Chapter 141: 140, Ancient Tomb Discovered Chapter 141: 140, Ancient Tomb Discovered After chatting with Lu Hanmo for a while, Luo Shu hung up the phone and then called Mu Wan and Zhao Aishu to give them her phone number.
After talking to both of them for a while, Luo Shu headed off to the construction site.
Luo Qianyu was discussing with the designer about so details for the factory construction. This designer was a very famous one within the country, the chief designer of the Jingyi Bridge. It would have been impossible to hire him if not for the Divine Doctor Family’s face.
Luo Qianyu and Wei Xiao were both highly efficient people, and they quickly settled on a construction plan for the factory.
By the ti Luo Shu arrived, Luo Qianyu had already started to have the workers move soil to begin laying the foundation.
“Luo Shu!” Seeing Luo Shu coming over, Luo Qianyu waved at her with a smile.
Luo Shu smiled faintly and walked toward Luo Qianyu and Wei Xiao, “You move really fast, getting to work in just one morning.”
“I’ve already made arrangents with the foreman. At most in half a month, the factory can be completed. That includes the machinery and factory workers; everything will be in place by then,” Luo Qianyu smiled. Now that he recognized Luo Shu as his sister, he naturally took care of all the things he could so she wouldn’t have to worry.
“It’s great to have you here!” Luo Shu exclaid with a smile and then turned to look at Wei Xiao standing next to Luo Qianyu, “This must be Designer Wei Xiao, right? Hello!” In her past life, she had t Wei Xiao a few tis and, aside from being a bit proud and aloof, she thought he was a decent person.
“Hello!” Wei Xiao smiled faintly and nodded to Luo Shu.
Knowing Wei Xiao’s personality, Luo Shu didn’t engage in further conversation with him and looked at Luo Qianyu, “It’s getting late, let’s go to the Pastoral Restaurant for food.” Even though the Pastoral Restaurant was a bit lower in class compared to the Welco Guest Hotel, she didn’t want to go to the Welco Guest Hotel anymore after her previous experiences.
After asking Wei Xiao for his opinion, the three of them went to the Pastoral Restaurant.
Although the Pastoral Restaurant wasn’t as high class as the Welco Guest Hotel, the taste of the food was very good, and all three of them were extrely satisfied.
After lunch, the three returned to the construction site, where the workers had already begun laying the foundation.
As Luo Shu and the others were moving the packed lunch off the car and about to call the workers over to eat, a worker suddenly shouted not far away, “Co and see, there’s sothing buried here!”
The three of them hurriedly rushed over, only to see a circular copper ring in the place dug up by the workers, surrounded by so unclear patterns that seed carved out.
Luo Qianyu took the shovel from the worker’s hand and began to clear away the soil covering it. As the soil on top beca less and less, a one-ter square slate appeared in front of everyone. The slab depicted a soaring dragon, lifelike as though it was about to burst out of the stone.
Luo Shu crouched down to carefully examine the pattern and copper ring, noting a black spot at the eye of the dragon.
“Look here!” Luo Shu pointed to the black spot and spoke to Luo Qianyu.
Luo Qianyu leaned over to take a closer look, “It seems like a chanism.”
Luo Shu nodded, “That’s what I think too.”
They asked everyone to step back a bit, and Luo Qianyu pressed his hand on the black spot. He found it wasn’t easy to push down, and only when he released a trace of Inner Qi could he slowly press it in; a creaking sound followed, and the copper ring began to rotate slowly.
Luo Qianyu stood up and pulled Luo Shu back a few steps to the side, but kept a close eye on the changes on the stone slab.
The sounds grew louder and lasted for about a quarter of an hour. Once the noise finally stopped, the slab had vanished, revealing a square, pitch-black entrance.
Luo Shu and Luo Qianyu quickly approached and saw that the entrance was deep and that wisps of black vapor were rising from within.
The workers, seeing this, flocked toward the site. They had encountered ancient tombs before while digging foundations, and once they even found so gold and silver ingots and a coffin made of fine Chinese giant redwood.
“Don’t co over!” Luo Qianyu shouted sternly.
The workers halted in fear, but in the next mont, they broke into a cold sweat. As the black vapor erged from the entrance, the surrounding soil seed to oxidize instantly into black water, and the shovel Luo Qianyu had used monts before began to disintegrate at a pace visible to the naked eye. It was fortunate they hadn’t gone closer, or the consequences would have been unthinkable.
Luo Shu and Luo Qianyu had also stepped aside a bit upon spotting the black smoke. By now, they were certain that the entrance led to an ancient tomb, and the smoke was a chanism set by the tomb’s owner to prevent grave robbing.
Such smoke was known as Kirin Smoke. It started as a liquid, but once it encountered air, it would turn into a smoky haze with extre toxicity and corrosiveness.
Luo Shu took out two black pendants and handed one to Luo Qianyu, “Put this on, and let’s go inside to take a look.” These black pendants were defense talismans she had crafted yesterday. Once worn, they would activate automatically and block all external harm. However, each Defense Talisman didn’t last long, only about an hour, after which it would vanish without a trace.
