With a gun in hand, Yang Yi felt slightly more at ease.

His random shooting skills managed to shine today. Although most of the ti, Yang Yi’s shooting was far from reliable, in certain situations, he could be eerily accurate.

Otherwise, why would it be called random shooting, right?

Explosions and gunfights were bound to alarm many people, but the more commotion there was, the more disadvantageous it was for Yang Yi because the cleaning crew’s infiltration of the FBI was too severe, to the extent that Yang Yi had to consider the FBI and the cleaning crew as one entity.

Yang Yi pulled Petra into the elevator, then pressed the button for the underground parking level, but as the elevator neared the first floor, he pressed the third-floor button instead.

After the elevator stopped on the third floor, Yang Yi exited, dragging Petra into the safety passage, then went up two more floors, finally arriving at the door of an apartnt on the fifth floor.

Yang Yi and Petra lived in a luxury apartnt in New York, but unlike other places, Manhattan’s land was expensive, and sprawling standalone villas were virtually unseen. Rich people considered it fortunate to live in such large apartnts.

Petra didn’t quite understand Yang Yi’s actions, but she stayed silent, only following Yang Yi. It wasn’t until they reached the apartnt on the fifth floor, and Yang Yi started entering a password on a lock without hesitation, that Petra looked on in wide-eyed shock.

The door quickly opened, and Yang Yi darted inside, turned on the light, then pulled Petra in before closing the door.

Considering Yang Yi’s wealth and caution, wasn’t it only normal for him to purchase an apartnt where he often stayed as a safe house?

Everything here looked no different from a normal ho, but it housed everything Yang Yi needed. Right now, he just needed a place to hide.

"Why do you have a house here?"

Petra was still very surprised. Yang Yi shrugged and said in a low voice, "It’s simple, because I’m a CIA agent."

Petra looked at Yang Yi with puzzled shock, and Yang Yi gestured dismissively, saying, "Don’t look at like that, it’s quite normal."

"I increasingly can’t understand you. You live with , yet you have a house ready here. What are you planning to do?"

"To handle a situation like this."

After speaking, Yang Yi pointed at Petra and said in a low voice, "Stop worrying about these minor issues, they’re not important. What’s important is that we’re in great danger now, and this is our best hiding spot."

Yang Yi led Petra into the bedroom, opened the closet, and pointed to a row of won’s clothing, "Pick one in your size and put it on."

"Why do you have so many won’s clothes here..."

Yang Yi pointed a finger at his own head and made two circles, "Think a bit and you wouldn’t ask such questions, hurry up!"

He opened the nearby cabinet, hesitant for a mont, then pulled on a bulletproof vest, but imdiately took it off again.

Setting aside the gun he had seized, Yang Yi retrieved two submachine guns from the gun cabinet, laid out a pistol and so magazines, then changed into different clothes.

Petra had put on a dress, and Yang Yi looked her over, saying, "That’s good, we’ll go with this one. Don’t move, let do your makeup."

"Makeup? At this ti? Alright, I’ll do it myself..."

"No, let ."

Yang Yi took hold of Petra’s hand, took out a set of makeup supplies, and started applying them to Petra’s face.

With her eyes open, Petra watched Yang Yi and suddenly said, "Why do you seem to know more about makeup than I do?"

"Different professions, different needs. Don’t move, don’t speak."

Carefully placing fillers on Petra’s face, he then applied powder, used blush, and after three minutes, Yang Yi said softly, "It’s rushed, but it should suffice."

Yang Yi stood up and left, while Petra eagerly approached the mirror, where she was astonished to find a completely unfamiliar woman.

Her sharp face had beco round, at a glance, even Petra couldn’t recognize herself.

Yang Yi went over to the side, picked up the phone, dialed Bonnie again, and said urgently, "Tell them, I was attacked and nearly died. I don’t care what their reason is, but I’m with Petra. If they insist on killing Petra, they’ll have to step over my dead body."

Yang Yi felt he had to let the cleaning crew know his determination, as he suspected whether internal communication within the cleaning crew was really that poor. It had been half an hour, and the cleaning crew still hadn’t managed to relay information internally.

Bonnie said softly, "I haven’t received any response yet, I’ll make another call now."

"Okay, repeat my words verbatim."

Yang Yi hung up the phone, then called Anton.

"Old Devil, I’m in the rabbit hole, hurry and co support , things aren’t looking good for , got it?"

Anton replied in a low voice, "Got it, I’ll be there right away."

After the call, Yang Yi checked the ti, pondered for a mont, then returned to Petra, put on the bulletproof vest again, slung one of the submachine guns over his shoulder, and took a Glock 17 pistol in hand.

At this mont, to Petra, Yang Yi was a complete stranger.

Watching Yang Yi, Petra said in a low voice, "You..."

"Hmm, what?"

Petra shook her head and said, "Why don’t we leave this building? You just made a call to ask for help from colleagues, right? But why don’t we call the police or seek help from my father?"

"It’s unreliable to seek help from anyone now, also, we can’t leave here because we can at least gain so safety ti here. In this place, they’d have to send several very skilled individuals to kill , but outside, even an average sniper could kill you, or just a few ordinary gunn could, fighting is not my strong suit."

After speaking, Yang Yi checked his watch again. It had already been half an hour, and Bonnie had still not replied.

Yang Yi waited another minute, and Petra whispered, "Shouldn’t we turn off the lights?"

Yang Yi shook his head, "No, the explosion made a big commotion just now. This building should have woken everyone up, having the lights on is normal."

"There are fire trucks and police cars outside. There are so many people, are we still unsafe?"

Yang Yi nodded, "Yes, the more people there are, the more dangerous it is."

Another two minutes passed, and Yang Yi began feeling fatigued, his hands beginning to tremble slightly. His peak period had passed, and the side effects of a massive adrenaline surge were beginning to manifest.

Yang Yi sighed, opened a drawer, took out a pre-filled syringe, tore open the packaging, and injected it into his arm without hesitation.

Petra exclaid in surprise, "What are you doing?"

Yang Yi said resignedly, "A stimulant. For the next thirty-six hours, I won’t be able to sleep."
