Chapter 803: Eight Hundred and One, Comndation Conference Chapter 803: Eight Hundred and One, Comndation Conference Luo Shu and Lin Helian walked into the conference hall, and there were not many people around yet.
“Sister-in-Law, you’re here!” Jin Zhihong saw the two, greeted them with a smile, and pointed to the two seats closer to the front, “Sister-in-Law, your seats are over there, Captain Lu has already arranged them for you.”
“Okay!” Luo Shu smiled and nodded. Hanmo had already guessed that Lin Helian would invite her to co along.
Luo Shu and Lin Helian took their seats, and Jin Zhihong went to the side room to pour a cup of water for each of them.
“This is my first ti in this eting room. Last year during the New Year, the performance team ca to the Guard District to perform, and many Guard’s Wives ca to watch, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it,” Lin Helian said with a sowhat lancholic expression. She wanted to co that ti too, but her son Yhan Cheng had been injured by other children. While everyone else was happily watching the performance here, she could only look at Yhan Cheng’s injuries, worried and crying.
“It’s all in the past, no one will bully you guys anymore,” Luo Shu comforted softly. Now Yhan Zhan is back, and he’s about to be promoted. Those Guard’s Wives would be too busy trying to ingratiate themselves with Lin Helian, how could they bully them?
“Okay!” Lin Helian nodded with a smile, Yhan Zhan was about to be promoted, and she was going to work at the sales outlet soon, their family’s life was only going to get better.
As ti passed, more and more people filled the conference hall.
Lu Hanmo and Yhan Zhan walked in and saw Luo Shu and Lin Helian chatting, then approached them with smiles.
Luo Shu saw Lu Hanmo and gave him a gentle smile.
Lu Hanmo noticed that Luo Shu’s cup was empty, took the cup and said, “Let refill this.”
“Okay!” Luo Shu nodded with a smile.
“Your husband, Captain Lu, is really considerate,” Lin Helian said enviously. She had never seen a man so pampering towards his wife. Although Yhan Zhan was also good to her, he wasn’t this ticulous.
“Then I’ll go pour so water for you too,” Yhan Zhan said with a smile, reaching to take Lin Helian’s cup.
“No! I’ll do it myself. You are the center of attention today,” Lin Helian laughingly pointed to a nearby spot, “The recognition ceremony is about to start, sit down.”
“Really, you don’t want to pour it? You’ll miss the chance if you pass it up,” Yhan Zhan said, raising an eyebrow playfully.
Lin Helian glared at Yhan Zhan and laughed, “Not now, you can pour it for when we get ho.” She was just speaking rhetorically and wasn’t truly envious of Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo’s relationship. Because she was equally happy, with a husband who loved her and a cute son, she had nothing else to be dissatisfied with in her life.
As the clock on the eting room wall reached one o’clock, Bai Tinggu strode onto the podium.
He smiled and looked around at everyone present, then began, “It’s an honor and a pleasure to preside over this recognition ceremony today. In every recognition ceremony, we see countless soldiers with outstanding contributions. They are the pride of all our Guard mbers. Let us start by applauding these outstanding Guardian mbers.”
“Clap clap clap!” Thunderous applause imdiately erupted.
Once the applause died down, Bai Tinggu continued, “All right! I’ll spare any extra words, now let start by announcing the nas of those soldiers with outstanding contributions.”
Picking up a sheet of paper, Bai Tinggu announced, “The soldiers who have achieved Third-Class rit include Comrade Zhang Lixin, Comrade Ma Yi, Comrade Xu Weizhou, Comrade Ge Zhenghu, please co up on stage now.”
“Clap clap clap!” Applause erupted again.
The four soldiers walked onto the stage under everyone’s gaze.
“Now, I invite Brigade Commander Fei Qunli to co up on stage and award the dals of Honor to these four comrades,” Bai Tinggu announced with applause.
Fei Qunli walked up onto the stage amid the applause. He saluted the audience, then walked up to the four soldiers and took the dals from the tray held by a young soldier to award the dals to them.
“Are you nervous?” Lin Helian turned to look at Yhan Zhan and asked. If it were her about to go on stage, she would certainly be trembling with nervousness now.
“Not nervous,” Yhan Zhan said with a smile, shaking his head. He had been undercover in Sabo’s camp for three years, and had seen all kinds of storms.
“But I’m really nervous! Feel my hand, isn’t it cold?” Lin Helian extended her hand. Although the person going on stage wasn’t her, the other person was her husband, and she was equally nervous.
Yhan Zhan took her hand, “Holding like this, don’t you feel much better?”
Lin Helian shyly withdrew her hand and glared at Yhan Zhan, “There are lots of people here.” This guy, how has he beco so shaless now.
“We are husband and wife, what does it matter?” Yhan Zhan cheekily winked at Lin Helian.
“Annoying!” Lin Helian, blushing, turned her attention back to the stage. Disturbed by Yhan Zhan like this, suddenly she felt not nervous at all.
At this mont on the stage, dals of Honor were being awarded to the soldiers who had achieved Second-Class rit.
“It’s almost your turn after they step down,” Lin Helian said. Previously, she just hoped her husband would co back safely, never thinking about any honors.
“Okay!” Yhan Zhan nodded with a smile. This mont was also unexpected for him; he thought he would never co back in this lifeti. As for these honors, he really had never thought about them.
Turning his head to look at Lu Hanmo, his gaze was full of gratitude. He didn’t know how he was rescued, but he knew that it was always the Lu family who had saved him. Therefore, he had decided, in this lifeti he would use his life to repay Lu Hanmo and the Lu family, and whenever they needed, he would unhesitatingly give his own life.
“The soldier who achieved First-Class rit, he infiltrated the enemy camp for a full three years, bringing over a hundred pieces of valuable information to our Guard District, making significant military achievents. He is Centurion Yhan Zhan from Seven Three Four Hundred. Let’s welco Comrade Yhan Zhan to the stage with a warm round of applause,” Bai Tinggu led the applause.
“Clap clap clap!” Thunderous applause rose.
Yhan Zhan stood up and walked onto the stage amidst the applause.
Reaching the podium, he stopped, saluted the audience.
“Comrade Yhan Zhan! Share your thoughts,” Bai Tinggu smiled at Yhan Zhan. After so days of recuperation, Yhan Zhan’s health had almost completely recovered.
Yhan Zhan looked at the audience, “I don’t have much to say because the deeds I did are what all the Guard mbers would do. I was just luckier to have the opportunity to receive this mission.”
