Chapter 557: Five hundred fifty-five, rectification Chapter 557: Five hundred fifty-five, rectification Officer Liu nodded and headed towards his office. Approaching Luo Shu, he asked, “Have you really decided to buy that house? Have you heard the stories about it?” It wasn’t that he disbelieved Aunt He’s words, but this matter was sowhat hard for him to accept. Although he didn’t believe in those things, he too felt an eerie sensation when passing by the place, especially while patrolling at night.

Luo Shu nodded, “Aunt He has told about it.”

Aunt He gave Officer Liu a ‘see, I told you so’ look.

Feeling a bit awkward, Officer Liu cleared his throat, “You’re not scared?”

Luo Shu shook her head with a smile, “I’ve been there, it’s actually quite nice.”

Officer Liu looked at Luo Shu as if she were so kind of monster, “You think it’s nice there?” Impossible! Even he, a grown man, felt a bit scared.

Luo Shu nodded, “Can Officer Liu help us with the property transfer?” She was aware of people’s opinions on the matter, so she already knew what kind of reactions they would have.

“Bring out your household registration books and the property deed,” Officer Liu said. Since the buyer didn’t care, why should he worry unnecessarily?

Luo Shu and Aunt He took out their household registration books and the property deed and handed them to Officer Liu.

Officer Liu took them and quickly filled in their information. After both of them pressed their fingerprints, he handed back the now renad property deed and the household registration books to Luo Shu, “It’s done now, the house is yours.”

Luo Shu nodded and took out eight hundred yuan and handed it to Aunt He, “This is eight hundred yuan, please count it.”

“Alright!” Aunt He took the money, spat into her hand, and started counting it with a grin. The eight hundred yuan was practically a gift.

After counting the money twice, Aunt He nodded with a beaming smile and handed over the keys to Luo Shu, “The amount is correct, here are the keys to the house.”

“Great!” Luo Shu reached out to take the keys and put them into her bag.

After Luo Shu and Aunt He left, Officer Liu stepped out of the office and headed to another one.

“All done?” As Officer Liu walked in, an older security officer asked.

“Yeah, do you know what they were processing? You won’t believe it if I tell you,” Officer Liu said with a chuckle. If he hadn’t processed it himself, he would never have believed it if soone else told him the story. Who would spend eight hundred yuan to buy a haunted house? It’s not livable, is it ant for ghosts to dwell in?

“What were they processing?” The old security officer asked curiously.

Officer Liu sat down opposite to the old security officer, pulled out a pack of Daqiann cigarettes, took out two, handed one to the older officer, and put the pack back in his pocket. He then took out a pack of matches, struck one to light the older officer’s cigarette, and then lit his own. He tossed the remaining matchstick into the ashtray on the table.

After taking a couple of puffs, he said, “The buying and selling of a house.”

“Aunt He wants to sell her house?” The old security officer exclaid in surprise.

Officer Liu exhaled a cloud of smoke and began leisurely, “It’s that house in Guantong Lane.”

“What?!” The old security officer’s mouth dropped open in astonishnt, and he didn’t even notice the cigarette fall from his lips.

Nightfall enveloped everything in inky silence.

Luo Shu and Lu Hanmo landed silently in the courtyard of the house.

After setting up a Formation, the two began to tidy up the place.

Lu Hanmo unsheathed his long sword and with a gentle wave, the weeds in the courtyard instantly disappeared without a trace. In the moonlight, only the green stone bricks covered with traces of moss were visible.

Luo Shu looked at the already dried-up pool, cleared away the debris in the pool with a wave of her hand, then threw in a water system talisman. Instantly, the pool was rippling with clear waves and, upon closer inspection, one could even see several Koi frolicking in the water.

By the ti it was nearly dawn, the two of them finally stopped. Looking again, aside from so blemishes on the house, the entire courtyard looked completely renewed. If soone were to see it at that mont, they would certainly think they had entered so garden.

When they returned to the residential area, Lu Hanmo went to the training camp, and after receiving a call from Wang Jinhui, Luo Shu drove back to the small town.

By the ti Luo Shu arrived, Wang Jinhui had already been waiting outside the house with the workers.

There were also quite a few residents of the town. They had all heard that the house had been sold and had co to watch the commotion.

“So it was her who bought the house? She doesn’t look like she has any problems in her head!”

“Didn’t you see they’ve already hired a renovation team, getting ready to fix up the place?”

“But you know, I’ve been here half the day, and I haven’t felt that eerie sensation from the past.”

“I haven’t felt it either, it must be because there are so many people here.”

“Really, too much money and no idea what to do with it. She’s going to regret it later.” As Luo Shu approached, the crowd began discussing animatedly.

“Chairman!” Wang Jinhui hurried forward to greet her as he saw Luo Shu.

Luo Shu smiled and nodded, “Let’s go inside.”

She went forward to open the door, and after Wang Jinhui and the workers had moved the renovation materials inside, Luo Shu closed the courtyard door, thus blocking out any inquisitive gazes.

“Chairman! They say this is a haunted house.” Wang Jinhui glanced around the courtyard, “It doesn’t look like it at all.” The colorful descriptions he had just heard from the people had made him sowhat believe it. However, after seeing the scenery of the courtyard, he imdiately dismissed the possibility. Not only was there no eerie aura here, but he also felt the air was exceptionally fresh, giving his lungs a comfortable feeling.

“It’s just rumors and nothing more. How could such things exist in this world?” Luo Shu pulled out a stack of blueprints from her bag and handed them to Wang Jinhui, “These are the design plans I’ve drawn up. Just follow these plans for the renovation.”

“Okay!” Wang Jinhui took the blueprints. He had already seen the plans she drew the last ti he did renovations at Luo Shu’s ho. Therefore, he had absolute confidence in her design plans.

“I’ll leave the rest to you here. Call my ho phone if you need anything,” Luo Shu said.

“Understood, Chairman!” Wang Jinhui nodded in agreent. He admired and looked up to Luo Shu from the bottom of his heart.

Luo Shu walked out of the courtyard and saw that the number of onlookers had increased.

“Young lady, I heard you bought this house, but it’s not clean, you know.” Soone warned kindly.

“I’ve lived in this town for most of my life. I know the stories here best, and people have died here,” said an old woman with a sowhat bent back.

Luo Shu smiled and nodded to the crowd, “Thank you for your concern! I’ve already bought the place and have been inside a few tis. There is none of what you’re talking about inside.”

“It’s because there are a lot of people today. You’ll feel it when there are fewer people.”

“It’s dayti now. It’s different at night.”
