A small nightlight enveloped the large room, not bright but especially cozy.

An Yan nervously pressed the switch, and Fu Shiyan’s voice ca from the recorder.

"Yanyan, when you hear this recording, it also ans that I can’t co back.

Life inevitably brings so accidents, and although these accidents have taken away, they can’t take away my love for you and the children.

I said I would co back to have babies with you, to accompany you through ear surgery, and keep saying I love you over and over until you got sick of hearing it.

If I have broken my promise, I can only tell you in this way.

eting you was the luckiest and happiest thing in my life. Your playfulness, cuteness, and little tempers are all things I love. I love everything about you.

The first ti I saw your eyes, I was deeply captivated by you to the extent that I was willing to die for you, without even knowing what you looked like.

Perhaps I am just a romantic fool, but I am proud of it because my beloved is you."

While crying, An Yan laughed out loud, "Fool."

"Yanyan, I haven’t yet spent a proper birthday with you, given you a grand wedding, or proclaid my love for you loudly in front of everyone.

I want to be with you every mont, every minute, every second, and grow old with you, with our children and grandchildren around us.

I want to share every mont of life with you, whether it be joy or sorrow, happiness or sadness.

If I can’t co back, then go marry a good man.

Although the Mu Family and the Fu Family don’t lack the money to raise kids, you lack a companion.

I hope our children grow up healthy and safe, free from worries their whole lives.

Mu Anyan, I wish the rest of your life is sweet.

Mu Anyan, I love you.

Mu Anyan, I truly love you.

Mu Anyan, I really, really love you very much."

An Yan listened over and over, crying uncontrollably.

Her usual calm and invincible facade completely collapsed at that mont, utterly disintegrating.

An Yan tightly hugged the pillow, as if in doing so she could find so support and comfort.

She pleaded desperately, "Shiyan, co back, I beg you to co back. I miss you so much, what am I supposed to do in a world without you?"

Previously, without any news about Fu Shiyan, An Yan could pretend that he was still alive, that he had rely forgotten his way ho.

Now, his last words echoed in her ears, marking his definitive and true farewell, as if her heart was being torn out of her body.

She wept bitterly, feeling as if a knife were repeatedly piercing her heart and lungs, a pain so intense it felt unbearable.

The emotions aroused the babies sleeping in the small bed.

They started crying, their little faces turning red.

An Yan quickly picked up Anan and gently soothed him, then cald Yanyan.

After a while, the little ones cald down; their eyes rolled around, looking sowhat dazed.

It was then that An Yan rembered the recorder still repeating Fu Shiyan’s words on the bed.

An Yan covered her mouth to stifle her sounds, realizing they were looking for their father, the man who told them stories every night.

With the man’s magnetic gentle voice in the background, the little ones fell asleep again.

That night, An Yan had insomnia again.

She kept playing it on loop until the recorder’s battery died.

Since then, every night before going to sleep, she would hold the recorder, listening over and over to Fu Shiyan’s voice.

Ti flew, and in the blink of an eye, Anan and Yanyan went from crawling to walking.

The growth of a child is always fast, and they learn many skills.

Anan was first to utter the syllable "Dada," while Yanyan first said "Mama."

Yanyan often drooled, and Anan would watch him with a mix of seriousness, disdain, and despair.

Unable to stand it anymore, he would eventually slap.

Yanyan was used to acting spoiled; at those tis, he would crawl to An Yan’s feet, his plump lips pouting, his dark eyes swirling with tears, his red little nose conveying his grievances.

An Yan would pick up Yanyan and try to soothe him, but then he would cry even louder.

Anan didn’t care, grabbing a small cookie from the bowl and eating it.

Seeing his cookie getting eaten, Yanyan stopped crying instantly, grumbled sothing under his breath, and scuffled down from An Yan’s legs to fight with Anan for the cookie.

Despite having many cookies, Yanyan only wanted the one in Anan’s hand.

The two little ones clutched each other’s hands tightly and then both started crying.

Anan was definitely the kind of baby who would try to solve problems himself rather than seeking adults’ help; when his face beca flushed with the effort, he greeted Yanyan’s cheek with a slap.

Yanyan was stunned at first, looking at An Yan, and seeing that she pretended not to see, he found no solace in adults and instead hugged Anan, biting his cheek.

Since he had grown two lower teeth, Anan was bitten and started crying.

An Yan felt conflicted inside, finding it both distressing and amusing.

An Yan watched them grow day by day, feeling both satisfied and regretful.

Due to Fu Shiyan’s disappearance, there was unease within Fu Corporation, everyone felt that Fu Corporation was dood, since the person in charge had been missing for so long, work started slackening.

That day, An Yan applied delicate light makeup, donned a white suit, draped a beige cashre coat over her shoulders, and stepped into seven-centiter high heels downstairs.

Han Yang had seen An Yan’s bright and innocent side but had never seen her so mature and competent, a true female boss.

She bent down to pick up Anan, who was dressed in a dinosaur suit, and carried him outside with one hand.

Anan lay on An Yan’s shoulder, grinning down at Yanyan who was staring eagerly from below.

"Mommy, mommy..."

Yanyan crawled anxiously towards the door, his large black eyes about to squeeze out tears.

Han Yang, anwhile, picked up Yanyan, who was dressed in a Pikachu suit, in one hand and grabbed the mommy bag filled with essentials for the little ones with the other.

Han Yang, looking at Yanyan’s pursed lips, felt an inexplicable heartache.

Young master, don’t bla your mom for being partial; who asked your brother to look so much like your dad?

Once in the car, both little ones were placed in the child safety seats in the back.

An Yan sat in the passenger seat, flipping through docunts.

