who said we are lying?" Bei Sangyun suddenly interjected. She gazed at the three with a cold smile. "You haven’t even listened to their testimony yet you already jumped to conclusions. Hey, you." Bei Sangyun pointed at Fei ngqi. "Tell us, what did you see? You guys are keeping everyone waiting."
All eyes turned to Fei ngqi. She trembled, her mouth shut tight; she did not know what to say.
If she told the truth, the Fei family would surely receive the brunt of it, and they would bla her even though it was Fei Min’s fault. But if she didn’t tell the truth, her secret would be exposed, and not only would the Fei family bla her, but the whole society would too!
No matter what choice she made, she would surely suffer. Then she might as well choose the lesser evil. After all, this was Fei Min’s fault. Why should she have to suffer and bear his wrongdoing?
Fei ngqi shed tears. She glanced up at Head Master Fei with a pained expression, "Grandpa, you always taught us to be honest and forgiving. I always kept your teaching at heart."
Head Master Fei’s heart thumped. He suddenly had a bad feeling.
Fei Yi Lang was ecstatic, not noticing anything amiss. He encouraged Fei ngqi, "Go on. Tell us. Just be honest." He believed his niece, Fei ngqi, was witty enough and should know what to do.
Fei ngqi cried harder. "I followed cousin Fei Min because he said he would check if cousin Fei Chuan was truly sick. Out of concern for my youngest cousin, I also followed along. But then, we found him just standing around in his bedroom, not looking sick at all."
Fei Yi Lang smiled, ’Right, that bastard was faking it. Tell everyone that Fei Chuan set a trap and worked with this crazy lady to accuse Fei Min!’
"Cousin Fei Min suddenly got angry. He threw a tantrum and dragged Fei Chuan out of his place. He ordered the butler to douse him with cold water and to keep him outside all night long."
Fei Yi Lang’s smile suddenly turned stiff. "...W-what are you saying...?"
Fei ngqi avoided his gaze. "We tried to stop Fei Min. But he continued to beat up Fei Chuan while talking badly about his girlfriend. Then, she appeared and protected Fei Chuan." Fei ngqi said everything in one go without pausing.
Everyone was dumbfounded. They expected that she would testify to protect Fei Min. But this was different from what they expected!
Fei ngqi couldn’t handle the gazes on her. She pulled Fei Ling, "Fei Ling also knows about it. You tell them what happened next."
She successfully turned the gazes to Fei Ling. The shocked eyes of everyone landed on Fei Ling, waiting for him to continue.
Fei Yi Lang almost lost his composure. A small bit of reason kept him from exploding at Fei ngqi. He turned to Fei Ling, his eyes both hopeful and threatening.
Fei Ling shuddered and avoided Fei Yi Lang’s gaze. But when he turned to the side, he t Bei Sangyun’s threatening eyes.
Fei Ling: "...."
