“Not to ntion Sister-in-law Yang being upset, I’m upset just seeing that kind of person,” Sister-in-law Wu shook her head with a sigh.
Sister-in-law Xianglan nodded in agreent, “Absolutely! Sister-in-law Yang is still her sister-in-law no matter what, yet she spoke to her own sister-in-law with that kind of attitude, I’ve never seen such a little sister-in-law.”
“Sister-in-law Yang, don’t be angry,” Zhou Yan ca up, gently patting Zhang Xiaoling’s shoulder. Having such a sister-in-law must be awfully distressing.
Passing by a small shop, Yang Xing saw a public telephone inside and went in, “Auntie, how much is a long-distance call?”
“Two dis a minute.”
Yang Xing picked up the phone and dialed out, and soon soone on the other end picked up, “Uncle Ah Qing, can you get my elder sister-in-law, or the second one is fine.” Long-distance calls were sowhat costly, but it was nothing compared to Zhang Xiaoling’s factory. As long as she got her hands on the factory, even if she only got a small share, she could buy a bicycle and so pretty clothing.
Shortly after, the call was answered, “Yang Xing, it’s your elder sister-in-law speaking, what’s up?”
“Elder Sister-in-Law, I’ve got news for you. Zhang Xiaoling has opened a factory here, and it’s really booming. They make dozens or even hundreds a day,” Yang Xing said. Of course, that was a wild guess, but seeing how busy the workers were, it probably wasn’t far off.
