Chapter 650: Six hundred and forty-eight, appointnt Chapter 650: Six hundred and forty-eight, appointnt He Xiulan bowed gratefully to Luo Shu and hurried into the operating room.

The doctors, who had looked at Luo Shu with admiration, followed suit. They had been skeptical when they first heard about her extraordinary dical skills, but now they had seen it with their own eyes. The bullet had been so close to the heart, yet she had managed to extract it in such a short ti, demonstrating the extent of her expertise.

“Luo Shu, on behalf of the entire Guard District, I thank you for saving our soldier,” Song Jiefang extended his hand, grateful as he shook Luo Shu’s. If it hadn’t been for Luo Shu, Ke Yan would have been in real danger. While Luo Shu was performing surgery on Ke Yan, he had already asked the doctors about Ke Yan’s condition, and their responses were dire.

“Commander, no need to be polite; it was just a small effort,” Luo Shu smiled at Lu Hanmo. Other than giving a pill this ti, she hadn’t really done anything else.

Seeing Luo Shu look his way, the corners of Lu Hanmo’s mouth lifted slightly.

Watching the two exchange tender glances, Song Jiefang smiled, coughed lightly, and headed for the operating room, “I’m going to check on Ke Yan.”

Lu Hanmo stepped forward to take Luo Shu’s hand, walking with her towards the exit.

“I have taken three days off to join you at the Divine Doctor Family tonight,” Lu Hanmo said with a smile.

Hearing this, Luo Shu looked up at Lu Hanmo, her face filled with surprise.

Lu Hanmo chuckled and ruffled Luo Shu’s hair, “Are you happy?”

“Mhm!” Luo Shu nodded joyfully, feeling happy with his company.

“Weren’t you planning to visit Jinchen? I’ve arranged with Mo Shaoze to et up tomorrow at noon.” It had been a while since he had seen Mo Shaoze since the landslide incident.

“How are things now between him and Shen Anning?” Luo Shu inquired. She had heard so of it from Wang Fei, about the relationship between Mo Shaoze and Shen Anning.

“They’re still bickering, but their relationship has actually been getting stronger.” Lu Hanmo’s smile deepened as he recalled the conversation he had with Mo Shaoze over the phone.

“They really are a pair of joyous foes, but they do match each other well,” Luo Shu comnted, recalling the first ti she t Shen Anning and couldn’t help but laugh.

Having dropped Luo Shu at her ho, Lu Hanmo leaned down to kiss her forehead, “I’m off to the office.” He had to settle all matters for the coming three days today.

“Okay!” Luo Shu watched Lu Hanmo’s retreating back until he was out of sight before she withdrew her gaze.

After closing the door, Luo Shu walked over to the phone and dialed a number.

“Hello!” A crisp voice answered.

“It’s ,” Luo Shu said.

“Luo Shu!” Wang Fei exclaid with delight.

“I’m visiting Jinchen tomorrow and would like to check on those candidates.”

“Then I’ll call them. When will you be over?”

“In the afternoon. Hanmo has already made plans with Mo Shaoze for noon.”

“Okay, I’ll have them co over at two-thirty, does that work for you?”

“That’s fine! I heard you’ve been recording an album recently?” Luo Shu asked, ntioning what Zhang Qi had told her on the phone.

“I was hoping to surprise you with it when you visit,” Wang Fei said as she picked up a yogurt from the desk and took a sip. Ever since tasting yogurt at Luo Shu’s, she had grown fond of its flavor. After asking Luo Shu for the recipe, she had made it a daily treat.

“Let listen to it when I co over then.”

“Sure! You’ll love it,” Wang Fei assured confidently.

After a brief conversation, Wang Fei hung up. Seeing Yang Mujing enter, she smiled at him, “Are you done with work?” She stood up, walked over to the fridge, took out a yogurt, and poured him a glass.

“It’s still early!” Yang Mujing took the glass and had a sip.

“Sit down, I’ll massage you a bit,” Wang Fei urged Yang Mujing to sit on the couch, then stepped behind him, placed her hands on his shoulders, and gently kneaded them. “Is this pressure okay?” Recently he had been working tirelessly on a project, even developing dark circles under his eyes which pained her to see.

“Mmhm!” Yang Mujing nodded, his eyes closed. As ‘Starlight’ continued to grow, his responsibilities increased; not only did he have to sign talented directors, but also scout good actors and nurture newcors.

“Luo Shu is coming over tomorrow,” Wang Fei ntioned while she massaged Yang Mujing’s neck.

“Isn’t she pregnant? Why is she traveling around? Brother Lu isn’t keeping an eye on her?” Yang Mujing asked with a smile. It had been a while since he’d last seen Luo Shu, and he missed her.

Wang Fei chuckled, “She’s not your average pregnant woman. Last ti she even joined us for a trip to Southern Sky. She’s coming this ti to see the actors I’ve picked for the script. She seems to have a special interest in that script.”

“I also think the script is great, especially the male lead who reminds of Brother Lu. That might be why Luo Shu is so invested.” Yang Mujing opened his eyes and gently grasped Wang Fei’s hands, turning to smile at her. “No need to massage anymore, my neck feels much better now.”

“You should take a rest, you look terrible,” Wang Fei said with concern.

“I’m fine, I’ll get so rest after this project is done.” Yang Mujing finished the yogurt in one gulp, set the cup on the coffee table, and headed to his office.

Wang Fei shook her head as she retracted her gaze, then glanced up at the wall clock and picked up her bag, leaving the office. She needed to buy him lunch, or else he would end up skipping als again.

Stepping out of the building, Wang Fei made her way to the street.

Arriving at a restaurant where she frequently ordered food, she selected a few of Yang Mujing’s favorite dishes. Their als used to be delivered by Fu Zhen, but since his restaurant was a bit far from their office, she had asked Fu Zhen not to bother. There were also other nearby restaurants with decent food.

Humming a tune while carrying the food, Wang Fei walked back toward the office building.

A figure suddenly appeared and blocked Wang Fei’s path.

Wang Fei looked at the newcor, a bit surprised, “Why is it you?”

“Why can’t it be ?” the person asked with a cold sneer.

“Do you need sothing?” Wang Fei asked with a frown. She wasn’t familiar with this person and didn’t like them either. She couldn’t understand why they would seek her out.
