But you sprang this on us so suddenly… We need so ti to process this, don’t you think? It was a valid point, but Zhao Shu couldn’t help but feel that Lord Shao was harboring ill feelings towards him. He was still agitated!
Aunt Qing chid in with a warm smile. “Mada Shao is right. Young Master is at fault in this matter… How about we revisit this once Lord Shao returns from Qingdi? Young Master’s intentions toward Miss Shao are sincere, so please have faith in Lord Shao!”
His Young Master had ford a friendship with Lord Shao and Mada Shao, but venturing into their hotown and pursuing a romantic connection with a local girl raised suspicions. It was challenging to explain if his intentions weren’t genuine.

Qiao Xuan couldn’t help but think, “You certainly comprehend!”
“Of course. You can head back for now.”
“Very well, Mada Shao!”
Without further explanation, Uncle Qing and Aunt Qing escorted Zhao Shu away.
Turning around, Zhao Shu noticed that Shao Yunduan hadn’t even spared him a glance. Frustration welled up within him, understanding that it was improbable to secure a definitive response. He departed unhappily.
As they settled into the carriage, Taotao sighed and pondered, “Uncle Qing, Aunt Qing, do you reckon Mada Shao might offer so clarity if I return tomorrow? Or perhaps after she gives birth?”
Uncle Qing and Aunt Qing exchanged a bemused look, torn between laughter and exasperation.
