Although Lin Sunji did not believe in myths, she recognized that the ’Tears of rmaid’ was sothing all young ladies would desire and proudly boast about. After all it is worth six million dollars.

But how did Bei Sangyun acquire it? Lin Ginxian surely wouldn’t spend that much money on her. She couldn’t even afford it because she did not have such a connection to acquire it. So how co an illegitimate daughter had such ans?

Lin Sunji gritted her teeth and muttered, "It must be fake."

.....

Bei Sangyun and Fei Chuan’s table was at the front, their backs turned to everyone else. Even though they couldn’t see the reactions of the people behind them, Bei Sangyun was confident that everyone’s attention was focused on them, just as it always was. However, this ti, the reason had changed.

The first thing Bei Sangyun noticed upon entering was the gazes directed at Fei Chuan. In the past, those looks were either full of pity or ridicule, but this ti their intense gaze was filled with awe and unabashed infatuation. Especially the girls, so of whom couldn’t even close their mouths.

Bei Sangyun glanced at the handso youth beside her. Well, she couldn’t bla them. This man was indeed handso, and he would only grow more handso in the future. As expected for soone she had chosen to marry.

Fei Chuan felt her gaze and glanced back at her with a questioning look.

Bei Sangyun leaned closer and whispered, "Everyone’s looking at you because you are so handso. I bet many ladies will line up to dance with you tonight."

Fei Chuan felt her breath on his neck, causing his ears to flush red without his permission. He turned his head away from her, "It’s you who will be busy tonight."

Fei Chuan’s gaze then turned to the table behind them. Jang Shin’s eyes were still on Bei Sangyun.

See, that man couldn’t take his eyes away from her.

Fei Chuan suddenly turned to Bei Sangyun. "Do you want to change seats?"

Bei Sangyun asked, "Why?"

"I will let you pick on my food later if we change seats."

Bei Sangyun was pleasantly surprised and imdiately agreed. The two quickly changed their positions. Then, Fei Chuan moved his chair a bit behind Bei Sangyun, trying to cover her as much as possible from the back.

Jang Shin’s view suddenly changed to Fei Chuan’s back, and he could only see Bei Sangyun’s shoulder.

Jang Shin: "...."

The principal’s opening speech was soon finished, and the intermissions from the talented juniors followed.

The hosts then started to introduce the seniors, beginning from the last section. Everyone did their best to dance on the stage with their partners, attempting to appear more elegant and dignified in front of the caras and the audience.

Refreshnts and snacks were served. Fei Chuan wasn’t in the mood to eat, but since he promised Bei Sangyun, he could only take a bite of the food she brought onto his plate. Once he took a bite, Bei Sangyun would put the rest in her mouth.

Fei Chuan: "...."

He felt like he was a poison food tester.

He couldn’t help but remind her, "Don’t eat too much. You can eat a lot after our dance." If Bei Sangyun danced with a full stomach, she might get indigestion.

"Okay," Bei Sangyun replied obediently and set down her utensil. Fei Chuan handed her a drink.

Finally, the dances of the other sections had finished, and it was now the star section’s turn.

Bei Sangyun and Fei Chuan stood up and moved to their positions.

Lin Sunji and Jang Shin took the center stage. In this dance, their position was the highlight. However, despite being at the center, everyone’s attention was not on them but on the farthest corner where two outstanding figures seed to be in their own world.

Bei Sangyun took the initiative to take Fei Chuan’s hand. She looked up at him and teased, "Let’s enjoy this dance. I promise I won’t step on you, so don’t step on . If you are nervous, just look at ."

Fei Chuan rolled his eyes at her. Looking at her would just make him even more nervous. "Just don’t play around."

The music started, and the two began to move along with the others.

Bei Sangyun did not care about the others. Even though she had experienced this hocoming dance, beco the Queen of the Night, and dominated the news the next day, nothing was more important and morable than dancing with this person tonight.

In the previous hocoming dance, she could only watch as he remained seated alone while others were dancing with their partners. She did not even know why he ca in the first place if he wasn’t going to join. He just calmly watched their class dancing on the dance floor and left after they were finished.

She still rembered that back, leaving gloomily as people mocked him.

Bei Sangyun stared at the handso face in front of her. The Fei Chuan right now was very different from that desolate figure. He stood among the crowd, attracting everyone’s attention. He was not sitting alone but dancing with her. Tonight, everyone witnessed the real Fei Chuan.

Bei Sangyun was sincerely happy. This night had changed for both of them.

She smiled and genuinely praised, "You look good in your new haircut. What changed your mind?"

Fei Chuan glanced at her smile and looked away, "...I just don’t want to be looked down on anymore."

"Will you be fine?"

Fei Chuan looked back at her again. Bei Sangyun continued, "You will be on the news tomorrow. So people in the Fei family won’t be happy."

Fei Chuan’s appearance had caused a ruckus. Bei Sangyun expected that a storm would co in Fei Chuan’s way. But it doesn’t matter. She was willing to cover for him. She was about to say that she would take care of it and reassure him not to worry when Fei Chuan replied.

"Since I decided to change my thod, I naturally have so plans. I might have acted timid and low-key, but it doesn’t an I am weak." Fei Chuan stared into her eyes.

Other people could mistake him as weak and cowardly, and he wouldn’t care. But he didn’t want her to think he was weak too.

He wanted to convey through his eyes that he was better than Jang Shin. A lot better than him.

Bei Sangyun looked at him in a daze. She then chuckled. "I get it. Then I wish you luck."

Right. This man had the ans to rent a white phantom. He must have his ways. Since he wants to manage himself, then she could only help behind his back.

The two continued their dance without a mistake. Their eyes were only for each other. They danced through the rhythm, unbothered by everyone; they were in their own world and had each other’s whole attention.

Among the crowd of beautiful and handso couples, one couple stood out. Their movents were graceful and sincere. Even though they were at the corner, they managed to shift the whole crowd’s attention to them.

’A noble prince dancing with a mysterious fairy.’

This is what ca to everyone’s mind as they were captivated by their sweet and sincere dance.
