When Jero Brunton was inford that Jonathan Cooper was seen in Esteria and might be involved in Talia’s kidnapping that year, Jero spoke in detail about that incident. It was Joanna Cooper who was the daughter of Obediah Cooper who orchestrated the kidnapping and Jonathan Cooper had left Esteria even before the kidnapping and so no one suspected him. No one even knew him as Obediah’s son either since he used an alias while in Esteria.

Apparently Joanna demanded that she wanted her father’s assets to be unfrozen since she is not the one who did wrong. But Jero was adamantly opposed to that idea since it was against the law. Then she demanded a large amount of money which Jero agreed to, but then Joanna snapped and threatened to hurt Talia nonetheless and Jero had to go in the offence. Cyrus successfully rescued Talia.

But why did no one searched for other family mbers of Obediah Cooper? How did they miss that? If they did, they might have found out about Jonathan, won’t they? But then... They were in witness protection program and so their details must have been protected by A Country?

Could be! Or did soone protect Jonathan?

When Arthur asked Jero what happened to Joanna afterwards, Jero just clenched his teeth as he was still angry thinking about that woman. He said that that woman was the reason Talia developed fear for needles and she killed herself in police custody. Arthur could only imagine Joanna died a terrible death and out of curiosity, he checked the police records. Apparently, she bit herself and died! Like that could happen!

"Talia...?"

"She’s safe. In fact, Stacy tried to get her and she was shot to death by -"

"You. Dared. To. Put. Her. Life. In. Danger?" Arthur was relieved Talia is safe, but he knew they must have succeeded by putting her life at risk.

Cyril just chuckled. "We succeeded. Now we got who we wanted."

" Wait...Jonathan Cooper is dead? "Arthur rubbed his forehead and asked. He knew there is no use crying over spilled milk. And if Talia’s safe that’s enough for now. He can deal with Cyril when he ets him face to face.

" Yeah, we got him and tried to extract truths from him but unfortunately he couldn’t handle our investigation and died in a heart attack. But we got enough. Apparently, Jared Cooper and Jonathan Cooper are half-brothers. Jared was raised by his mother and he got connected with the dark contacts Obediah had and when Obediah got indicted, he paved his own way as a don of the underworld! And now we got them all!" Cyril was excited.

"If Jonathan asked Talia to cross the creek... Then is it possible the death of Maria Brunton..." Arthur really hoped his uncle was not responsible for Talia’s mothers death. He knew it could be a vain hope, but he wished it was true.

"Nope! That’s on Nicholas Sinclair, No doubt! Both of them shared so drinks together, but Nicholas is totally responsible for Maria’s death. Jonathan might have used the opportunity to manipulate Talia to her death, but he had no hand in ambushing Maria. We investigated everyone who shot at Maria and they were all your grandfather’s and uncle’s people." Cyril interrupted and he was so sure of it. If they had even doubted there might be others involved in Maria’s death, they would have investigated till they find the truth.

" And Cyrus... " Arthur asked.

" We...", Cyril’s voice trembled for a mont, " We couldn’t find out for sure anymore. The investigations are taken over by A-Country since he is their citizen and there are many active case on him. Since Cyrus’ case is a cold case, they won’t prioritise it now. But the officials have promised to reveal any details about situations related to our country. I know I’ve found my brother’s killer and as for motives and other details... I guess we just have to wait a little longer." Cyril let out a deep breath.

" Hmm... "Arthur took a puff from his cigar. He should be happy that everything is settled and Talia won’t be in danger anymore. But why is he feeling uneasy?

"There was soone who tried to fra my suicide here soti before," Arthur said. He could feel sothing is not connecting.

"Really?" Cyril asked in a contemplating tone.

"I’m planning on bringing him to Esteria to interrogate. What do you think?"

"That’s a good idea. If he is one of Jared Cooper’s people, we can gather information from him." Cyril said. "You think this is not over?"

"Yes, sothing is missing. We miss sothing. What did the Rosandale people said?"

"Nothing much, except that she’s safe and everything went as we planned. I’m not convinced and have asked soone to get all the footages around the house she is staying, when everything went down. I want to find my brother’s killer; the real one!" Cyril said with determination. He didn’t want to just accept whatever he was told. He felt like that Sir Robert was hiding sothing.

" I want to have a eting with her. I don’t care even if it is in public. Talk to them for , "Arthur asked.

" Ask your assistant to make the schedules. Why should I- " Cyril was angered that Arthur asked him to do his work. Is he his secretary?

" I’m not a noble and neither is my assistant! "Arthur interrupted. The responses he gets from that side are not that good. In a way, he didn’t want his Iris to be close with those Rosandale Royals.

"Fine, I’ll see what I can do," Cyril understood Arthur. They don’t give enough respect to him ; a noble and he could only imagine the respect Arthur gets.

Ah, the troubles a man go through for a woman! Thankfully his woman’s family adores him!

"Arthur, my partner wanted to et Talia and I’ve fixed the lunch appointnt with Sir Robert. She’ll be in the Capital City during the signing of the deal. Maybe you can-"

"Fine. Send the ti and details." Arthur was pleased. He didn’t have to et her for long, but he needed to speak with her for a short ti before she leaves for Rosandale." Wait... Partner? "

Arthur was surprised. This Cyril got himself a lover too? Why is everyone having a lover?

" Yes, I’m getting married next winter," Cyril said since his woman wanted him to tell everyone about their wedding. "Jordan didn’t tell you?"

"Jordan? No... Married? " Arthur was more surprised. No wonder Jordan never was with a woman before. So things are developing like this? So this is why Jordan seed much closer with Cyril.

How does that work anyway? That Cyrus screwed anyone wearing a skirt and Cyril likes n! Both are brothers but exactly opposite.

"Congratulations!" Arthur added although he was still shocked. It seems like he is the only one without a lover by his side.

Oh, Iris! Even Jordan has popped his cherry. I haven’t!

"Jordan didn’t tell he’s going to et Talia, " Arthur in his confused state thought out loud.

"Why would Jordan et Talia?" Cyril chuckled, "Vivian is so intrigued with Talia since she got her a piece of cloth for the wedding gown. I didn’t know why that’s a big deal but apparently it is! And so..."

Cyril went on with his talk as he needed soone to vent and Arthur was stunned.

So it is Vivian McAllister, Cyril is going to marry and not Jordan? He could have said Girlfriend. Why did he say ’partner’ and confuse ?

Arthur wondered why the Mcallister family, especially the defence minister is extrely supportive of Talia. So my Iris got the support of McAllister family with a pice of white cloth as Cyril says?

Iris, my sweet Iris! You now got the support of Wallace family and the McAllister family! If what Cyril says is true and I have no more surveillance over , I can fast forward my plans!
