The situation was intricate, and it was only their branch that had plotted against ng Wanfu in the past, not the entire family clan. Severing ties with the entire clan would be self-destructive, erasing their roots and fostering fear and prejudice among the people. It was certainly not the optimal choice.

Embarking from the province city that morning, they reached Heshan County, spending the night at the county inn. Early the next morning, they set forth with a special destination—Shaoding Village.
Upon their arrival, the village was buzzing with activity, with families preparing breakfast. Smoke wafted from kitchen chimneys, and the sounds of chickens crowing filled the air, creating a lively atmosphere.
