399: Chapter 387 Dinner 399: Chapter 387 Dinner The snowmobile continued to travel, and then it arrived at the valley floor between the hills.

Scattered in the little valley were a dozen or so wooden cabins of various sizes, one of which was a large cabin with lights on.

The snowmobile stopped in front of that large cabin, then Pasanin turned off the snowmobile and opened the door.

“We’re here, please.”

Still, it took two people to help Yang Yi off the vehicle; he was truly weak, so much so that Pasanin frowned as he watched him being helped down.

Yang Yi didn’t go straight into the warm cabin; he waited for everyone carrying luggage to get off.

Pasanin still maintained his gentlemanly deanor.

When he saw Xiao Ran carrying a long, large case, he silently extended his hand, indicating he wanted to help her with it.

Unfortunately, Xiao Ran never let anyone carry her gun for her, so after receiving a polite refusal, Pasanin did not show any reaction but went ahead to open the cabin door.

Upon entering, Yang Yi saw a very large cabin with a very long table inside.

The design and color of the table were quite simple—it was made from large pine planks pieced together, and instead of chairs, there were wooden stools on both sides.

The big dining table could accommodate thirty or forty people eating together, but when Yang Yi and the others arrived, there was no one inside, which ant that vast place was solely inhabited by Pasanin.

There was a fireplace in the dining room.

The fire had died down, and Pasanin began to take off his heavy coat, then hung it on a hook on the cabin wall.

Without speaking, Pasanin did what he needed to do, while Yang Yi and the others just watched.

Hats, gloves, overcoats, then another thick sweater; in the end, Pasanin was left with only a close-fitting knitted sweater.

Pasanin’s sweater was very distinctive, with its biggest feature being that it was tattered.

It was loose and baggy, which was one thing, but there was a large hole under the right armpit, and every ti Pasanin raised his arm, his armpit would show.

The front hem also had a large tear, and the right sleeve was even missing a chunk.

If one only looked at Pasanin’s sweater, he would seem like a completely destitute person.

Pasanin went to the pile of firewood beside the fireplace, picked up a stack of logs, and threw them into the fire one by one.

After clapping his hands clean, he then saw the group of people still standing inside the cabin.

“Uh…”

After a mont of silence, Pasanin said in a deep voice, “It’s been a long ti since there were so many people here.

You can do as you please; don’t wait for to entertain you.”

Outside was very cold, but the house was quite warm.

Kate helped Yang Yi take off his coat and hung it on the wall, but she didn’t dare let Yang Yi wear just a single layer as Pasanin did.

anwhile, Brian and Paul wasted no ti taking off their coats, and then the two of them sat at the dining table wearing just a T-shirt.

Pasanin muttered to himself, “It’s dinner ti now, and I’ve already prepared dinner.”

With that, Pasanin walked a few steps to the side, opened a cupboard, and took out a stack of plates, then began to distribute them in front of everyone.

After placing the plates and cutlery, Pasanin quietly went and picked up a big basin, then started to dish out its contents onto the plates—it looked like salad.

After putting salad in each plate, Pasanin then got a large frying pan and began to place steak onto the plates.

Finally, Kate couldn’t hold back any longer, and she said loudly, “Can I help?”

Pasanin was startled for a mont, then shook his head, “Oh, no need, I can manage by myself.”

When each person’s plate had a steak on it, cooked in oil, Pasanin then took a large basket of rye bread and placed it on the dining table.

Finally sitting down at the dining table, Pasanin took a seat, then reached out for a piece of bread and said, “Please enjoy your al.”

Kate handed a piece of bread to Yang Yi.

Yang Yi still couldn’t eat normally, but he could manage small amounts of food now, as long as he avoided anything too greasy.

He bit into the bread, which was sour and very hard, unpalatable.

After swallowing the bread, Yang Yi used a fork to pick up so white paste-like substance, presumably salad, and tasted it.

It was sowhat sweet, sowhat stinky, and also a bit sour, seeming like a mix of potatoes and cheese, quite unpalatable.

Yang Yi swallowed hard, then he cut a small piece of the at chop with his knife and fork and put it into his mouth.

It was supposedly reindeer at, but the seasoning poured on the at chop was jam, an indescribable flavor, extrely unpalatable.

Yang Yi couldn’t eat any more, he looked at the others.

Brian and Paul were enjoying their al, Chris and Rodriguez, with taste buds trained in prison, had an exceptional ability to adapt, and Kate seed to be managing, at least she wasn’t unable to swallow.

But Yang Yi, Xiao Ran, and Zhang Yong truly couldn’t stomach it.

Zhang Yong was better off, his expression made it clear that he found the food unpalatable, but he was eating quickly; as for Yang Yi, he really couldn’t eat the contents of his plate without a change in his expression.

In comparison, the black bread was considered more palatable.

After taking a few bites, Pasanin finally initiated a conversation.

“Do you three have injuries?”

Brian and Yang Yi’s injuries were quite serious, it was obvious they were injured, but Paul looked about the sa as a normal person, so it was unexpected that Pasanin noticed.

Brian smiled, “Yes, the three of us have injuries.”

Pasanin nodded and said, “Then you can’t train.”

Brian thought Pasanin would continue, but after he spoke, Pasanin went silent again.

Just then, Zhang Yong suddenly asked, “Why did Aurora disband?”

Pasanin looked at Zhang Yong and shook his head, “Aurora hasn’t disbanded, Aurora will never disband, we just retired, but it’s not a dissolution.”

Zhang Yong stuffed a piece of reindeer at into his mouth, then he loudly said, “Are you the only one here?”

“Yes.”

Zhang Yong laughed and said, “Then your retirent life must be boring.

Such a big place, all by yourself, how dull.”

Pasanin shook his head and said, “No, I think it’s okay, I like living here, the city makes uncomfortable.”

After he finished speaking, Pasanin quickly added another sentence, his voice heavy, “But sotis it indeed gets boring, so I didn’t think much before agreeing to Justin’s request, uh, I believe I haven’t given a welcoming speech yet.

Welco to all of you for coming here.”

Brian said gravely, “We have so new recruits that need training, may I ask when can we start training them.”

Chris’s eating paused for a mont, he gave Brian a complicated look, and then continued eating the food on his plate.

Pasanin indifferently said, “Anyti you wish, we can start right after this al if you’re ready.”

Upon hearing Pasanin’s words, Chris could no longer eat.

He looked up at the window, his face filled with horror.
