Talia woke up early along with Arthur. He kept avoiding her eyes for so reason and Talia didn’t understand why.
Arthur indeed was feeling guilty. He tried to stay awake, but his tiredness got the better of him and he ended up sleeping before she fell asleep. But most importantly, he knew he should tell her about what the doctor told him. He didn’t want to tell her yet and that only added to his guilt.
Is it fine for to not tell her?
Talia watched him very silent during breakfast and she thought he was probably occupied thinking about the voting that day. Each waiting mont would be scary since anyone of the board of directors could change their mind or could be coerced to change their decision. They can relax for sure only when the voting is completed.
"I’ll be there before ten," Talia stood on her tiptoes and kissed his lips as she was about to leave. She was going to et Arthur’s father. She knew Arthur hasn’t inford his father yet about her arrival, but she didn’t mind it.
"Okay, you want to pick you up?" Arthur asked but he was reluctant to go back to the hospital as he didn’t want to et that doctor again.
"No need. You seem busy. Take care," Talia waved with a smile and left the room. She was doubtful seeing that guy being not so clingy and she thought it was because his mind is now filled with the voting.
When Talia got to the hospital, the secret service led her through a secured path where no one is allowed and Talia followed silently. Mr. Ed asked them not to let anyone else in until Talia is finished; especially any paps who might have followed them.
"Your Royal Highness, there is already soone speaking with The President now. Can you wait a mont?" the personal aide of the President who was waiting by the door was apologetic.
Talia had gathered that Mr. Ed has already inford the President’s people about her arrival by the way they all reacted and the guest who is in there was an unwelcod guest.
Talia was brought a chair to be seated while she waited and she took it without denying it. She checked her phone and was surprised seeing the post of Arthur’s father. It was a picture of Arthur’s mother smiling looking to her side; probably watching her sons, and the quote, ’Happy sixtieth birthday to the love of my life.’
Talia haven’t seen this picture of his mother before and this seed like a private photograph taken in their ho. Talia could see how her smile resembled Arthur’s or to be precise, it was Arthur who had the sa smile as his mother. The thing that caught her eye was the bracelet his mother was wearing – the sa Iris bracelet Arthur gave her.
As expected, the comnt section blew up with wishes and many have spotted the bracelet and identified it as the sa bracelet Talia wore for the press et.
For Arthur’s father to have deliberately used this picture at this ti when Arthur’s previous engagent was annulled, Talia knew it was his way of announcing the public that he approves of Talia. Talia felt grateful and touched by this gesture by her future father-in-law. She felt protected.
She checked Roderick’s post and a smile blood in her face. Roderick has posted a video of Arthur singing ’I love how you love ’ with Carl and Catherine listening to it. Talia wearing her earpiece listened to the entire song. Arthur was playing a guitar and singing the song, and his lting voice was so pleasant to hear. She could already sense his petty reaction of Arthur to this post as it seed like this video was recorded without his knowledge.
’My mother loved this song and I have vivid mories of my mother singing this song. I was very young then and thought this song was for my brothers and I. It took years to actually realise this song was for my father. This mont was special to as I’ve heard my brother singing it for the first ti.
My mother was gentle as she lived but her love for us all was fierce. She raised us with love and protected us with the gentle warmth in her heart and comforted us with that warm smile of hers. I’m glad I could see the sa smile on my brother.
Mother, I’m glad I got to be your son. There isn’t a day that goes by without not thinking about you. I wish you were here watching my kids as they grow up.
Happy Birthday, mum! You were the best mother anyone could hope for. I miss you.’
Talia was touched. She had read Roderick’s post from ti to ti and she knew he rarely talks about his brother and for him to talk about Arthur in his heartfelt post about his mother, she knew he wants to nd their relationship.
At that ti, the door opened and Talia removed her earpiece. What she heard was an angry voice.
"... That monster that is responsible for your illness is more suitable for your son? You should be a fool to not believe the tiline. Just as she returned, you got sick. She is an ill-on and she should be shunned..."
The guy was speaking loudly and Talia knew who that guy was speaking about. She bowed her head and watched the aide panicking. It seed like her arrival wasn’t inford yet.
"Get out, Mr. Clairemont! We don’t want to hear your insane rambling!" Roderick’s voice interjected the other man’s voice and Talia stopped the aide who was about to inform of her arrival so not to create a drama in front of her.
Talia has never heard Roderick’s voice this cold before and she wanted to hear his words. This is not the first ti she is hearing that she is a monster and that doesn’t an she isn’t hurt hearing it. But these days, she had decided to not think of herself as a jinx and decided to not dwell on that guy’s words.
Mr. Clairmont? This guy’s voice seems young and so this is Sophia’s brother? How predictable!
"I’m not welco? But that b*tch is?"
"Mr. Clairmont, once again, you have no right to badmouth my little sister-in-law." Roderick has now turned his coldness up a notch.
"Samuel, I’d say it was because of her arrival I was able to have a successful surgery. Just leave without making fuzz. You asked for five minutes and ended up complaining about a woman you barely know for half an hour. You should learn so manners. Leave! She’d be here any mont." Gregory had sternness in his voice as if he didn’t want to waste any ti.
Talia was touched by the love she received by Fred’s family. There are a lot of people who love her and she doesn’t have the need to listen to these vile people.
"You people are so quick to defend that monster yet no one dared to move a muscle for my sister who almost killed herself out of rejection. Heh! Secret surgery? See how today’s evening news is about your deteriorating health! The people should know about their President’s health! Let’s see if-"
"Sammy dear," Roderick’s voice was chilly.
"Let go, Rod!" Talia heard a small scuffle inside the room and a couple of guards rushed in. In the small interval of the door opening, Talia saw Roderick holding Samuel by his neck. Samuel was cowering with his back pressed on the wall. Even using both of his hands, Samuel couldn’t loosen Rod’s hold on his neck. Talia was surprised seeing the murderous aura around Roderick.
Guess the Boswell; all of them, does have a nasty temper!
"Your entire family couldn’t win against my little brother. Trust when I say that you don’t want as an enemy too. I’ll make sure you won’t be able to even breathe in this country. Just get out and live in a hole like the rat you are and bring your sister with you! I don’t want to see any of you anywhere in my eyesight!"
Samuel was pushed outside and gritting his teeth, he couldn’t even shout as a couple of guards had pulled out their guns. With a grunt, he fixed his ssed up collar and he noticed Talia sitting there.
"You f*cking b*tch! I’m going to kill you... I’ll kill you right now for taking my sister’s place, you sl*t! F**k you!"
Screaming at her, he tried to lunge at Talia. Mr. Ed covered her and the guards tackled him and pushed him on the floor, cuffing him.
Hearing the noise outside, Roderick ca out and seeing Talia, his face froze for a mont. He composed himself and nodded at her with a smile.
"Arrest him for openly threatening a foreign Princess right in front of the President and endangering the lives of everyone by bringing a gun!" Roderick with no ripples in his face spoke and the guards dragged him out.
"Where’s the gun?" Talia asked Roderick and he looked at her for three seconds without saying anything.
"I’m not framing him, Talia. He did bring a gun which the security got from him before he t with dad. He shouldn’t have brought the gun inside a hospital." He explained and Talia didn’t know if she should believe him or not.
Whatever!
