Chapter 264: Two hundred and sixty-three, flirt Chapter 264: Two hundred and sixty-three, flirt Yang Muxue’s grip on the book tightened slightly, and an inexplicable sense of tension arose within her, “Teacher Luo!”
Luo Qianyu stopped in front of the two, looking seriously at Yang Muxue, “Yang Muxue, the assignnt I asked you to complete today hasn’t been submitted to yet. Why did you leave? Don’t you know this is irresponsible behavior!”
“I’m sorry! I forgot,” Yang Muxue apologized softly. She didn’t rember such a thing, but she wasn’t foolish enough to refute Luo Qianyu’s words.
“Who is this?” Luo Qianyu seed to have just noticed Yan Lixing.
“I’m Muxue’s friend,” Yan Lixing said with a smirk. He didn’t introduce himself, nor did he make any move to shake hands with Luo Qianyu. A re university teacher was not worth his attention.
“Oh!” Luo Qianyu nodded understandingly and turned to Yang Muxue, “Yang Muxue, shouldn’t you go back and finish what you need to do before leaving?”
“I’ll go right now.” Yang Muxue nodded to Yan Lixing and turned to walk back to the campus.
“Muxue, I’ll co with you,” Yan Lixing said, ready to follow.
But Luo Qianyu blocked his way, “Sorry! Outsiders are not allowed to enter the school.” Xiao Xuexue was his, and there were neither doors nor windows for anyone who wanted to compete with him for her.
“Do you know who I am?” Yan Lixing looked at Luo Qianyu coldly, his tone carrying a hint of threat. Even the school’s principal wouldn’t dare to stop him, yet this minor teacher dared to be so bold.
“I’m not interested in knowing,” Luo Qianyu shrugged and stepped forward to follow Yang Muxue. What about Yan Lixing? If he dared to compete with him for Xiao Xuexue, Luo Qianyu would make sure he wouldn’t recognize his own mother.
Yan Lixing also wished to follow, but the next mont he felt a sudden bout of stomach cramps.
He glared at Luo Qianyu fiercely and quickly ran towards the shops opposite the school. With his status, of course, he did not have to worry about finding a bathroom.
Luo Qianyu glanced at Yan Lixing, who was rushing into the store, and a slight curve ford on his lips. He winked at Yang Muxue, who was watching him, “Let’s hurry, or he’ll be back to bother you again.”
Yang Muxue nodded, a faint smile appearing on her lips, and followed Luo Qianyu towards the bus stop.
Luo Qianyu glanced at his watch, smiling at Yang Muxue, “Yang Muxue, I just helped you out. Shouldn’t you thank ?”
“Thank you,” Yang Muxue said flatly.
“That’s hardly sincere. Shouldn’t you at least treat to a bowl of wonton soup or a movie?” Luo Qianyu looked at Yang Muxue with a smile, expectantly awaiting her response.
Yang Muxue pursed her lips, “Then, I’ll treat you to wonton soup.” For so reason, she found herself looking forward to sharing wonton soup with him.
Luo Qianyu smiled and took Yang Muxue’s hand, “Since you’ve invited so earnestly, I won’t be polite. I know of a place where the wonton soup is delicious. Let’s go.”
The mont Luo Qianyu’s large hand grasped Yang Muxue’s, a current seed to pass from her fingertips straight into her heart, causing her heartbeat to uncontrollably quicken and a blush to spread across her cheeks.
“Your hand is very cold, are you cold?” Luo Qianyu inquired, looking at Yang Muxue.
“No,” Yang Muxue shook her head. Her hands were always like this throughout the year, cool and without much warmth.
Luo Qianyu took her hand and put it together into his pocket, “It’ll warm up quickly this way.”
“Thump! Thump! Thump!” Yang Muxue felt that, at this mont, she could only hear the sound of her own heartbeat.
She didn’t know when she had followed Luo Qianyu into the wonton shop. By the ti she ca to her senses, Yang Muxue realized that a large bowl containing wontons with shrimp and seaweed had already been placed in front of her. Wonton shops were rare in the North, where people preferred dumplings, and she wondered how Luo Qianyu knew about this place.
“Try it, the wontons here are really delicious,” Luo Qianyu said, spooning a wonton into his mouth, chewing with a look of satisfaction.
Yang Muxue withdrew her gaze, reached for the spoon in the bowl, scooped up a wonton, blew on it, and placed it into her mouth. The fresh flavor of shrimp mixed with seaweed, along with the savory taste of the at filling, made her appetite surge.
“Good, right?” Luo Qianyu swallowed the wonton in his mouth and smiled at Yang Muxue.
“Mhm!” Yang Muxue nodded.
“Then we’ll co again next ti,” Luo Qianyu said with a smile.
Yang Muxue nodded slightly, a faint smile lifting the corners of her mouth.
Yan Lixing finally managed to walk out of the restroom, his legs so weak that they trembled slightly as he leaned against the wall and slowly made his way outside.
Stepping out of the shop, he glanced at the school across the street. It seed he wouldn’t be able to go out with Muxue today. But why had he suddenly gotten diarrhea? He shouldn’t have eaten anything wrong.
As evening fell, the streets remained bustling with unceasing streams of people and traffic.
Luo Qianyu and Yang Muxue walked side by side on the road, slowly heading in the direction of the bus stop.
Suddenly, a light rain began to fall from the sky. Luo Qianyu quickly took off his coat and held it over Yang Muxue’s head.
“I don’t want it,” Yang Muxue tried to give the coat back to Luo Qianyu. It was raining, and he was wearing only a thin shirt, he would definitely catch a cold.
Luo Qianyu stopped Yang Muxue’s movent with his hand, “Keep it on, this kind of weather is the easiest to catch a cold in.”
“But you’ll catch a cold too,” Yang Muxue felt a warm current in her heart, flowing gently.
“I’m a man, it’s okay. The bus is coming; let’s hurry over,” Luo Qianyu said, grabbing Yang Muxue’s hand and running towards the bus.
Yang Muxue looked at Luo Qianyu’s handso profile, a slow smile spreading across her lips.
After escorting Yang Muxue to her doorstep, Luo Qianyu waved to her, “See you tomorrow!”
“See you tomorrow!” Yang Muxue smiled and nodded, watching as Luo Qianyu entered the neighboring yard before she turned and went inside her house. It was only then she rembered that Luo Qianyu’s coat was still on her.
Taking the coat off and holding it in her arms, Yang Muxue blushed as she slled the faint but pleasant masculine scent on it. What was she doing?
“Sis, you’re back?” With a pleasant low voice, a big boy wearing pajamas and a delicate face ca out of the kitchen with a cup of water in his hand.
“Xiao Jing?!” There was a hint of surprise in Yang Muxue’s eyes. Mu Jing was her only brother, and since their parents died, only the two of them had been reliant on each other. Although the Yang family was distinguished, besides providing the monthly expenses due to them, they didn’t show much concern for their welfare.
Mu Jing’s school was far from ho, and he usually boarded there. He only ca back on weekends, so she wondered why he had suddenly returned today.
