Clearly being the daughter of a high-ranking official, why would she insist on working under others and endure other people’s tempers?

Bai Xuxu nodded, “I’ve been on set recently.”

“The crew isn’t at the set right now, they’ve gone to other places for location shooting, and won’t be back for two months,” Bai Xuxu explained. “Susu, we aren’t strangers, why are you being so polite?” Mother Zhuo took Mother Bai’s hand and sat down on the sofa. Their relationship had been quite good over the years.
“Big sister, what have you been up to recently? I tried calling you several tis, but you were never at ho,” Mother Bai inquired.
“I just learned how to play mahjong, and I’m quite hooked. Would you like to learn? I can teach you,” Mother Zhuo looked at Mother Bai and asked. If it wasn’t for her visit to the Guard District today, she would have already been off playing mahjong.

“Jinchen Lu family? Are you referring to the number one family in Yan Country, the Lu family?” Mother Zhuo asked, her face filled with shock. People born into families like theirs were familiar with the major families of Jinchen.
Mother Bai nodded her head, “Big sister, I’ll head to the kitchen first, and we can continue our chat later.”
It took a while for Mother Zhuo to snap out of her shock. Perhaps she should stay for dinner tonight; eting soone from the Lu family could greatly benefit their Old Zhuo Family.
With that thought, Mother Zhuo stood up and walked toward the kitchen.
Luo Shu was about to start making dinner when the house phone rang. She put down the washed vegetables and walked to the living room to answer the phone.
As soon as she picked up the phone, she heard Lu Hanmo’s voice, “Shushu, Chief Bai has invited us to dinner tonight. I’ll co to pick you up after I finish up with my work.”
“Okay! Then you go ahead and stay busy,” Luo Shu said with a smile as she hung up the phone. Going to visit the Chief’s house called for not showing up empty-handed; she needed to prepare the gifts first.
Bai Tinggu looked up at the clock on the wall and said to Bai Xuxu beside him, “Xuxu, go out and see if Lu Hanmo and his wife have arrived.”
“Okay, Dad!” Bai Xuxu stood up.
Zhuo Luoluo also got up, “I’ll co with you.” Her curiosity about Lu Hanmo had been piqued after hearing about him from her uncle. A man with a strong background and strength was sought after by countless won. As for the couple she t yesterday, that could wait; right now, her primary interest was to see for herself what kind of man Lu Hanmo really was.