"Once the corporation sends out a notice for a eting, anyone who doesn’t arrive within twenty minutes should go directly to finance for settlent, regardless of their position."

Han Yang nodded, "Yes."

An Yan asked Han Yang to park at the corporation’s entrance rather than the underground garage; she turned back to see the two little ones, heads tilted, sleeping soundly and cutely.

Seeing Yanyan’s long trail of drool, An Yan laughed out loud.

Han Yang was sowhat distressed, "What should I do?"

"Carry them straight to the eting room."

Han Yang: "..."

This ti, An Yan picked up Yanyan, the little guy clung to her in her arms, a soft little bundle with long, thick lashes like tiny fans.

Han Yang carried Anan and followed behind.

The receptionist was initially taken aback, then hurried to the president’s exclusive elevator to call it.

Because during the Mu family’s recognition event, Fu Shiyan had transferred all his assets to An Yan, so the real owner of the company should now be Mu Anyan.

The receptionist bowed, "President Mu, hello."

Following her into the elevator, Han Yang corrected the receptionist, "It should be Chairman Mu."

The receptionist apologized repeatedly, "I’m sorry, Chairman Mu, I’m sorry."

An Yan smiled slightly, "It’s okay, close the door, please, and thank you."

An Yan sat at the head of the eting table, with a thick blanket spread out on it; the two little ones continued to sleep soundly.

Anyone walking into the eting room and seeing this scene would beco silent as a cicada in winter, afraid to wake the two young masters.

But there were those who were oblivious to the rules, specifically, the executives who failed to arrive within the required twenty minutes.

They knocked on the eting room door loudly.

The two little ones were startled awake, their mouths turning down as if about to cry.

An Yan quickly put pacifiers in their mouths, calming their emotions.

Han Yang, furious, opened the door, and the four tardy executives strutted in.

President Li glared, "No one has managed the company for so long, and you pull rank as soon as you arrive! What is the aning of this!"

Those seated around the oval conference table turned their eyes to An Yan.

An Yan looked back at him, her voice cold and clear, "On the grounds that I am the chairman of the Fu Corporation, firing you is justified. Han Yang, send him to finance for settlent."

President Li cursed, "I’ve worked at the Fu Corporation for so many years; if not for rit, then for hardship. You’re just a parasite clinging to Fu Shiyan, what abilities do you have to manage such a large corporation?"

The other three executives also chid in.

"Exactly, hasn’t the corporation’s economy been maintained by us all this while?"

"What have you done?"

"Everyone here, hurry up and call a board eting to depose Mu Anyan and elect a new chairman!"

"Exactly, she’s now a mber of the Mu Family. How can she possibly let the Fu Family have it easy?"

The crowd exchanged glances, each harboring their own sches.

An Yan smiled lightly, "Since that’s the case, I could completely transform Fu Corporation into Mu Corporation which would give absolute control."

She looked at the people in front of the conference table, "What do you think of this plan? Having the top leaders of Mu Corporation lead you while you all get demoted?"

The directors present expressed that they would swear loyalty to Fu Corporation and to An Yan.

President Li, pointing at them, burst out, "A bunch of opportunists! Don’t you even look at who you are working for! You’ve literally beco the dogs of the Mu Family!"

An Yan looked at everyone, "Whether it’s Mu Corporation, Fu Corporation, or the previous An Corporation, I will manage and operate it well. I haven’t been managing because partly due to my health and partly because I was collecting so relevant information on all of you present. I called this eting today also to eliminate so of the rotten ones. Han Yang, send out the docunts, those involved should leave quietly, and if there’s trouble, I’ll see you in court."

She glanced at the ugly faces of the four who were late, pulled out corresponding photos from the kraft paper bag, and dropped them on the floor, "Leaking our company’s secrets to rival companies, you can wait for the court summons for such actions."

President Li saw the photos on the ground of him dining with the manager of the competitor company and yelled, "It was just a al, what did I leak?" saying so, he strode forward to confront.

The remaining three blocked Han Yang.

When President Li’s hand was about to touch An Yan’s shoulder, An Yan grabbed his wrist, suddenly stood up, and dislocated his arm with a shoulder throw, slamming him onto the ground.

Her high heel stepped on his chest, "I’m so sorry, I forgot to tell you, I was once a Sanda champion."

She looked at Han Yang, "Assistant Han, I want to sue him for personal assault."

Han Yang nodded, "Yes, Chairman Mu."

An Yan sat back down, played with the two little ones who had already sat up, fed them so water, and then looked at the crowd, "Starting from my left hand side, everyone begins to report on the current stage of work."

From then on, it beca customary for the chairman to bring the kids to work, and nobody found it strange.

Especially during etings, the two little ones would play with toys in the middle of the oval conference table, crawling here and there, grabbing things every which way.

Over ti, many people in the conference room who wore glasses switched to wearing contact lenses.

After all, the two little ones were quite destructive, breaking the arms of glasses or removing the lenses.

Especially young Fu Jinyan, who was addicted to the ga of throwing things and then giggling.

It caused quite a headache for many of the executives.

But the kids were just too adorable, their fair faces frad with dark, glossy eyes, cute noses, and chubby little mouths, all topped with long, uncut birth hair like real-life dolls.

Who could really stay mad at him?

Little Fu Mu’an, on the other hand, often had a serious little face, as if pondering over things.

The executives would subconsciously feel trendous psychological pressure, as if they were seeing Fu Shiyan.

Of course, now what made them the most nervous was Mu Anyan, who since taking over acted with swift and resolute asures, just like Fu Shiyan.

Under her leadership, the company not only quickly managed to recover from declining performance but also increased it by five percentage points.

Mu Anyan beca a symbol of independent won, and all the company’s employees admired her deeply.
