Chapter 1434: Furious

Editor: Henyee Translations

The Emperor expressed his satisfaction with a nod. “Choose a suitable family for her, and I’ll provide a marriage and dowry!”

Honored Princess Mei couldn’t contain her joy and giggled. “I’ll remember your words, Emperor! On behalf of Shanshan, I express my gratitude to you.”

The Emperor laughed heartily. “I hold a special place in my heart for that girl too.”

Honored Princess Mei continued to shower the Emperor with flattering words, making him laugh even more. He was in high spirits.

This was precisely why the Emperor favored Honored Princess Mei the most. Even if she occasionally acted unreasonably or was rude to the Queen, he turned a blind eye to it.

Honored Princess Mei had a unique talent for tactfulness. Being with her was always fortable and carefree. As long as he was in good spirits, he cared little about the suffering of others.

That evening, Honored Princess Mei sent a message to Princess Shuangfu, requesting her not to disclose Tian Shanshan’s plan to acpany her to the wedding to anyone.

Princess Shuangfu readily agreed, as she hadn’t intended to reveal it in the first place.

Upon receiving the confirmation, Qiao Xuan finally felt at ease. She was preparing to depart in a few days, having already packed her clothes and belongings, leaving her with some free time.

Shao Yunduan remained occupied. As the envoy, he needed to acquaint himself with various customs and protocols. He had been studying diligently since the imperial decree was issued, but he still had much to learn.

Occasionally, Prince of Qingdi sought his advice on Great Qin’s culture and invited him on outings. In the past, he would have found countless excuses to decline the prince’s invitations. However, given their uping extended journey, he realized it was beneficial to foster a better relationship, so he no longer turned him down.

As a result, his schedule became even more hectic.

In the Tian household, Tian Shanshan vented her frustration by angrily smashing a teacup.

Her pretty face was livid.

She had always carried an air of gentleness and elegance, never allowing her temper to flare so fiercely. The maids in the room, overwhelmed by fear, maintained a hushed silence, not daring to breathe audibly.

Tian Shanshan’s anger was not only palpable but also mingled with a deep sense of humiliation. Her disdain extended not only to Qiao Xuan but also to Princess Shuangfu.

Qiao Xuan, yet again!

In her eyes, she couldn’t fathom how she fell short pared to that woman. Why had even Princess Shuangfu chosen her? This was almost unbearable for the typically prideful Tian Shanshan.

Tears welled up in her eyes and trickled down her porcelain-like face. Leaning against the table, she sobbed softly. She hadn’t anticipated this failure.

One day, she chanced upon Shao Yunduan shopping with Qiao Xuan. His tenderness and attention towards her, bined with Qiao Xuan’s radiant smile, were like a dagger through her heart. The surge of envy felt like a volcanic eruption, clouding her judgment.

Intense emotions prompted her to take action. She insisted on acpanying Princess Shuangfu for her wedding. She refused to believe she couldn’t win back the man she could never forget, piece by piece.

How could she accept losing to the daughter of a concubine who had lost her mother at a young age and lacked proper upbringing?

But what cruel twist of fate! Qiao Xuan seemed to effortlessly attain everything she desired. Was that woman born solely to thwart her and bring her ill luck?

Tian Shanshan seethed with anger. In a matter of two days, she visited the palace to confront Honored Princess Mei. She barged into Princess Shuangfu’s bedroom, taunting her and even pushing her deliberately, leaving a scrape on Princess Shuangfu’s palm.
