A new emperor ans a new minister is needed!

In the blink of an eye, people were scrambling for official positions, while many were being demoted.

Although so officials from the previous dynasty remained in the court, countless newcors were being promoted.

It was impossible for the old guard not to harbor resentnt.

They had no choice but to swallow their anger.

Though they lacked the courage or ans to cause trouble themselves, they were eager for any disruption caused by others.

Especially the forr Princess Consort!

Shao Yunduan, once a trusted ally of the forr Crown Prince, was now faced with the spectacle of the Princess Consort causing a stir. It promised to be quite a show...

Shao Yunduan’s eyes darkened.

With a relentless stream of daily responsibilities, everything seed to land on his desk.

Just when he finally had a mont to spend with Qiao Xuan, he was surprised to find the forr Princess Consort, who was under house arrest by the Fourth Prince, in the midst of it all.

However, this oversight was seized upon by soone with ulterior motives, who now urged her to create a scene.

Shao Yunduan intended to uncover the culprit, but he had to address the current situation first.

The Princess Consort was reckless and impulsive. Having been under house arrest for so long, with her family ruined and her status fallen from grace, she was certainly not to be underestimated.

What she would say next was uncertain, but she was already at the palace gates, so Shao Yunduan had no choice but to et with her.

"Invite her in."

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

The Princess Consort stord in with her grandson—the only remaining male descendant of the late Crown Prince.

The child, only eight years old, had been under house arrest since he was even younger. His small size had been his only advantage in surviving.

As she entered the main hall of Qianqing Palace, the Princess Consort saw Shao Yunduan seated on the throne, clad in a dragon robe and golden crown, his expression stern and serious.

When Shao Yunduan’s deep, dark eyes t hers, the Princess Consort suddenly felt a jolt of fear, her heart skipping a beat.

Realizing her involuntary reaction, she grew angry. She pulled her young grandson in front of her and glared at Shao Yunduan. "Shao Yunduan, you traitor! You’ve usurped the empire! How could you betray the Crown Prince, who favored you, promoted you, and protected you? Is this how you repay him?"

"If you have even a shred of conscience, co down! That throne is not for you!"

Tears began to flow as she held her grandson tightly.

The child, who had been under house arrest since he was too young to rember much, had rarely seen the outside world. Now, dragged into the grand and crowded throne room, he was overwheld and terrified.

His face went pale as he was pulled in, and the harsh words from the Princess Consort made him tremble and cry.

The Princess Consort welcod his tears, thinking of the late Crown Prince and the heartless princes, and the grievances she had suffered over the years. The more she thought about it, the more upset she beca, her cries growing louder.

However, it was unfortunate that half of the court consisted of Shao Yunduan’s trusted aides and newly promoted officials, while the other half were the old ministers of the Fourth Prince and neutral parties.
