"She’s a grown woman. She can handle herself. She also has two people with weapons guarding her. Don’t worry," Joe told Rebecca who stared at the back of Talia who walked towards Rachel and her father.
He wasn’t pleased to see that worry apparent in his wife’s eyes. She always cares more for her friend.
Rebecca blinked her eyes and looked at Joe who had his eyes trained on her. Maybe because she missed him, she found him more handso, even though she could see the tiredness in his face.
"Becky... I..." Joe gulped trying to convince her to coback. But seeing her not ready to talk, he didn’t want to force her. Everything in him wanted to just grab her and lock her in his house, but he can’t be overbearing with her.
"Last night, I t with Samuel Russell," Joe changed the topic and scrolled through his phone. With a smile he showed her the phone, sitting across her at the table.
Rebecca’s eyes widened with surprise seeing that video. Her eyes darted to Joe who was looking at her with a proud smile. She really couldn’t believe that her proud husband who thinks that asking for an autograph from a celebrity is akin to begging, actually got a video ssage from her favourite celebrity.

Rebecca’s eyes misted a bit watching the video of the actor speaking in Joe’s phone and her hands extended unconsciously, to get his phone. When her slender fingers gripped his phone and tried to grab it, she felt the phone still held on by Joe tightly. His fingers grazed hers and as if she touched an open fire, she retracted her hand.
Joe felt his heart getting heavy seeing Rebecca retracting her hand like that. He looked at his fingers that were happy for just a mont as they ca in contact with his wife’s soft fingers.
Does she despise that much she couldn’t even bear the accidental touch of my fingers?
Rebecca herself was surprised by the overt reaction she gave. It was just his fingers. It’s not like she would lose sothing touching his fingers.
"Why are you in the fra too?" Rebecca said with a slight pout trying to change the awkward situation between them.
Throughout the video, Joe was at the centre with the actor at the edge of the screen with his face barely visible.
"Do you want the video?" Joe asked scratching the back of his head. He did want to get a video ssage from that actor for his wife like Talia advised. But then imagining his wife with a silly grin on her face - watching and even kissing the screen of her phone, he felt extrely jealous. And so he occupied the better part of the screen. In case his wife wanted to kiss that guy, he’d get the kiss... Even through her phone screen.
Was it pathetic? Yes! But he was willing to go any distance to get his wife back. He should get her to unblock him first. Then he’d move closer to her and convince her little by little to take him back.
"I’ll send it to you," he continued, seeing his wife looking at his phone, eagerly. He was willing to give her this video even though she wants to ogle that actor. He is still there in the video... It’s okay if that actor was sowhere in the side. If she wants to drool over that actor, she has to look at his face too.
Rebecca was looking at his phone. Her thoughts were different. She liked that actor very much; even loved him. She had even joked to Joe in the past that of that guy shows a little interest in her, she’d leave Joe for that actor.
But looking at the video in Joe’s phone... Why does her eyes linger at Joe? He looked so handso in that suit; even more than that actor she adored. Why does she want that video, not for that actor, but for Joe?
Her heart was filled with bitterness when Joe left her ho that day after he said that he believed Rachel more than her. Didn’t she decide then that she’d never get back together with him? That it is worthless to be holding her love for him, since he never believed her when she needed him to?
Still why?
That letter... He reminded her of all the good tis they had. He had rembered all the important dates in their relationship. She thought he was not a sentintal guy; soone who cared for nothing. She thought he didn’t forget all their anniversaries because she reminded him each ti. So, she was wrong and he rembered all of it after all?
There were so loud noises coming from Rachel, but both of them didn’t care and Rebecca was surprised the whole ti Joe was entirely concentrating on her, without even a little distraction.
"Unblock ," Joe looked at Rebecca and his eyes shone with seriousness as he looked at his phone and his fingers danced around over the screen. "I’ll send it to you."
"Send it via bluetooth," Rebecca said realising what this guy was saying. She was not stupid to not realise that this guy is trying to hold this video as a hostage and asking her to unblock him as a ranso.
"My phone broke. Bluetooth is not working and all other sharing apps aren’t working either. Only if you unblock , I can-"
His lengthy excuse was interrupted by that loud slap and the shout of Rachel’s father.
