Their account was now depleted.

Zhao Mu scoffed. “Our disobedient son has cost 400,000 liang, and you expect to spend even more on him? Forget it! He’s getting what he deserves!”
“400,000 liang?” Ms. Qin gasped in disbelief.
Refusing further conversation, Zhao Mu sneered and left.
Zhao Ye helped Ms. Qin to her feet, sighed heavily, and recounted the entire story.
Ms. Qin clutched her chest in despair.
400,000 liang! It was an exorbitant sum, and now it was gone – her son’s hard-earned money! She felt utterly heartbroken.
“This is absolutely outrageous!” Ms. Qin fud. “The old master is so greedy and biased! The mulberry garden is unhard, so why must we compensate them such a colossal sum?!”
