719: 725 719: 725 “Having no choice ans you have to agree whether you like it or not,”

“or to put it another way, you have to do it whether you dare or are forced to.”

If Jethro didn’t agree, what Yang Yi had to do was actually quite simple, but it would an a complete fallout, and he really didn’t want to go that far.

After pondering for a mont, Jethro looked at Yang Yi and slowly nodded, saying in a deep voice, “All right, we’ll take out Ferdinand.”

Knowing where Ferdinand was hiding, his phone number, the guard strength by his side, and the car he usually drove, if they still couldn’t eliminate Ferdinand, then the Organization of Water should just quit the ga.

Big Ivan’s n seed too formidable; just looking at them could crush one’s courage to confront, but now facing Ferdinand, Yang Yi not only felt no pressure but was full of confidence instead.

It’s truly disheartening to compare people with others.

In Yang Yi’s mind, the Fearless rcenary Corps had always been a top-tier presence, and the thought of battling it alone made him feel imnse pressure.

However, after witnessing those n’s performance, Yang Yi suddenly felt that it’s no wonder the Fearless rcenary Corps was just rubbish.

The Fearless rcenary Corps was certainly not rubbish, but it felt like it in stark contrast to the others.

Just then, Yang Yi heard Hans’s urgent cry through his headset.

“The drone is being interfered with, our drone has been discovered!

Warning!

Our drone has been discovered!”

Yang Yi didn’t have ti to explain in detail to Jethro; he turned and ran back to the intelligence room.

Watching Yang Yi hurry away, Jethro shrugged with complex emotions and then sat back down.

Yang Yi rushed back to the intelligence room and asked anxiously, “What’s going on?”

Brian pointed at the display and said in a grave voice, “The drone has been detected; it’s trying to escape.”

“Where is it?

Who has detected it?”

Yang Yi had just stepped out for a brief conversation, not even three minutes, and the drone was discovered.

But what concerned him now was who had detected the drone.

If it was the Ukrainian forces responsible for air defense of vital areas that had discovered it, it would be sowhat better, but if it had been detected by Big Ivan’s n, it would spell trouble.

The drones they purchased this ti were very advanced in performance.

Even though they were mini drones, they were equipped with all the necessary functions, including an alarm for when they were locked onto by fire control radar.

Hans’s voice ca through the walkie-talkie again in an urgent tone, “Fire control radar lock-on warning: should we continue tracing or retrieve the drone?”

The purpose of fire control radar is to guide missiles or shells in accurately targeting enemy aircraft by continuously emitting signals to track their exact positions.

Different countries have different wavelengths for their fire control radar, but there are only a few suitable wavelengths for fire control radars.

Hence, if a wavelength fit for fire control radar repeatedly irradiates a target, triggering an alarm is certainly the correct response.

Now that the drone had issued a fire control radar lock-on warning, it ant that it wouldn’t be long before an attack from anti-aircraft guns or missiles would be incoming.

But this was an urban area; even if air defense radar detected a small drone flying ambiguously over sensitive governnt departnts, the anti-air defense wouldn’t launch missiles.

Those are designed for taking down large aircraft like fighter jets and bombers.

Shoulder-launched anti-aircraft missiles were out of the question as well, because those missiles typically use infrared homing warheads with passive guidance, which have no fire control radar.

Now, the control of micro and small drones poses a headache for countries all over the world, and the most viable way to deal with them is by designating no-fly zones to keep any flying objects at bay.

Without much hesitation, Brian said in a deep voice, “Continue the tracking!

Even if it gets shot down, do not give up.

But keep a greater distance from the target to avoid detection of the drone.”

The loss of a drone was bearable, but discovery by the surveillance target was an unacceptable risk, so Brian preferred the drone be destroyed rather than retrieved.

He also ordered the drone to maintain a greater distance from the target.

“The target vehicle is still under surveillance, but the distance might be too far and we could lose it.

We’re currently driving and following the drone, so it’s very likely we’ll lose sight of the target,” soone reported.

After listening to Hans, Brian said solemnly, “It doesn’t matter, follow it to the last mont.”

After speaking, Brian turned to Yang Yi and asked in a deep voice, “How did it go with Jethro?”

“He agreed, but if the drone loses the target…”

Brian stood up and shook his head, “No problem, it doesn’t matter if we lose it.

We can set off now to take out Ferdinand.

Black Lightning, this place is yours now.”

The individuals from the intelligence room surged out.

Yang Yi said to Jethro, “Let’s go.

We’ll wait for him on the route Ferdinand has to take, call him after we’ve set the ambush.”

Jethro unemotionally nodded and responded, “Alright, let’s go.”

Yang Yi didn’t dare to look directly into Jethro’s eyes.

By now, there was no use hiding anymore.

Maybe Jethro did not know his true identity and purpose yet, but he must know the protectee’s role was not that simple.

Yang Yi was out of Jethro’s control now.

As long as this was understood, more explanations were aningless, so it was better to say nothing at all.

To preserve the last layer of veil between them and to avoid reaching the point of imdiate confrontation was preferable.

While walking out with Jethro, Yang Yi whispered, “We must arrange for Boyata to leave imdiately.

Big Ivan has started to strike back; we can’t wait for him to find Boyata.”

Everyone related to Deyo was in danger, so Boyata’s situation was not very secure.

Yang Yi’s words were well-intended—he didn’t wish to see Boyata, lying in a hospital bed, get his throat cut, and if Boyata got taken away, the outco would be even worse since he knew too much information.

Jethro pulled out his phone and said softly, “Where should we send him…”

“Kiev.

Send Boyata to Kiev as fast as possible; let our new doctor take care of him.

Unless you have a better choice.

If you don’t, it’s safer to keep him close to us.

If we succeed, there’s nothing to say, and if we fail, we will have to leave Ukraine imdiately, of course taking Boyata with us.”

As he spoke, Yang Yi had already put on his bulletproof vest and helt.

After a mont’s thought, Jethro finally nodded, “Okay, let’s send him to Kiev first.”

Brian was going to join the battle personally.

It was ti to lay all cards on the table; there was no need to hold back anymore, nor was it possible to.

Everyone got into the vehicles and rushed toward Ferdinand’s residence at top speed, until they found a suitable crossroad for an ambush.

Setting up an ambush certainly required so arrangents, but the situation was urgent.

Ferdinand could receive an alert at any mont, or he might already know what transpired, so there was no ti to wait.

Yang Yi said to Jethro in a low voice, “Here is good.

You can call Ferdinand now.”
