Chapter 2059: Think About It

However, Lvying’s disappointnt simred beneath the surface when her mistress rejected her.

Yet, she concealed her emotions, leading them to believe the issue had been resolved. Who would have thought she still harbored resentnt?

Given the opportunity, she struck back at Miss.

Her belief that eliminating Miss would grant her desires was naive…

Naturally, the words of an envious and delusional servant lacked credibility!

Was General Shao inclined to trust the words of such a lowly servant over the Young Miss? It saddened the Young Miss deeply.

Tang Fanghua choked back tears, closing her eyes in sorrow. Tears stread down her face, a picture of vulnerability, yet amidst her weakness, she managed to command Lvi, “Lvi, cease your words!”

Yuan Mi rolled her eyes in exasperation.

Qiao Xuan shot a aningful glance at Tang Fanghua before addressing Lvi, “Should I arrange for your interrogation by soone skilled? How long do you think you can hold out?”

Lvi’s heart skipped a beat, her body turning cold as if plunged into an icy abyss!

Tang Fanghua was jolted by the realization! She knew it all along. She shouldn’t have let her compassion cloud her judgnt by keeping these two individuals. Clearly, they were troublemakers she should have dismissed long ago.

“Madam Shao, you’re disregarding the court’s protocols! Why have you taken Lvi without cause? Do you intend to extract a confession through torture? Qi, are you willing to entertain such a notion?”

Qi’s voice was barely above a whisper, “I can discern the truth behind a coerced confession.”

Qiao Xuan scoffed, “We’re in Anze Province, and I have the authority to detain anyone I please. What can you possibly do to stop ? I’m keen to hear your maid’s testimony. Whose account holds more weight, Lvi and Lvying’s or your feeble protestations?”

Tang Fanghua felt faint. She murmured, “This is unacceptable. You can’t do this…”

Suddenly, Qi interjected, “You’ve been evasive and contentious, haven’t you? Now, I’m offering you a chance to prove yourself. If you truly rescued , then tell , what dicine did you use to dress my left leg?”

“Rember when you questioned why I believed Lvying without hesitation? It’s because of this. The person who saved applied a bandage to staunch the bleeding. Was that you? If you were the one who saved , you wouldn’t have forgotten, would you?”

Tang Fanghua instinctively averted her gaze. At this mont, Qi could already conclude that she wasn’t his rescuer at all.

Shao Yunduan snapped, “Miss Tang, what’s with the hesitation? If you dare claim mory loss, I’ll have soone torture both you and your maid! I won’t tolerate such deceitful and shaless behavior!”

Yuan Mi interjected with sarcasm, “Clearly, she’s at a loss. Naturally, she can’t admit it! Perhaps she’s deliberating, weighing her options before taking a gamble. Who knows, she might genuinely want to feign forgetfulness.”

Tang Fanghua shot a venomous glare at Yuan Mi, seething with hatred.

Initially, she had intended to protest, “I don’t rember!” But Shao Yunduan’s nacing threat had silenced her.

His words left her feeling utterly humiliated, as if she’d been stripped bare before everyone.

Who gave him the authority to pass judgnt in such a manner!

Yet, she could only seethe silently, unable to muster the courage to speak.

She could sense Shao Yunduan’s animosity and icy deanor. His threat of torture was no jest.

Fear gripped her.
